Everyone in this world is wearing a mask, hiding his/her evil or dirty side. Some like to be true to their self whilst some just decide to wear a mask.
Soham used to think that everyone is innocent until he started seeing the true faces of the men around him.
"It hurts after a breakup" said Soham to his best friend Michelle on the call.
"It's been a year Soh, you need to forget about him and move on. There are plenty of fishes in the sea. Also if you don't want to start a relationship than I suggest go on dates, start a fling maybe a one night stand" replied Michelle on the other side of the call.
Soham was silent for a moment when he answered,"You know what Mich, I'll go for your advice." Now it was Michelle's turn to be in a state of shock for she didn't thought Soham will actually agree to her suggestion.
Before she could response, Soham continued, "I met actually go for casual dates maybe one night stand too, until I'm ready for a relationship or fall in love with someone else. Well I'm going to install some dating apps, make profile on them and see what happens, but will keep you updated. Bye, Bye Mich."
Michelle could only say, "Bye" because she didn't know what just happened.
Soham stood up from bed with his cell phone in his hands he walked towards the mirror, opened the camera and started clicking some pictures of himself in which he concealed his face, like poses where his face couldn't be seen. Soham looked at himself in the mirror. His messy caramel brown hairs, green eyes like an emrald which just enhances his fair skintone. A tattoo of wings on his collarbone which he made while he was on a break with his ex-boyfriend.
After seeing the pictures he opened the app Store and installed a dating app named, "HieMeet". He has heard about this app from his childhood best friend, Azhar, who has been using the app for hookups.
Soham didn't realized when he has made an account on that app, or when he has uploaded his pictures on it but he was taken back into reality when he was asked about his role.
If someone asked him a year ago he wouldn't have answered that question but now he knew and with a smile on his lips he clicked on "Bottom" option and proceeded further.
Soham has been studying in London for two years and now he is back in India for two months on a vacation. Since he is idle at home, his mind keep on remembering his ex, so to distract himself he downloaded the dating app and is swiping right or left randomly.
After spending couple of hours Soham decided to go out of his room as he thought his parents would have started to wonder as to where their only son has gotten busy.
So Soham walked out of his room spend some time with his mom as his dad was in bank, working .
As the clock hit five, Soham's friend Azhar came over as they both headed out. During this time Soham was glued to his cellphone replying the text of the guys on the app.
He instantly learned that most of the guys here were into hookups and Soham was ready for hookups but he wanted the guy to be of his interest.
Azhar was curious as to what Soham was doing on his cell phone and upon asking he got the answer that, "Soham is just doing timepass."
He roamed around with Azhar on his bike and was back home by the evening.
His mom was out with her friends so Soham wore the apron plugged in his headset and started preparing dinner while listening to some songs.
As he were dining he got a call from Michelle who was sharing how her boyfriend had flirted with a girl just to make her jealous and now she is plotting revenge.
Soham was enjoying this as he always witness the fight between Michelle and Aaron and the outcome of their fight always result in pure love. He mentally kept a note to himself that after his call with Mich was done he will call Aaron and give him heads-up about Michelle being angry with him.
By the time his dinner was cooked he had talked with Michelle and was now back in living room. He had numbers of notifications from that app as he opened it and saw number of messages.
He just aimlessly swiped it up only to stop at a name, "Shahmeer". The name itself make him curious he opened the text and started reading.
"Hi Soham, Shahmeer here, well I won't lie when I say that your way of clicking picture is intriguing and you trying to be mysterious has made me curious. So to satisfy my curiosity I'm here texting you to know about this mysterious guy. P.s. I know you will read my text so drop a reply as it's very wrong to keep someone waiting."
Soham kept on reading that text message and a single thought just keep on coming in his mind how does this guy know that I'll read his message? Is it a common pick up line or was he genuine?
He kept the cell phone on the sofa sighed and murmured to himself, "Fuck it, I'm also curious as to how he knew I'll read so let's satisfy my curiosity. Afterall I'm here to experience something new, loose myself from the thoughts of my ex boyfriend."
He then picked up his cell phone again and texted, "Hi Shahmeer, well .. since it's like curiosity is from both side so let's satisfy each other curiosity. And since you said keeping someone waiting is very wrong then I assume you won't keep me waiting too..."
