"Ah?" Lin Huahua's eyes slowly opened as she blinked around the strange room confused. She seemed to be in some type of...hut?
"My head hurts." Lin Huahua pouted trying to remember what happened but she did not even have enough time when she suddenly heard a muscular voice beside her.
"Are you ok Hua'er?" Mu Qingyi who had stayed by Lin Huahua's side for three days straight immediately shot up the moment he sensed his mate waking up.
The poor deer had been scared to death when he saw his female in the forest. He had thought he was too late again and almost ended his life.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Lin Huahua screamed and moved backwards on the fur that she had been laying on.
She looked at the man like he was a strange creature.
Where have I seen this man?
Lin Huahua asked herself, and that was when she realized everything that was happening. She was in one of her father's simulations.
These simulations were different worlds and scenarios that would be crafted by her father and the government in their world.
They were usually used for punishments or teaching the people things, sometimes even exams.
One would be able to live in the simulation and when they were done with that particular life they could return back to her original world and live life normally.
But every experience in the simulation would feel identical to reality.
She immediately understood this was her father's doing. Her father had placed her in a simulation. But why?
"You..." Lin Huahua studied the confused man. He had unusually large antlers and a tail behind him that made Lin Huahua gasp softly.
Oh no daddy sent me to the beast world!!!
Lin Huahua's eyes widened as she realized.
"Hua'er are you ok?" Mu Qingyi reached out towards Lin Huahua with worry, he wanted to check if there was any injury he had missed but instead Lin Huahua pulled back.
Mu Qingyi's brown eyes immediately saddened. His buck ears immediately dropped.
He already expected that reaction from Lin Huahua. Besides she never really saw him as her mate.
Even though she willingly completed their mating bond last night and had sex with him. She still could not let go of that damn beast.
"Did you run away again because of Wei Ranshu?" Mu Qingyi finally spoke breaking the silence and the moment he said the name Wei Ranshu loads of memories that did not belong to Lin Huahua suddenly flooded her brain.
"Ah" Lin Huahua whimpered in pain as she clutched her head.
Her life in this simulation was really tragic. Even though the past owner of this body had so many handsome and strong males surrounding her.
She always treated them badly and never cared about any of them except for a cocky weak peacock beastman called Wei Ranshu.
The past owner of this body had been too obsessed with that peacock that when she even found out the peacock might belong to someone else and not her, she ran away from home and almost committed suicide!
Thankfully Mu Qingyi had found her on time, if not...
Lin Huahua let out a sigh, later she would figure out how to contact her father and beg him to get her out of this simulation. But first this beast man...
Lin Huahua turned to face Mu Qingyi "Thank... Ah? What are you crying" Lin Huahua's eyes widened with surprise.
The man before her was crying softly as if he was in so much pain. Was it because of the way she reacted?
"Hua'er, I know that you will always love Wei Ranshu no matter what I do for you. But please can you not think of taking your life again because of him? He clearly does not want to be your male, why must you put yourself in danger every time"
Lin Huahua blinked in confusion and immediately searched her memory. The man before her was Mu Qingyi.
And out of all the men by her side. He was the only one who was in love with the original owner of the body, despite all her bad treatments towards him.
He was originally devoted because the past Lin Huahua had saved his life but slowly fell in love.
Lin Huahua felt conflicted, this was just a simulation but why did she feel so bad for him.
He looked so pitiful she felt the urge to pet his head. So she reached out "Come—"
But instead Mu Qingyi flinched and bowed immediately from fear of being hit by her.
Ah how could I forget the past owner of this body was really abusive to her males.
"Hua'er I know you must be mad at me, but please can you not hit me you are still recovering. Wait till you've recovered before stressing yourself again" Mu Qingyi's hands squeezed the fur below him as he awaited Lin Huahua's response.
But instead Lin Huahua felt like he was crazy. He wasn't even begging for himself, instead he was putting her first even when he felt like she would hit him.
Was this man crazy?
Lin Huahua let out a sigh and moved closer to Mu Qingyi who still had his head bowed.
She hesitated but then finally ran her hand through his head.
"Why are you so silly? Who said I was going to hit you?"
Her voice was so soft that Mu Qingyi's eyes widened and he had to get up and look at Lin Huahua to be sure he wasn't dreaming.
But all he saw in her eyes was something innocent and sweet nothing like the vicious rat princess that had neglected him for years.
Lin Huahua tilted her head staring at him with wide brown eyes. Then to make things worse she smiled softly and Mu Qingyi started suspecting that she may have been possessed.
"Hua'er—" he started but before he could even finish a loud arrogant voice broke the silence.
"Is she still alive or dead yet?"
