Chapter 183 - I get it

"I remember who you are now."

Gojo Shinyan stood atop the Karasu Tengu, his arms crossed.

"You're the one who resurrected me, and another target you want to kill, right?"

"Resurrected?"

Kenmyo had initially thought Gojo Shinyan was a clan member harboring resentment against the Gojo Family, but he actually claimed to have been resurrected.

His hand, poised to form a mudra, paused.

The Karasu Tengu beneath Gojo Shinyan's feet was a type of Great Tengu.

Great Tengu have always played an important role in Japanese mythology; this race is believed to be a great yokai capable of causing war and chaos across the land.

Even the grudges of the royal families and nobles who died unjustly in Japanese history were thought to be incarnations of Great Tengu.

Speaking of which, this feels like it shares a common origin but different flow with the Kamo Family's ancestor, 'Sutoku Ten'ō,' one of Japan's Four Great Cursed Spirits.

Cursed Spirits feed on people's fear of certain concepts; the more people fear them, the stronger their Cursed Energy and rank become. It's easy to imagine how powerful a Cursed Spirit the fear of Tengu over thousands of years could create.

Gojo Shinyan nearly died at the hands of this terrifying Cursed Spirit. At a young age, his organs had deteriorated to the point where he was almost like an elderly person on the verge of critical illness. Ninety percent of the reason for this was the battle with the Karasu Tengu.

Because the Karasu Tengu was the pinnacle of all Cursed Spirits in Japan during Gojo Shinyan's era; after all, to reach that level of physique, it might have been the only one among all Cursed Spirits.

Gojo Shinyan, who returned from his studies, beat the Kamo Family, kicked the Zenin Family, and was unrivaled in his generation, still almost couldn't break the Karasu Tengu's defense.

That thing nearly killed him with its physical body alone. The Karasu Tengu was truly a terrifying existence that could easily cleave the ocean with a single swing, causing currents to break.

It was truly a walking natural disaster!

Gojo Shinyan's battle with the Karasu Tengu left the capital of Japan at the time and the three surrounding interconnected cities completely destroyed.

The aftermath of their battle directly led to 110,000 deaths and disappearances, rendering hundreds of thousands homeless.

In that era of backward productivity, such heavy casualties undoubtedly represented an extremely severe and immeasurable loss to society at the time.

Japan regressed forty years in all aspects at once. This event was recorded in Japanese history as the 'Manji Great Earthquake.'

The Karasu Tengu's strength in life was terrifying and far beyond imagination, which is why even after death, with only a skeleton remaining, it could still maintain such a high standard of power.

As Gojo Shinyan used another Cursed Technique to manipulate the Karasu Tengu, its entire body began to become active, and its stiff limbs slowly started to move.

It was as if a Cursed Spirit that had died hundreds of years ago was truly coming back to life, gradually returning from Yomi-no-Kuni to reality.

The power erupting from Kenmyo directly caused a large chunk of the pitch-black dirac sea to be eroded by the snow-white domain, further reducing its space.

The pure white Bodhisattva's Dharma appearance, seated on a white lotus with a compassionate face, became even more sacred. Each weapon held in its many hands on its back was different.

There were swords, forks, blades, halberds, Vajra Pestles, and more, all emitting sharp, cold glints without exception.

Kenmyo, with a solemn expression, suddenly opened his closed eyes. With both hands, he made the same gesture with his fingers, placing the inverted gesture in front of him.

"Sixty-sixth Form - Soul Reaping!"

Last time it was a crude, half-baked application, but this time it was formal, with a completely different level of precision from the perspective of the caster.

As Kenmyo manipulated the Domain Expansion, the supreme majesty emanating from the Dharma appearance grew even more vast and terrifying, and even the halo with mysterious runes began to rotate.

Immediately after, four straight pillars of light burst forth from the ground in the east, west, south, and north, encircling the still-forming Karasu Tengu.

Connecting the four pillars were eight thick, giant chains, all entwined with special black and white suppression runes.

The surfaces of these truck-sized runes were carved with spiritual energy, capable of powerfully suppressing the activity of Cursed Spirits.

Then, crimson lightning began to brew on each light pillar, and the air was filled with piercing thunder, like a thousand birds shrieking. The four streams of light, just forming and appearing above, generated such high temperatures and heat that they directly distorted the air.

The crimson, blood-like evil thunder dragons opened their mouths wide, charging straight at the Karasu Tengu like fierce dragons crossing a river, tightly wrapping around the Cursed Spirit's body.

Upon contact, the armor that had just grown back on the Karasu Tengu due to Gojo Shinyan's Cursed Technique immediately melted, revealing thick, fibrous muscles underneath.

But in the face of the corrosive properties, these things, composed entirely of Cursed Energy, couldn't last even a second, quickly corroding to the point where bones were directly visible.

"What's going on?!"

Gojo Shinyan had originally planned to rely on this Karasu Tengu to turn the tide, but he didn't expect that before he could even finish summoning it, the opponent would act so unfairly.

He had a bad premonition and directly leaped off the corpse.

Undoubtedly, this was a very wise choice for Gojo Shinyan. If he had been 0.5 seconds later, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Then, cracks appeared on the surface of the four thunder dragons wrapped around the Karasu Tengu, releasing their world-destroying power.

"Crack!"

Kenmyo formed a hand seal with one hand.

The terrifying power accumulated within the thunder dragons immediately produced a violent explosion amidst their roars!

In its place, a black and red cross shot up into the sky, its dazzling flames illuminating the dim domain.

The four pillars that Kenmyo had originally used to fix the Karasu Tengu also turned into dust in the terrifying explosion.

The burning, towering cross gave off an unimaginable sense of desolation.

The continuous shockwaves from the explosions stirred up giant waves in the dirac sea, which possessed immense mass.

For Suguru Geto, it was like witnessing a large nuclear bomb directly detonated on the surface of the Pacific Ocean.

It was incredibly shocking, a sight he felt he would never forget in his life.

The ocean surface vibrated, shooting up into the sky, and the resulting shockwave, without deceleration, directly entered Suguru Geto's body.

This caused Suguru Geto severe discomfort, an urge to vomit.

Due to the air's resonance, the shockwave at such close proximity directly shifted Suguru Geto's internal organs to the left.

Suguru Geto almost spat out a mouthful of blood just now, but fortunately, the explosion came and went quickly.

A wry smile, mixed with a deep sense of fear, appeared on his face.

"Can humans really cause an attack like that?"

Even if Suguru Geto summoned a thousand Cursed Spirits to simultaneously fire at a large city, he probably wouldn't achieve this effect, as that was already the realm of 'gods.'

A loud whistle came from Fushiguro Toji next to Suguru Geto. These two occupied the best seats, able to clearly see everything happening below.

Fushiguro Toji, on the other hand, had fewer mental burdens. He had just consumed a red potion, recovering 90% of his injuries, felt good, and was ready for another fight.

"Kid. Why are you thinking so much?"

The carefree Fushiguro Toji advised Suguru Geto not to set his sights on people he shouldn't. Otherwise, he would only look ridiculous, and his mission list would never be completed, leaving him to suffer in the end.

There are great differences between people. Some might have to jump to fly in the wind, while others can fly in the sky all the time.

However, more people are fools who can't even find the updraft and can only run on the ground.

"We just need to know that he's our ally."

For Fushiguro Toji, experiencing such a 'nuclear explosion' scene firsthand was incredibly stimulating, a first in his life.

In the face of the Cursed Energy explosion and this terrifying shockwave, even the dirac sea, with its infinite mass, could only cower, suppressed tightly by the shockwave, unable to stir up even a ripple.

This wasn't pure freezing, but rather a cannon attack using Cursed Energy as Ryu's energy supply, replacing the skull at her core.

That thing's origin was unknown and full of strangeness, but it was undeniably effective.

That skull was the ultimate reward Kenmyo obtained after defeating the strongest Boss in the Zhong Sheng Temple plane.

It was a true super backup battery, capable of alleviating any range anxiety.

Ryu, in her usual regular mode, couldn't consume much Cursed Energy from the skull; it was only when using her domain that it truly connected to an external power source.

Soul Reaping, for Cursed Spirits, was like a court judging their life's sins, having a very significant effect.

And for Kenmyo, killing Cursed Spirits was as simple as incinerating trash.

As the burning black-purple cross gradually dissipated, the tragic scene in the center of the arena slowly revealed itself to everyone.

A huge crater was blasted into Gojo Shinyan's dirac sea, entirely glowing with high-temperature orange-red, so the surrounding torrents containing large amounts of negative charges couldn't completely bury this crater.

Still burning, the giant vortex created after the explosion, even if a fully formed Karasu Tengu were placed inside, would feel no pressure.

And then, like a magnitude 9 earthquake, at the very bottom of the dirac sea, where Gojo Shinyan placed his beloved descendant, Gojo Satoru, his entire sealed coffin lay dormant.

Even with layers upon layers of the dirac sea, almost infinitely massive, offsetting it above, the shockwave, having undergone collapse and energy absorption, still rushed towards this spot intact.

Rumbling, the water surface below experienced a severe inversion, as if directly bearing the full force of Kenmyo's explosion.

Bubbles gurgled all around, and the Black Coffin suppressing Gojo Satoru also lost its original fixation under this terrifying shockwave.

"Where is this?"

"So cold, why is it so cold?"

Gojo Shinyan had originally wanted Gojo Satoru to watch his friends and his mission targets be killed due to Gojo Satoru's weakness.

But he never expected that Gojo Satoru's body, due to severe injuries, had actually entered a dormant state to preserve strength.

It wasn't until Kenmyo's explosion that Gojo Satoru was 'fish-bombed' awake.

So, the last thing Gojo Satoru saw before closing his eyes was Suguru Geto's angry face trying to save him.

But that scene was already quite stimulating for Gojo Satoru.

Because he had directly experienced the power of his ancestor, Gojo Shinyan.

Even his own Limitless could only bow down before Gojo Shinyan's Limitless.

"If it's Geto, he'll die!"

"No. I can't be trapped in this damn place…"

Gojo Satoru was severely injured. Due to excessive blood loss, prolonged compression, and penetrating wounds, nearly three-quarters of his body had lost sensation.

Like a broken old doll, Gojo Satoru, with even his shoulder blade pierced, was in unbearable pain, his breath weak.

But the more Gojo Satoru struggled, the more rampant the black substances, which acted as stakes driven into his flesh, became, pinning him firmly to the ground, making him unable to move at all.

Instead, it would only worsen Gojo Satoru's injuries. Excessive blood loss would make him more prone to shock and even trigger death.

Especially when Gojo Satoru's soul fire was already very weak, almost like a flickering candle in the wind.

A gentle gust would extinguish it.

The strongest of yesteryear was probably about to die in this unknown corner.

"Am I going to die?"

There is great terror between life and death.

Gojo Satoru, in the darkness, was consumed by infinite emptiness, infinite coldness, infinite fear of death, and regret over not being able to see his friends again, among countless other complex emotions that flooded his mind.

In his final moments, Gojo Satoru seemed to see his childhood self, wearing a blue kimono, a small Gojo Satoru, quietly looking at his future self, incredibly disheveled and on the verge of death, with those Azure Eyes.

"Hey, what are you still doing here?"

Gojo Satoru suddenly opened his eyes. His soul fire, which was almost extinguished, flared up into a raging inferno, as if a large amount of fuel had been poured into it.

The emotions between life and death transcended everything. Gojo Satoru, seeing the shadow of death for the first time, had a somewhat manic smile on his face.

"Is that so? So that's how it is."

"Shoko, I understand."

A crimson power erupted from Gojo Satoru, instantly!

Gojo Satoru laughed wildly.

"Hahahahaha, I finally know."

"What is Reverse Cursed Technique!"

Meanwhile, Gojo Shinyan, who was preparing to counterattack above, suddenly felt an unannounced tremor from the dirac sea beneath his feet.

"Hm?"

Suguru Geto saw that the depths of the originally pitch-black dirac sea had, for some unknown reason, lit up with a very vibrant blood-red, covering a considerable area.

"What's going on?"

"It's not me."

Kenmyo pondered for a moment before replying,

"It's Satoru!"
