Chapter 55 - Scarab Terminator

"All is dust. All is dust, all is dust, all is dust."

Imagine dozens of fully armed Rubric Warriors stumbling together around their Sorcerer Master, their low battle cries and heavy footsteps sounding like the drums of death.

The armor, protected by Psychic Power, was indestructible in battle, immune to enemy artillery attacks.

The Composite Bolters in the hands of the Rubric Warriors, combined with Psychic Power, fired deadly attacks in all directions amidst twisting flames.

These large blue cans were the most despair-inducing enemies on the battlefield.

The heavy armor, originating from The Imperium, had long been transformed beyond recognition by Chaos Power, and was covered in forbidden runes.

The appearance of the Rubric Warriors was derived from ancient Egyptian culture and mummy artifacts, featuring yellow and blue stripes resembling Tutankhamun's golden mask, bird decorations, and hieroglyph-like runes. Paired with the originally less detailed Space Marine Power Armor, it created a unique artistic impact.

Especially when Kenmyo Isayama obtained this Rubric Warrior, he became the best among them.

The "scarab terminator" were those once known as Sekhmet and Magnus' Veterans. They were veteran Battle-Brothers of the Thousand Sons Legion, and also served as the Honor Guard for the Primarch Magnus.

The Scarab was also one of the few elite units whose infantry could directly contend with The Emperor's Custodes.

After being corrupted by Chaos Power, these warriors donned a variant of the ancient Underworld-type Terminators, a more formidable Power Armor covered in blasphemous inscriptions.

Each suit was a precious relic of the Legion.

With the fluctuation of its own Psychic Power, it could not only deflect solid projectiles fired by the enemy but also divert so-called high-tech beam weapons.

[Rubric Warrior - "scarab terminator"]

Origin: Wizard World (High-level World, territory of the Chaos God)

Type: Psychic Warrior - Living War Armor

Durability: 1290/189000 (This durability is irreversible)

Equipment Requirement: Rubric Binding

Data: Lost

Rating: When fate becomes a shackle, all is dust. You think this is the curse of the Rubric, but it is actually the manipulation of the Evil God; the poor exiled people spend their entire lives atoning.

Uncle Lan, whom Kenmyo Isayama spoke of, was not just a tool to help him with chores.

Although the extreme damage to its durability caused its power to drop across dimensional levels, this did not prevent the "scarab terminator" from being the biggest trump card Kenmyo Isayama currently held!

It allowed him to gain the power to fight high-level Cursed Spirits above his own rank. Actual combat was the best way to test fighting strength, and constantly worrying about experimental progress would only cause hair loss.

So, Kenmyo Isayama went out.

Late at night in an abandoned industrial park in North Ikebukuro, an extremely evil fluctuation of Cursed Energy distorted even the moonlight that should have been shining on the earth.

A dark, black Cyclops, about ten meters tall and covered in pustules, stood wandering among the rusty old pipes of the chemical park. It seemed to be searching for something.

The scarlet eyeball in the middle of its huge head kept rolling around in four directions.

The wounds all over its body secreted terrifying dark green pus that dripped onto the ground. The asphalt pavement could not withstand the corrosion, making "hissing" sounds and forming pits of varying depths.

"Roar!!!"

Suddenly, the Cyclops moved, raising its hands high above its head and smashing them heavily onto an abandoned oil storage tank. The overwhelming force immediately punched a large hole through the hard steel.

The dilapidated steel structure let out a loud wail as it was completely twisted and deformed, and the sky-high smoke and dust completely submerged the massive Cyclops.

However, judging from the Cursed Spirit's reaction, it must have completely missed, otherwise it wouldn't be so furious, starting to indiscriminately attack the abandoned chemical equipment.

Instantly, highly concentrated yellow-green Cursed Energy gathered from the Cyclops's mouth, and was then completely released in one breath.

"Rumble"

A destructive corrosive beam erupted from the Cyclops at extreme speed. The straight beam continuously swept across the abandoned park as its body rotated, and every beam caused a massive explosion.

The Cursed Spirit's logic was quite simple: remove all these obstructive things, and the little mouse it was looking for would naturally appear.

The continuous explosions caused the entire park to be filled with raging fire, with fires erupting everywhere due to the Cyclops's Cursed Energy Cannon.

Furthermore, due to the unique nature of the Cursed Spirit's Cursed Energy, the fiercely burning yellow-green flames produced white smoke that was highly toxic and extremely corrosive.

"To be able to cause this kind of attack power, it must be a high-level Cursed Spirit, probably around Grade 1."

Kenmyo Isayama sat on the top of the towering smokestack, the high-altitude airflow blowing his hair. He sat right on the edge of the chimney, his legs dangling freely in the air.

The sight made people sweat for Kenmyo Isayama, as he had no protective measures whatsoever.

Whether in front or behind him, there was a drop of nearly a hundred meters to the ground; falling down meant instant death.

Kenmyo Isayama looked down with interest at the tall Cyclops below, engulfed in pale yellow flames, and slowly spoke while stroking his chin.

"Otherwise, using the durability in a place like this would be a waste."

The "little mouse" the furious Cyclops below was looking for was Kenmyo Isayama.

Since he lacked a method to determine the Cursed Spirit's grade, he could only harass it for a while to provoke it, seeing what kind of destructive power the Cursed Spirit could unleash in its powerless rage, in order to get a preliminary idea of its grade.

"A quick battle and a quick resolution."

When he saw the piercing sirens of fire trucks sounding in the distance, knowing they might arrive soon.

Kenmyo Isayama disliked involving unrelated people, so he did not continue to drag things out.

Kenmyo Isayama drank the last bit of beer from the can, and then, replacing it, refilled the can with concentrated Psychic Power.

He raised the can above his head in a throwing gesture, and then accurately threw it directly onto the head of the looking-around Cyclops.

"Where the hell are you looking, big guy!"

Following a brilliant white flash, a violent explosion occurred on the Cursed Spirit's bald head.

"I'm right here."

The smoke caused by Kenmyo Isayama's Psychic Explosion lasted less than a second. Just then, amidst an angry roar that shook the sky, a straight yellow-green beam completely pierced the smoke and fiercely struck the chimney where he was located.

Sensing the destructive power almost within reach, and the feeling of weightlessness brought about by the entire chimney being shattered.

The unprecedented sense of thrill and danger, under this dual stimulation, caused Kenmyo Isayama's lips to curve into an unstoppable smile.

"This is exactly how it should be!"

Kenmyo Isayama did not wait for the spire to collapse; instead, he spread his arms and leaped directly off the towering chimney.

Watching the ground rapidly approaching and the surrounding shattered stones, Kenmyo Isayama slowly uttered four specific syllables.

"All is dust!"

Instantly, a rectangular, pale blue light screen, with a flashing Rubric symbol in the center, appeared in the void before the rapidly descending Kenmyo Isayama.

He reached out and touched the light screen. Behind the screen, as if in another space, the phantom of the Underworld Terminator War Armor appeared.

Penetrating the light screen, a massive, sapphire-blue, metallic armor faintly appeared on Kenmyo Isayama's body, engraved with sharp blue and gold lines, claw decorations, and various forbidden runes resembling hieroglyphs.

After passing through the light screen, Kenmyo Isayama had fully donned this final relic of the Thousand Sons Legion, merged with it, and completely transformed into the terrifying Rubric Warrior that struck fear into the hearts of enemies on the battlefield.

Kenmyo Isayama, whose eyes were glowing red, adjusted his posture in mid-air. He gripped the Scythe that suddenly appeared in his hand and charged directly towards the Cyclops's location.

He fiercely slashed down!

"Die!"

This was another use for the [Rubric Warrior - "Scarab Terminator"].
