The next day, the palace bustled with activity as they prepared the hall for the Shen Jiumei's coming of age ceremony. In a luxurious brightly lit room , Shen Jiumei is dressed in a beautiful red and gold outfit which revealed his bare waist , his hair was not styled but elegantly draped on his back , his face was painted with makeup no to much but enough to enhance his already stunning features and his fox tails swayed gently behind him .
As soon as Shen Jiumei stepped into the bustling hall filled with demons , silence swept across the room as all eyes fall on him , then several gasps of awe could be heard as everyone marveled at his beauty .
Shen Jiumei paid them no mind and simply walked to where is designated seat was and sat down , as the demons start to speculate who he was to the heavenly demons , a bell was rang as a sign to show that the ceremony should proceed .
Yin Hua had been chosen to act as a parental figure for Shen Jiumei due to the fact that she was his teacher and she was close with him .
Shen Jiumei was brought to the middle of the hall were he was seated on a cushion as Yin Hua came to his back and used an intricate hair comb to comb his hair while chanting something under her breath after she was done with the incantation, she proceed to style Shen Jiumei's hair in a bun and then inserted a bamboo hairpin she had made for Shen Jiumei into his hair then took a brush and red pint in which she used to make a petal shaped huadian in between Shen Jiumei's eyebrows.
After the ritual was done , Shen Jiumei and Yin Hua took their seats as Tianlang Jun stood up to announce something.
Tianlang Jun had decided to be the one to announce the marriage so the officials will not be able to say anything.
" Today's ceremony was not only for Shen Jiumei's coming of age ceremony but also for the announcement of who Binghe's Bride will be " said Tianlang Jun
Gasps erupted in the room as demons murmured about who Luo Binghe had chosen as some old officials had tried to recommend their children but got rejected. The hall got noisy as the demons tried to guess who the person was.
" Silence " said Tianlang Jun with authority as the demons immediately became quite hearing his voice .
After the demons became quiet , Tianlang Jun continued to speak " After careful consideration, Binghe has chosen Shen Jiumei to be his Bride and Empress and they are to wed on the first of next month " .
Upon hearing that statement, shocked rippled through everyone faces in the room . A official spoke up and said " but JunShang how can someone from nowhere become an Empress even if they are a rare Huli Jing" .
Hearing the statement Luo Binghe almost stood up to teach the old demon a lesson but was stopped by Tianlang Jun who noticed his anger and made a sign to him to show that that he would handle everything Tianlang Jun raise his eyebrow and say" oh so you have grown so bold to question my orders even if I have stepped down from the throne that does not mean I am powerless" the threat was in Tianlang Jun's voice as the officials immediately understood that Tianlang Jun would not change his mind.
The official immediately knelt down and say " I dare not ".
" So then I do not want to hear another word from you said Tianlang Jun to the official before turning to address the crowd " that is all I need to announce, that will be all enjoy " as he took his wine cup and toasted to the crowd.
As the banquet continued , demon lords immediately tried to go to Luo Binghe and Shen Jiumei to curry favor since they were going to be ruling the demon world very soon . Shen Jiumei utilized everything he had learned from Yin Hua and impressed the demons there by his eloquent speech and graceful manners.
After the banquet ended Luo Binghe and Shen Jiumei retired to their room to rest and did not do anything intimate as Shen Jiumei was tired from the all the socializing .
