Chapter 9 - Core formation

As Leo gradually got the hang of his new realm, hunting changed.

Giant creatures that once forced him to flee now became targets. Dinosaurs that had haunted his early days fell under coordinated strikes, their massive bodies collapsing beneath precise force and overwhelming momentum.

Fear didn't vanish.

It was replaced by judgment.

His knowledge base expanded rapidly. As an Innate Realm practitioner, Leo learned to draw in cosmic energy through his body—not recklessly, but in controlled circulation—tempering muscles, bones, organs, and nerves until his entire system functioned as a unified whole.

Even so, he wasn't arrogant.

"I'm not invincible," he reminded himself more than once.

Some behemoths could still trample him into the ground if he misjudged timing or positioning. Power meant nothing without awareness.

Daily life improved.

Research into medicine advanced dramatically. He refined herbal mixtures, improved recovery salves, and reduced long-term injury risks. Other skills followed, steadily climbing, though none underwent another qualitative transformation.

He didn't yet understand the trigger.

So he trained.

And trained.

Three months passed in isolation.

The jungle around his territory changed again—more familiar, more controlled. Leo raised several animals, slowly domesticating them for companionship, testing, and utility.

The system panel reflected his growth.

And others.

Then—

Another breakthrough.

This one was different.

Martial Arts – Stage 2

Innate Realm – Core Formation

Leo felt it immediately.

A dense center formed deep within him, cosmic energy compressing into a stable core. Every breath fed it. Every movement resonated through it.

His strength skyrocketed.

Estimated Physical Strength: ~10 Tons

Energy Density: ×10

Estimated Lifespan: 500 Years

Leo stood silently as the transformation settled.

"So that's it," he murmured. "The system doesn't give power—it raises potential. The rest depends on available energy and my own effort."

That realization grounded him.

With this level of strength, remaining hidden made less sense.

He looked down from the mountain ridge toward lands he had yet to explore.

"It's time," he said calmly. "Let's see what's out there."

He stepped forward, beginning his descent.

Not far away.

A shadow slipped between ancient trees, its presence subtle enough to avoid the senses of most creatures.

It paused.

Watching.

"…So this is where the disturbance originated," the figure whispered.

Its gaze settled in Leo's direction.

And for the first time since his transmigration—

Someone else had arrived in his world.
