"So stingy. It won't even give away a few feathers."
Damian shook his head as he watched Ho-Oh fly away into the distance. This big turkey was simply too cheap.
"And it has no manners at all. How could it even curse at someone?"
Damian was quite dissatisfied. That's right, Ho-Oh had actually been grumbling as it left, saying things like, 'Greedy human, you're beyond help. Don't you know how important feathers are to a bird?' Didn't it know how much that hurts?
I just wanted it to perform a live molting session, and it actually cursed at me! This bird is so rude! How does a bird like this even have believers?
"..."
Erika smiled awkwardly. She actually wanted to say that it was already very polite of Ho-Oh not to just blast him with a Sacred Fire.
"Never mind. The harvest is already pretty good. Let's head back."
Damian stretched widely and spoke to Caitlin and Erika.
Shadow Mewtwo silently used its psychic powers to put its restraint armor back on, "transforming" once again into Armored Mewtwo. Through the recent battle, it had discovered more issues. As long as the output of psychic power was too vast, there were still many areas it couldn't control finely. The restraint armor could effectively help it.
The three of them returned to Vermilion City.
Damian went to the backyard of the villa and opened a Poké Ball. With a flash of white light, Suicune appeared before him.
"Whirr!"
As soon as Suicune appeared, it immediately pulled away from Damian and began hissing at him. Clearly, Suicune was still very resistant to Damian.
"You already lost to me, and you couldn't resist the capture of the Poké Ball. I am your Trainer now."
"Whirr!!"
Suicune glared at Damian. It had clearly refused, yet Damian had insisted on forcibly capturing it!
"There's no use being angry. This is an established fact." Damian raised an eyebrow. "Besides, why don't you look at this?"
Damian took out that vivid and eye-catching Rainbow Wing. Suicune looked at the feather with suspicion and uncertainty. Is this Ho-Oh's?
"That's right. Ho-Oh gave this to me. It shows that Ho-Oh also acknowledges me. What's so bad about following me?"
Damian smiled and waved the feather in front of Suicune. A subtle change appeared in Suicune's eyes; it was wavering. It could tell that this was indeed Lord Ho-Oh's feather, and a very "fresh" one at that. It must have just fallen from Lord Ho-Oh's body. If it was Lord Ho-Oh's judgment... there surely shouldn't be any problem?
"While I'm certainly not a 'good person,' I really do like Pokémon. I'm also dedicated to making it so that humans and Pokémon in this world can coexist in harmony." Damian ramped up the pressure upon seeing this. "For a world like that, I really need your strength, Suicune."
Damian's tone was very sincere, because he knew that many Pokémon fell for this kind of talk.
"There are many dark corners in this world. Many people are active just for their own selfishness and desires. This is the reality of this world. But we also have things we can achieve. Facing reality is the first step, right? It is necessary to eliminate those filthy, crazy things."
Damian wasn't exactly lying. After all, organizations like Team Magma, Team Galactic, and Team Plasma were all either lunatics or psychos. If he wiped them all out and absorbed them, wasn't that doing a good deed? Damian felt that he was clearly a great philanthropist! But those people always called him "the evil Team Rocket" over and over again. It was really too much.
"For a blue and pure world! Let's work hard for it together!"
"Whirr!!"
Suicune was moved. It hadn't expected this human to have such a grand ideal. No wonder Ho-Oh had chosen him! Suicune stepped closer to the young man. Under the influence of its first impression, it felt that this human wasn't lying to it. Because Ho-Oh couldn't be wrong! The fact that Ho-Oh had given him this high-grade Rainbow Wing was the proof.
"Not bad. However, your current strength isn't quite enough. Next, I'm going to start special training for you, Suicune. Can you handle it?"
"Whirr!!"
Suicune was full of fighting spirit.
"Good. You've got spirit."
Damian was satisfied. Actually, Suicune's own strength was already quite high. After all, it was a being that had been granted new life by Ho-Oh's power. But for Damian, that wasn't enough. It still needed to train.
Early the next morning.
"Damian, it's time to wake up. Wait! Don't do that! You... mgh..."
In Damian's room, Erika had come to wake him up again, only to be pinned to the mattress in an instant. Damian's heavy, muscled body crushed her into the sheets, his hands locking her wrists down as he dominated her once more. Erika's pretty face turned a bright, burning red, but the intensity of his deep, hungry kiss made her head spin with dizziness.
Slurp... Gluck... Slop...
Then...
Ten minutes later, Erika covered her eyes and fled from Damian's room as if she were running for her life. It was too scary! The flower-arranging young lady felt dizzy. Was she really not going to break?
But what she didn't know was that on the other side of the door crack, an eye had been watching her the whole time.
"Ugh... it's fine. Damian is just using her to practice his technique. Ugh..."
The young lady with gorgeous blonde hair gripped the doorknob, constantly comforting herself. She forcibly suppressed the urge to brick that bad woman, who was always "snacking" in secret, into the wall. She couldn't do that. If she did, Damian would definitely be unhappy. Besides, in the end, she was just a maid. No threat at all!
After finishing her mental preparation and calming her emotions, Caitlin stepped out of her room with an elegant stride, looking as noble and magnificent as ever.
Only I, Caitlin, can become a wife worthy of Damian!
...
Lavender Town, a town filled with a quiet atmosphere.
The so-called "Shion" refers to the noble color of purple orchids. Therefore, most of the buildings in Lavender Town have a purple hue. Lavender Town is also home to the famous Pokémon graveyard in the Kanto region. All burial and mourning activities take place in the Pokémon Tower within the town.
The Pokémon Tower is the most famous building in Lavender Town and is the tomb for Pokémon. However, in the second generation, the Pokémon Tower was converted into the Lavender Radio Tower, and the Pokémon originally buried inside were moved to the House of Souls.
Damian and the other two had arrived in Lavender Town now, but it wasn't for the Pokémon Tower.
The Pokémon House. Damian looked at the wide-open gate and walked straight in. The inside of the Pokémon House was simple and ordinary, divided into small stalls. Various Pokémon lived inside. Bellsprout, Rattata, Marowak, and so on.
"Hello. Are you here to adopt a Pokémon?"
A little girl wearing a floral dress came forward and asked the three of them curiously.
"No. We're looking for Mr. Fuji. Do you know where he is?"
Damian put on his usual gentle smile and asked the little girl.
"Mr. Fuji is helping Nidoran take a bath. You'll probably have to wait a little while," the little girl said.
"Then we'll just wait. We also brought some food for these Pokémon to eat."
Damian took several bags of Pokéblocks and some cakes and snacks from his backpack and placed them in the corner. The so-called Pokémon House was actually a "home" where Mr. Fuji took in abandoned Pokémon or those who had lost their parents. Simply put, it was a welfare house similar to the Aether House. However, unlike the Aether House, which had the Aether Foundation backing it, the Pokémon House was built solely by Mr. Fuji himself.
"Wow!! Thank you! This is enough to last Rattata and the others for a long time!"
The little girl's eyes lit up. She was extremely happy, and a blatant, joyful smile appeared on her small face.
"Haha~. This is for you."
Damian couldn't help but laugh. He took out a lollipop, tore off the wrapper, and handed it to the girl.
"Thank you~" the girl thanked him sweetly, her eyes squinting into crescent moons.
After chatting briefly with the girl, Damian confirmed that life at the Pokémon House was indeed tight. After all, Mr. Fuji didn't have much of an income right now. If it weren't for the townspeople and traveling Trainers frequently helping with supplies and occasionally donating money, it would have been hard for the Pokémon House to survive until now.
About twenty minutes later, a bald old man with a grey-and-white shirt and white eyebrows walked over from inside the room. At his feet was a clean Nidoran.
"Mr. Fuji, a super nice guy, came and gave us lots of food!"
The little girl was the first to greet him excitedly.
"Is that so? Then we really must thank him. You... Damian?"
Mr. Fuji rubbed the girl's head kindly, but when his gaze landed on Damian, his expression suddenly changed.
"Long time no see, Mr. Fuji."
Damian greeted him with a smile.
"...So you eventually tracked me down?" Mr. Fuji's face turned slightly pale. He tried his best to keep his voice from trembling.
"It's not as bad as all that. I just wanted to have a chat with you, Mr. Fuji. I don't have any other intentions." Damian shook his head.
"I understand. Come with me."
Mr. Fuji took a deep breath. Some things always have to be faced.
The group went outside the Pokémon House. Of course, the little girl didn't follow. Mr. Fuji told her to stay inside and continue looking after the Pokémon, and she was very obedient.
Lavender Town was truly quiet. Even though it was afternoon, the entire town was peaceful. Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, falling in patches. The hazy light and shadows were dreamlike and beautiful.
"This place is truly serene. No wonder you chose to settle down here, Mr. Fuji."
Damian sat on a bench under a tree and smiled at the old man.
"I have already severed my ties with Team Rocket, Damian. You should know that. I have never leaked any information regarding Team Rocket either."
Mr. Fuji replied tiredly.
This Mr. Fuji was actually a member of Team Rocket before? Erika was quite surprised because Mr. Fuji looked like a very ordinary, kind old man with nothing special about him.
"Of course. That's why we've never come to disturb you, isn't it? Or did you really think we couldn't find you?" Damian replied with a laugh. "Although your departure without saying goodbye did cause us some trouble, Mewtwo's birth was basically complete by then. It was just waiting for the awakening process. Personally, I am willing to respect your wishes."
Mr. Fuji remained silent.
"So, Damian, why are you looking for me now? I don't want to do any more research."
Mr. Fuji's aged voice sounded very weak. That's right. He was actually the research doctor who brought Shadow Mewtwo into existence. But at the final moment, Mr. Fuji had regretted it, so he and another doctor fled New Island.
"That is truly a waste of your talent." Damian sounded a bit regretful. "A person with such outstanding talent as yours deserves better treatment and a better life."
"Creating Mewtwo for you... that is the greatest sin of my life." Mr. Fuji finally spoke his true thoughts.
Creating... Mewtwo?? Caitlin and Erika were stunned. Does this mean Mewtwo is a man-made Pokémon?
"Why do you feel that way? Yes, we enhanced Mewtwo's combat instincts, but this is how it's supposed to be. Mr. Fuji, you still have a prejudice against us." Damian shook his head.
"Mewtwo's existence shouldn't be for fighting! It is a brand-new life; it has its own future!!" Mr. Fuji's tone gradually became agitated. "Especially... making it fight for your Team Rocket's ambition! It shouldn't be like this."
"Of course, I can understand your feelings, but please calm down." Damian raised an eyebrow. "I didn't come here to argue with you today. I think that besides Mewtwo itself, no one understands it better than you do. So, I would like to ask for a favor. Mewtwo's potential doesn't stop here. There is even greater power within its body. I want to ask you to help it liberate that power."
Damian smiled and stated his purpose for coming. That's right. He was referring to Mega Evolution! But Shadow Mewtwo's Mega Stone wouldn't just appear out of thin air. In Damian's view, only Shadow Mewtwo itself and Dr. Fuji here would be able to create it.
"Impossible!" Mr. Fuji refused without hesitation.
"Oh?" Damian looked at Mr. Fuji with a half-smile. "Forget it. No matter what I say, you won't believe me. Let's try something more realistic."
Damian tilted his head slightly, and a thick sense of malice curled at the corners of his mouth.
"Mr. Fuji, I'm sure you wouldn't want those Pokémon in your house or that little girl to have an accident, would you?"
Mr. Fuji's face instantly turned white.
