Jinwoo has always hated hospital.The smell of antiseptic ,the cold white walls ,the way doctors spoke in careful tones assuring him that everything was going to be okay knowing very well that it was all a lie.it all reminded him that his body was betraying him .
Still he smiled everyday to keep appearance in front of his loved one.
Han Minjae.
They have been together for three years but to them it felt like years of being together.Minjae was not an heir of a powerful family nor did he come from influence ,on the other hand Jinwoo was the opposite of Minjae.He was the heir of a powerful family conglomerate-something Minjae tried so hard to ignore.
Though their relationship was good that students in the campus envied them jinwoo still had secrets that he was not able to bring himself to tell Minjae.
His illness.
Jinwoo's illness had started subtly.Fatigue.Sudden pain.Faint,dizziness.When doctors confirmed it ,they suggested to go to china for better medication.they said"It's a rare condition and it requires a specialist who is in China,that way he can receive better treatment."At that time Jinwoo couldn't make up his mind and requested for more time.He decided to make a decision that could hunt hin his whole life.
He would hide his illness from Minjae.
He could not bear the thought of Minjae worrying ,of watching fear bloom in the eyes that looked at him with so much love."i'll get treatment in the name of visiting my relatives then come back healthy."Jinwoo told himself.
As Jinwoo and Minjae were having their lunch at the cafeteria,Jinwoo suddenly felt dizzy,he made an excuse and left to the washroom.He looked at the mirror and saw his comlexion turning pale,he knew time was running out and he had to act fast.From the mirror he could see blood dripping from his nose . Seo Jun,his rival in love with Minjae,came in clapping his hands .Jinwoo saw him from the mirror and cleaned the blood first."What the hell are you doing here."Seo Jun smirked"Oh dear cousin,seems that your illness is getting worse and worse,i wonder if Minjae knows about this." "Don't you dare tell Minjae about this..."Jinwoo started coughing blood."you should not force your body ,it wouldn't be good for you." jinwoo bit his lip.He knew this could not go on like this.He left the washroom and went back to his sit like nothing happened.
Later Jinwoo went to visit his parents.he didn't know that he would regret this later on.They were having a nice time when Jinwoo started nose bleeding heavily.This had never happened before.Blood could not stop flowing out.Jinwoo became anxious.He beame dizzy.everything in the room started spinning around.he fell down and all he could see was his parents shaking him to wake up and making a call."Minj...Minja..."He lost consciousness,
Jinwoo faintly opened his eyes.The room was white.Just like how he hated since it reminded him of the hospital.He tried looking around but everything was hazy.He then overheard a doctor talking to his parents."We need to move first with no delay or your son is ganna die"the doctor said.his parents held each other tightly,they had no choice but to make an immediate effect for the sake of their son."Wait Minj..."Jinwoo said faintly but the doctor restricted him from speaking and gave him a sedative medicine to sleep.It was already too late The flight took off before he could say his goodbye to Minjae.Before he could tell him the reason for leaving.
Seo Jun knew the truth from Minjae and knew right there that the only way to have Minjae all to himself was to hide the truth and lie to him.When Minjae could not find Jinwoo anywhere,even at their place, he went to find Seo Jun.Seo Jun filled him with lies that Minjae found it hard to believe but he told him to wait and see. Seo jun knew Jinwoo wasn't coming any soon.He overheard his parents talking to Jinwoo's parents about the surgery and that it would take at most 3 years until he was fully recovered.
Minjae believed that Jinwoo would never betray him,he held onto that hope that he had on him that he would never betray him.
He waited.
Seo Jun enjoyed behind the scene,but stayed beside Minjae as his last option.
He knew that Minjae would eventually lean on him when he loses hope.
