Chapter 177 - Passage

The church erupted into noise because the teacher giving the lesson wrote down their contact information for Kenmyo and Gojo Satoru.

"Didn't I tell you not to come here?"

That's why Riko Amanai was able to be secretly ushered out by Kenmyo and Gojo Satoru, one on each side, taking advantage of the commotion caused by the crowd gathering.

Riko Amanai said angrily to Gojo Satoru,

"And you, you idiot, look at the mess you've made."

Riko Amanai's face flushed hot as she recalled her classmates calling her a "two-timer," even though she had never even dated anyone.

"My reputation is completely ruined!"

It was practically slandering her innocence out of thin air!

"Hahahaha, isn't this great?"

Gojo Satoru maintained his usual carefree attitude, saying with a grin,

"Getting Kenmyo and me to be the male leads in your scandal—that's a dream for so many people!"

Before Gojo Satoru could finish, he saw the look of disgust on Riko Amanai's face directed at him and immediately snapped.

"Hey, hey, hey, what kind of expression is that!"

He angrily said to Kenmyo,

"Kenmyo, look, she actually looks down on both of us!"

"No, I think she just looks down on you."

Kenmyo hadn't noticed Riko Amanai ever looking at him with disgust.

"Also, now is not the time to talk about this, idiot."

The three of them were currently rushing out of the school. Suguru Geto had just reported that he was safe; he originally had a minor fracture and a concussion, but after drinking a Healing Potion, he had already informed Miss Kuroi to arrange transportation.

The number of enemies was unknown. It was slightly strange that Kenmyo hadn't sensed many people, otherwise they would have been ambushed on the road.

From start to finish, it seemed only Suguru Geto had been injured, and no one else had come to bother them.

Furthermore, given Kenmyo's previous display of overwhelming deterrence, anyone who still dared to come after them must be extremely confident in their own strength.

If Kenmyo were alone, he might even be curious to see which individual possessed such audacity.

"We can't see the enemy right now, let's retreat first."

The enemy must have used some unknown method to completely conceal themselves. The Cursed Technique managed to fool even the Flesh Hounds patrolling hundreds of meters around Kenmyo, which meant they certainly had some skill.

Indeed, the Doctor has topped the Red List in various countries for so long; if their methods of self-concealment weren't effective, they wouldn't have survived until today—they would have been taken out long ago.

Never underestimate the world; among hundreds of millions of people, a few special ones are bound to appear.

Kenmyo also had to focus on protecting Riko Amanai, and since less trouble is better than more, getting her out quickly was the priority.

Damn it, what can we do if the enemy won't show their face?

Too cowardly.

However, it might also be that Suguru Geto's performance startled him; after all, he tried to pick the weakest of the three and hit a snag, losing contact with the five carefully raised Cursed Spirits immediately.

This indicated that the remaining two "kids" were not easy opponents either.

As long as Gojo Satoru and the others endure until noon today, all the bounties placed on Kenmyo and the rest will be canceled.

Whether the underground financiers would reissue the bounty with money was another matter entirely.

Kenmyo could figure out who was behind the bounty with his eyes closed.

Nine times out of ten, it was the Star Plasma Cult, hiding along with the entire church. After being dealt with by Kenmyo, those bastards disappeared without a trace, fearing retaliation from the Jujutsu Sorcerer Association.

As if they had vanished into thin air.

But it didn't matter; Kenmyo already knew how to lure these people out.

"I really look forward to seeing their expressions then."

But just as he finished speaking and they continued running toward the courtyard, Kenmyo sensitively detected an anomaly: a foul odor had begun to permeate the air sometime recently.

"Satoru, don't run any further."

But Gojo Satoru, along with Riko Amanai, had not noticed the abnormality ahead.

"Fly."

Kenmyo stopped the two who were running and told Gojo Satoru to use Limitless, because flying could avoid many unnecessary dangers.

Most Curse Users' Cursed Techniques are still ground-based, not aerial. Even traps can only be set on the ground, not in the sky.

It's quite strange that many Curse Users also engage in close combat.

Their methods of attack are too singular, and Cursed Techniques that allow flight are extremely rare.

"What about you?"

Although Satoru didn't know why Kenmyo said this, he trusted Kenmyo immensely and agreed without hesitation.

"I don't mind. You guys wait for me outside."

Kenmyo himself could fly even without using Ryu to transform into an ice dragon. The principle was simple: just create a gigantic, infinitely extending ice pillar beneath his feet.

If he wanted to, he might even fly faster than Gojo Satoru.

"You take Riko and go first."

Kenmyo wanted to resolve the attacking enemy right here. The enemy was finally unable to hold back and was about to come out, and hiding everywhere was not his style.

Rather than an arrow hidden in the dark, Kenmyo preferred a sword displayed openly in the light.

"I understand."

Gojo Satoru nodded in acknowledgment.

"Wait, he's staying down here."

Riko Amanai was a little reluctant, thinking they were going to leave Kenmyo behind.

"Alright, stop asking so many questions, we're going up."

Gojo Satoru simply patted Riko Amanai's shoulder, then grabbed her clothes. Riko Amanai, who had just been standing there, immediately floated up as if gravity had ceased to exist.

"Woah, ahhh."

The girl had never experienced the sensation of flying, so she was a little scared.

"Don't move around."

Gojo Satoru flew higher and higher with Riko Amanai. After reaching a safe altitude, he stopped ascending and flew toward the outside of the campus.

"Besides, Kenmyo is very strong."

"Shit!!!"

At the same time, the Doctor's eyes widened. He had prepared a huge number of traps ahead, but these two had simply skipped over them and flown into the sky.

The air ahead contained a mist concocted by the Doctor using herbs mixed with toxins. If a Jujutsu Sorcerer inhaled it, their Cursed Energy would become chaotic, preventing the use of Cursed Techniques, and accompanied by intense mental hallucinations, they would become easy prey.

The main selling point was that it was colorless and odorless.

Everything was ready, but the enemy didn't play by the rules.

"The cooked duck really flew away."

The Doctor's eyes were already bloodshot from practicing Cursed Techniques, looking almost man-eating, and now seeing tens of millions about to escape, they seemed ready to burst.

Glowing red!

Thinking this, the Doctor no longer cared about exposing his location. He shed the outer layer of his cloak—a gray, unknown animal fur that was actually the Special Grade Cursed Tool, the Death Spirit Hide.

Almost instantly, Kenmyo spotted the assassin hidden in the shadows. That guy actually achieved an effect similar to optical camouflage in movies, blending seamlessly with the surroundings.

"Hidden so well."

It was a small, inconspicuous old man holding a strange scepter and wrapped entirely in a black cloak, currently standing atop the bell tower near St. Maria Academy.

The Doctor raised the scepter in his hand, aiming at Gojo Satoru and Riko Amanai in the air.

"Fall."

Purple-black Cursed Energy instantly illuminated half the sky. The purple-black Cursed Energy, formed by the ravaging of mournful spirits at the tip of his scepter, erupted like a volcano!

[Spirit Descent Death Method - Flying Head Drop]!

It instantly split in the air into seven colossal, terrifying human heads, each about three meters in diameter. These heads looked exactly like real human heads, their faces filled with cruel malice. They opened their mouths wide, revealing sharp teeth, accompanied by eerie laughter.

The Flying Head Drop is one of the 12 Great Southeast Asian Head-Dropping Cursed Techniques. It originally allowed one's own head to fly out, freely biting and killing enemies, and was supposedly indestructible.

When incorporated into Jujutsu, it transforms into using Cursed Energy to construct heads to replace one's own. The Doctor, who is skilled in this Cursed Technique, can indeed achieve this, but the risk factor is too high.

Jujutsu Sorcerer wield far greater destructive power than ordinary people; perhaps his head wouldn't even be as hard as their fist.

"What is that!"

Riko Amanai felt her scalp crawl just by looking; the mouths of those things could probably swallow her whole in one bite.

It was too terrifying; she had goosebumps all over.

"This is a bit troublesome."

Gojo Satoru had to maintain his Cursed Technique while making sure Riko Amanai beside him didn't fall.

"Cursed Technique Forward Rotation"

Instead of the bone-chilling coldness of pure evil, what arrived first was an icy chill Gojo Satoru was immensely familiar with.

A gigantic ice pillar shot up from the ground, soaring into the sky even faster than those skull-headed monsters.

In just a few seconds, a figure blocked Gojo Satoru and Riko Amanai.

Just looking at that back felt incredibly reassuring, as if he could shield them from all the coming storms.

"I told you, just go."

It was Kenmyo; he had instantaneously traveled from the ground to a height of hundreds of meters.

The sharp blade was drawn, and with a flash of white light, Kenmyo leaped down from the ice pillar.

Facing the skull heads constantly rushing toward him, he slashed down fiercely. Kenmyo was extremely light in the air, as if he had wings.

The sharp blade cut through everything. Dozens of distinct white cut marks appeared on the skull-headed Cursed Spirits.

By the time he landed on the ground, these Cursed Technique attacks had completely disintegrated in the air, turning into large piles of black and purple dust fragments that continuously fell and then resulted in violent explosions.

"Leave the rest to me."

Kenmyo directed his gaze toward the real culprit still standing atop the distant tower.

The shockwave from the explosion shattered the ground and all the classroom windows, and shook the trees and flowers violently, demonstrating the immense destructive power unleashed.

The wind caused his hair to rustle loudly.

Distracted by Kenmyo, Gojo Satoru and Riko Amanai seized the opportunity and successfully flew away.

Ensuring Riko Amanai's safety was the most important thing right now.

"He did that purely with his physical body?"

The Doctor's eyes widened in disbelief, because the seven Cursed Spirits were all attacking from different directions; he had been aiming for saturation bombardment.

For a moment, he thought the Heavenly Restraints Tyrant was here?

"Old man. Retire and rest early, stop wandering around causing trouble..."

Kenmyo pointed his blade tip at the Doctor.

"This area is one-way traffic."

"Roar!!!"

Two Flesh Hounds had already crept up next to the old man. Their previous failure made these hounds cherish the opportunity to hunt this old piece of jerky even more.

The bell tower of St. Maria Academy was already quite large, but accommodating two ferocious and enormous beasts was still a stretch.

Especially since massive monsters seemed to be churning beneath the Doctor's feet, shattering the tiles. Two enormous beasts, each over ten meters in diameter, burst out from the ground and the side, respectively.

The Doctor, being so close, seemed to even catch the light reflecting off the monsters' teeth. It was clear how close the two were.

The Doctor raised the scepter in his hand and slammed it directly into the face of the Flesh Hound, the top of the staff encased in purple and ominous Cursed Energy.

If even a trace contaminated a target, even an elephant would be reduced to bones instantly.

However, Flesh Hounds are mostly immune to Cursed Energy attacks. So, when the Doctor saw his constructed defense easily bypassed and the beasts instantly arrive before him,

the old man felt his heart skip a beat.

Because he feared that in the next second, half of his body would be swallowed by the two Flesh Hounds.

With a crash, the bell tower, acting as the platform, immediately collapsed under the terrifying biting force.

Kenmyo thought the matter was resolved, but suddenly, a subtle feeling, difficult to describe in words, appeared in his mind.

It was trying to make him naturally forget something.

In the ruins, facing such troublesome monsters, the Doctor immediately pulled out his trump card.

The sirens lament.

"Hahaha!"

The blood-soaked Doctor let out a long sigh of relief upon hearing the crisp, pleasant sound near his ear. This item had two methods of use: instant activation and delayed activation.

The instantly activated Music Box sound was effective against humans, Cursed Spirits, and ordinary creatures alike. As long as he controlled them for one second, he could drag them into it.

Delayed activation required a sacrifice; the more sacrificed, the larger the Music Box became, capable of covering an entire city. At that point, when the sirens lament was used, it transformed into an Anti-City Cursed Tool.

The Flesh Hounds vanished from the scene, affected by the sirens lament.

This conceptual-like effect directly washed over Kenmyo's brain.

Memories concerning the Flesh Hounds seemed to be forcibly stripped away from Kenmyo under the influence of some power.

Not only did the Psychic Energy within Kenmyo automatically begin to resist this attack, but this compulsory anomaly even drew the attention of the warhammer simulator inside him.

At the same time, before the Doctor could celebrate, a clear crack appeared on the Music Box in his hand.

"Huh?"

His laughter came to an abrupt halt.

Kenmyo instantly realized what kind of special Cursed Tool effect was capable of influencing him personally.

Immediately taking advantage of the moment the opponent froze, he instantly vanished from the spot.

When he reappeared, he was already 100 meters behind the Doctor.

The shield the old man hastily constructed lasted less than a second, instantly pierced by the Psychic Energy blade.

Kenmyo's blade sliced the old man in half at the waist; the upper and lower halves were completely separated by the smooth cut.

Blood stained the sky.
