Chapter 1 - Forever your's my love , Part- 1

In Writing Nadia Islam

7 years now, the eldest son of the Khan family Sajjadul_Khan_Abir is coming back home. It would be wrong to say that he is returning home. Abir is coming back to his motherland from abroad. In these 7 years, a lot of things happened in the khan family, with which Abir is not physically involved, but spiritually, he is involved in every event.

Abir's father has a total of three brothers. Among the brothers, Abir's father is the elder and his name is Ali Ahmed Khan. The second brother, whose name is Mozammel Khan, is Tanveer's father, and the youngest brother's name is Iqbal Khan.

Abir is the only son of his parents. The middle uncle has a son and a daughter. His son's name is Tanveer Khan, and his daughter's name is Mahdiba Khan Megha. The youngest uncle also has a daughter and a son. Their names are Mim and Adi, respectively.

To date, they remain considered the most outstanding of all the joint families in that area. It is as if all the people in the house were connected by a single thread.

In a family consisting of five children, Abir is like an apple for everyone's eyes. After Abir was born, his parents never thought of bearing another child. Abir stayed at home until his high school certificate exam; he was loved by everyone at home. The Khan house was always colorful and lively because of Abir's nature. But immediately after that, the scene totally changed. At 18 years old, Abir suddenly went abroad to study with a scholarship; he not only physically moved further and further away from his family but also emotionally distanced himself from them.

The difference between the Abir of seven years ago and the one today is worlds apart. If one looks at him now, he is almost unrecognizable. Standing six feet tall with a dusky complexion, fully grown beard, and a hairstyle nothing less than that of a movie star-his fashion sense is good enough to make any girl fall in love at first sight.

These sensational moments have now become just entries in a diary of memories for him. He had left his mother behind in his early youth days when he was just 18 years old. At that point of time in his life, he felt that his mother was his only true friend. Today, he is a 24-year-old young man. In all these years, not a single day has passed without his talking to his mother over the telephone. Also, he has tried his best to remain in touch with all others at home too. Being engrossed in his childhood days, Abir finally reaches his home land.

Abir's father, Ali Ahmed Khan, and Tanveer were waiting at the airport. She is his cousin and two years younger than him. But Abir and Tanveer are best friends and soul brothers. As soon as Abir landed at the airport, his cousin Tanveer hugged him tightly. In the past seven years, Abir had not returned home even once. But Abir and Tanveer were in constant touch with each other.

Abir greeted his father with a salam and hugged his father tight. Then, the three of them went home. A festive mood seemed to have pervaded the whole home—and understandably so. In fact, the reason why the eldest son of that particular family was going home after so many years should suffice in explaining this.

His mother and aunts were busy cooking a variety of delectable dishes in the kitchen. As soon as Abir arrived at the door, all sensed excitement. Abir's mother rushed over to Abir and pulled him into a hug. Overwhelmed with emotion, Abir hugged his mother tight.

It was 7 years that Abir did not get the touch of his affectionate mother; today, after so many years, he finally had her in his arms. He respectfully greeted his mother and aunts. Everybody became busy seating him on the sofa and serving him sherbet and snacks one after another.

In the meantime, Meem and Adi came in. Meem is 14 years old, and her younger brother Adi is only 10. Adi is the youngest of them all. When Abir left the country, Adi was just 3 years old. He knew his brother to an extent from seeing him via webcam. Adi ran up and hugged his brother tightly, and Abir hugged him back. Meem also sat down beside Abir, and everybody joined together for a pleasant chat.

Adi asked, "Brother, what did you bring for me?"

At that moment, before getting up, his mother and aunts didn't allow him. "Drink the juice first, then get up."

Abir looked at Tanvir and said, "Hey, bring that luggage over here."

At the moment when Tanvir was about to touch one of their suitcases, Abir suddenly stood up from his seat and shouted, "Don't touch that one!"

Everybody in the house was dumbfounded, including Tanvir. Abir again spoke with a cool head, "Bring that luggage beside you." Following his words, Tanvir brought the luggage. As they opened it and started taking things out, everybody started asking, "Whose is this?" or "Whose is that?" Abir answered them, sipping his juice.

There were expensive foreign toys for Adi, dresses, and a cosmetics box for Meem, and many gifts for his mother and aunts. For Tanvir, there was a mobile phone, a laptop, and other gifts. Another separate different laptop was also there. Meem asked, "Brother, is this laptop yours?

Abir replied, "No, this is for Megh." Megh's mother, Halima Khan, asked, "Does Megh really need a laptop, son?" Abir said, "Her HSC exams are over. She has admission tests coming up. There's a lot she needs to learn and study. It will be much more convenient to study on a laptop than on a mobile phone, so I brought it." Meem pouted, "You should have brought one for me too.!!"

Abir quickly replies with an effortless smile, "I'll buy one for you too when you turn 18! Don't worry!"

"Thank you, Brother!" Overjoyed, Mim says

Upon hearing all this noise in the house, the younger uncle, Iqbal Khan, comes out of the room. Immediately, as soon as Abir catches a glimpse of his uncle, he proceeds to give his greetings (Salam), but is stopped by the uncle and pulled into a hug.

Iqbal Khan looked around at all the people and said softly, "At last, I think our house is complete today."

Abir himself delivered his gift, which he had brought for Iqbal Khan, to his uncle. One by one, Abir delivered the remaining gifts to everyone else. Since his middle uncle, Mozammel Khan, was not at home, Abir kept the gift that he had brought for his uncle separately.

The remaining items in the luggage were a box wrapped in gift paper and a shopping bag. Adi asked, "Brother, who is that for?"

When he placed the box and the shopping bag beside his laptop, Abir said, "Give this to Megh. I'm going to my room."

Iqbal Khan surveyed everyone with a curious expression and said, "Where is Megh?"

"He has gone to coaching; he should have been back by now," said Halima Khan.

Abir was about to proceed up with the remaining two suitcases when suddenly he turned back and asked his mother, "Which room will I be staying in?"

His mother, Maliha Khan, appeared momentarily stunned by the question, but quickly recovering, replied, "Your room is still yours. It was cleaned just this morning."

As Abir began walking upstairs with the two suitcases, saying nothing, Tanvir stepped forward. "Give them to me, I will carry them," Tanvir said. One of the suitcases was handed over to Tanvir, and Abir himself carried the other suitcase upstairs.

Just then, the eldest daughter of the house, Mahdiba Khan Megh, appeared at the door. Seeing Megh, Mim ran up to her and announced, "Sister! Sister! Abir brother is here!"

Megh gazed in the direction of the stairs. A tall, healthy, handsome man was walking upstairs with a suitcase. He had his back turned towards them. Megh entered the room, and upon seeing everyone had gifts in their hands, looked around curiously.

Abir, meanwhile, had already gone to his room.

Megh's mother, Halima Khan, approaches her daughter and speaks, "He brought a gift for you too."

Curiously, Megh looks up and says, "What gift?"

Her eyes fall on a laptop placed on the sofa. She immediately goes to the laptop. "Is this mine?"

Meem replies, "Yes, sister, it's yours. The box and the shopping bag are yours too."

Megh turns the laptop over and over as if she just stumbled upon something beyond her wildest dreams. Finally, she looks inside the shopping bag and determines that there appear to be two dresses inside. She gathers her laptop and her boxes and heads towards her room.
