Chapter 12 - Chapter 10: The Predator’s Plan (V)

**Paras City – Ruined Central Square, Night's Heart**

The battlefield was no longer a place—it was a wound in the world.

Smoke rose in thick black pillars, blotting out the moon. Fires still burned in pockets, hungry and low, feeding on what remained of cars, streetlights, and dreams. The ground was cracked and cratered, littered with shattered glass and twisted metal. The air tasted of ash and blood.

Yuki stood at the center—black shadow scythe held loosely in one hand, the curved blade trailing wisps of dark flame. Her blindfold was gone. Golden eyes glowed softly, reflecting the dying fires like twin lanterns in the night. Her breathing was steady, but sweat glistened on her skin. Every muscle trembled—not from exhaustion, but from the barely-leashed storm inside her.

"Okay…" she said, voice low and calm, cutting through the silence like a blade. "Let's bring it on."

She rushed.

Uren reacted instantly—red flaming orb coalescing in his remaining hand. He hurled it forward with a snarl.

The orb struck the ground.

**BOOOOOOM.**

Reality screamed.

The explosion erased everything in a perfect sphere—buildings vaporized to ash, roads melted into glowing slag, cars reduced to puddles of molten steel. Temperatures spiked to 1000°C in a heartbeat—air shimmering, sky deepening to blood-red. The heat wave rolled outward, igniting trees, scorching lungs, cracking stone for blocks.

Sai—still in water-wolf form—roared in panic.

"Yuki, NO!"

His body shimmered—fur dissolving into mist, shrinking back to human shape. He began to rush forward—sword already drawn.

But then—

Yuki stood behind Uren.

Smiling. Confident. Scythe resting lightly on her shoulder like it weighed nothing.

Uren froze—mid-breath.

"How… did you teleport that fast!?"

Yuki tilted her head—smile widening just a fraction, golden eyes glinting.

"I'm faster than your thoughts."

She moved—elbow slamming into the back of his neck with bone-crunching force.

Uren staggered—eyes wide.

Yuki gripped the scythe tighter—voice soft, deadly.

"Eat this."

She swung—twice.

Two burning shadow slashes erupted—black flames trailing like comets, cutting through the night.

They passed through Uren.

Not flesh.

Soul.

He screamed—voice raw, inhuman, echoing in ways that made the air shiver. Black blood—thick, tar-like—spilled from wounds that weren't physical, staining the cracked ground.

Uren fell to one knee—shocked, disbelieving.

"What… are you…?"

Yuki's golden eyes narrowed.

"I'm the one who protects what's mine."

Uren roared—rushing forward.

"I will end you right now!"

He teleported skyward—flaming blasts raining down like meteors.

The blasts spread—burning everything they touched, turning streets into rivers of fire.

Yuki jumped—dodging with impossible grace—scythe flashing.

She hurled it upward.

The blade struck Uren's wiggling tail—pinning it mid-air.

Uren screamed—falling.

Yuki landed lightly.

"I'm not holding back now."

**Battlefield Edge – Same Time**

Blu rose slowly from rubble—gi torn, blue skin bruised and scorched, but eyes still glowing fierce.

He barked at the remaining guards.

"Get the city empty. Now."

Guards scattered—running, shouting, pulling survivors to safety.

Yuki glanced back at Honokage—towering shadow behind her.

"Hono-kun… hold him."

Honokage nodded.

Massive red palms erupted—slamming down on Uren like thunder.

They clamped tight—crushing him like a mosquito in a fist.

Yuki raised one finger slowly—voice calm, lethal.

"Take this."

A black shadow beam launched skyward—thin, precise, unstoppable.

Honokage released the palms at the perfect moment.

The beam struck Uren's heart directly.

Uren screamed—voice cracking, breaking.

"Stop this!! Stop the trauma right nowwww!! I can't!! I can't take anymore!!"

Yuki didn't listen.

She teleported—kicked him downward.

Uren crashed through the metro—tracks buckling, sparks flying.

Yuki followed—teleporting in front, fists blurring.

Punch after punch—each one shaking the earth.

"You're begging now… after destroying everyone?" Her voice was cold, trembling with suppressed rage. "How pathetic."

She landed a final kick.

Uren flew skyward—limbs limp.

Yuki's aura rose—dark black, shadow burning.

"Hunter's Claw."

Honokage's massive claw slammed down—crushing Uren mid-air.

Uren crashed through a building—office windows exploding, papers and glass raining.

Yuki teleported in front—slamming him through the entire structure.

The building detonated—collapsing in a thunderous roar.

Yuki floated above the wreckage—scythe in hand.

"Hono-kun!"

Honokage roared—demonic voice shaking the night.

"Yes!?"

"Finish this!"

Black shadow portals opened.

More claws erupted—slamming Uren one by one—deadly, relentless.

Yuki struck—scythe slashing at his waist.

Uren barely dodged—kicked in the face.

Bone cracked.

Uren's eyes widened—inner voice breaking.

*No way… I really lost!? This can't be!*

He shouted—voice raw.

"I'm not letting this go!"

His red flames rose—sky burning brighter.

He powered up—forming a massive red sun-like bomb in his remaining hand.

"Eat this!"

He hurled it.

Yuki smiled—soft, dangerous.

"Hono! Right now!"

Honokage opened his wide mouth—swallowing the orb whole.

It detonated inside him.

Honokage's black eyes glowed—then stabilized.

A massive counter—

Smoke poured from his mouth.

A black shadow beam erupted—striking Uren dead-center.

Uren screamed—voice breaking.

"No! This can't beee!"

The beam consumed him—body vanishing inside the darkness.

Yuki stood on air—smiling faintly.

Then her knees buckled.

She had pushed too far.

The blindfold fell from her grasp.

Power surged—uncontrolled.

She fell.

Astra—running from the dojo—caught her.

Barely.

He staggered under her weight—small arms trembling.

"Get away! Get away!"

Sai—now human—appeared—lifting her off Astra.

Yuki slept—snoring softly, exhausted.

Blu rose from dust—bruised, furious.

"My beautiful Paras City… what happened to this!?"

He looked around—destruction everywhere.

"Who is gonna pay for thissss!!!"

Sai chuckled—tired, relieved.

"Okay… chill now. The threat is gone."

He gripped his sword tighter.

"Just… for now."
