Chapter 1 - introduction

Humble mortal, you who read these lines, know that the story about to be told is but one of the countless adventures I have lived. But first, let me introduce myself: God. Whatever image you have just formed of me, it is only a fraction of what I am. It is impossible to describe me in a complete and accurate way. But if one were to summarize, it would be: omnipotent and capable of omniscience, capable only, for life is not worth living if one knows everything. Life, for an intelligent species, is the pursuit of knowledge and evolution. And this is also my pastime: knowledge and the understanding of mortals through observation. I enjoy observing the countless worlds that came into being through me, though I rarely intervene. And sometimes, when I see a mortal who might have an interesting destiny, I incarnate myself within them at birth and live their life. At times, I even seal away my memories in order to experience the true life of that mortal.

And that is what will happen in this story. We shall follow the evolution of a young girl in a world where the law of the strongest prevails.

This world is a world of magic, populated by countless species, with dragons at their summit true scourges to those who draw their interest.

The intelligent races are many, but few have established themselves and claimed their own territories. These are called the Great Races: among them, Orcs, Elves, Spirits, Sirens, Humans, and of course, Dragons. There are also two gods who govern this world: Candra, goddess of the three moons, and Suryin, god of the two suns. The two gods are equal in power and form a whole, each possessing elements opposed to the other, and for this reason, they do not get along. At the dawn of this world, before their quarrels, the gods created a "system." This system resembles a database, providing information. Few can use it most of them priests in the service of the gods. Thus, the system is usable only by intelligent races who worship the gods. However, certain artifacts capable of reproducing the system do exist, though they are rare.

It is on the northern continent of Arewa that our protagonist was born. This continent is inhabited by three of the Great Races: Humans, Elves, and Orcs. The Orcs live in the northern mountains and in the eastern plains, where four human kingdoms fell before their brute strength. Humans were forced to retreat into the valleys at the center of the continent, thus forming seven kingdoms. The Elves, for their part, possess the immense forest stretching across the southeast of the continent. The west, meanwhile, is a land ruled by monsters, and despite the efforts of the three Great Races, it remains a region where death awaits anyone who dares to venture there.

Humans, the most numerous species, attempt to extend their supremacy across the entire planet, but humanity is greedy—to the point of stealing even from itself. As a result, countless kingdoms and principalities have emerged, annihilating their original goal of conquest.

The Elves, people of the woods, renowned for their grace and beauty, saw their population split in two following a curse: Elves and Dark Elves. This curse forces them to hate one another.

The Orcs, giants with green skin and prominent horns, are a warrior people where the strongest becomes chief. It is said that they descend from a mutated monster, granting them intelligence and cruelty.

My explanations may have seemed long and laborious, but they were a necessary evil for your proper understanding of the world that surrounds our young girl.
