Chapter Title: Solar Body

-----------------------------------------------------------------

5 years old.

ء

The age when I awakened my senses and became a superhuman.

Considering that superhumans from prestigious families typically awakened around 13 on average, or at the earliest after 10, this was incredibly fast.

Being able to accumulate mana at least five years ahead of other superhumans would greatly help close the gap between male and female superhumans.

Thinking that I'd taken the most crucial first step toward surviving in the Reversal Hero Saga world filled me with such a boiling sense of accomplishment that all the fatigue in my body vanished.

No, this wasn't just a feeling. It was the effect of awakening.

From the moment I opened my eyes to the new sense of detecting mana, my body had fundamentally changed in every functional way.

Even now, I probably couldn't beat an average adult man in arm wrestling, but I could at least force a stalemate.

That was the effect of awakening—the transcendent realm granted to those who gained superhuman qualifications.

Of course, holding your own against an adult man in arm wrestling didn't mean I had surpassed human limits yet.

Right now, I'd only gained the qualification to become a superhuman through my senses. I wasn't actually one yet.

A superhuman is someone who can wield mana, and I still couldn't do that.

So, as a veteran of Reversal Hero Saga, I began the first preparation for handling mana—something I knew all too well.

"Suuuuuup."

I closed my eyes and took another deep, very deep breath.

This wasn't breathing for meditation. It was to draw mana from the air into my body.

With my senses awakened, I could feel the mana mixed in the air entering through my nose, flowing down my windpipe, and successfully reaching my lungs.

I could even feel how minuscule the amount was.

But the quantity didn't matter.

What I was trying to do now only required the existence of mana, not its amount.

"Hnnngh."

I inhaled to the limit, then held my breath.

At the same time, I visualized a perfect, flawless sphere in my mind.

Then I overlaid one specific image onto that sphere.

The image of a heavenly body—one that maintained its form through universal gravitation, drawing in and devouring lighter objects toward itself.

I projected that celestial image onto my heart.

Yes, turning my heart into a heavenly body with powerful gravitational pull.

Logically impossible, of course. But mana responds to will, manifesting it in reality—and right now, my chest was filled with mana drawn from the air.

So it was only natural for the mana inside me to gather toward my heart, following my will.

"Guh?!"

The mana heading toward my heart was so tiny—even all gathered, it wouldn't fill a pinky nail—but that alone felt like a bomb exploding inside me.

It hurt so badly I wanted to scream, but opening my mouth would scatter the hard-earned mana, forcing me to repeat this agony.

Crunch!

Better to grit my teeth and endure until every bit of mana gathered in my heart. One and done.

I clenched my jaw against the shock and pain, holding out until it was finished.

"Phaaaat!"

What felt like an hour passed in one minute. Sensing all the mana from my breath had gathered in my heart, I finally exhaled.

"Haa... haa..."

Sweat poured down, my breaths ragged, but the mana stayed firmly in my heart.

With this, the vessel for mana—the mana core—was complete.

"Hahat."

It was the tiniest, the most fragile, infinitesimal mana core core imaginable, but I'd made it younger than any superhuman ever.

Now I was truly a superhuman.

This tiny core would grow in size and weight over time, eventually rivaling even female superhumans.

And with my past life's knowledge added? Reaching heights beyond anyone wouldn't be a dream.

"Whehehet!"

Reincarnating into this female-superior world was some insane bad luck, but for a Reversal Hero Saga veteran like me, it was just a challenging handicap.

But that handicap ended here.

From now on, at age 5 with a mana core formed, even just breathing to absorb ambient mana counted as training—path to strength.

And if I occasionally practiced wielding it to boost my mana sensitivity? By academy enrollment, top of the class was guaranteed—skipping grades possible too.

"Just imagining it feels amazing."

The game's key characters looking at me with eyes of respect, living up to that expectation.

Feeling good about that life, I chuckled "whehehet!" again when—ding!—a translucent blue window appeared before my eyes.

⚙ SYSTEM NOTIFICATION ⚙ Due to the user's awakening, the reincarnation perk 'Status Window' is now unlocked.

"Huh? Status... Window...?"

The translucent blue window matched the system window from Reversal Hero Saga perfectly. I uttered the word that caught my eye most.

Bzzz-!

As if responding to my words, the small window—big enough for one line—expanded instantly to A4 size, white text scrolling across it.

⚔ STATUS ⚔ 📛 Name: Yang Woo-bin ⚥ Gender: Male 🎂 Age: 5 ✨ Trait: Solar Body (EX) 🔮 Mana Sensitivity: F- 💧 Mana Total: 3 🎁 Reincarnation Perk: Status Window (EX) ! Reincarnator perk: Special ability 'Status Window' available. Touch target and mentally chant activation phrase to view their status window. Activation phrase: 'Status Window Check'.

"What."

The status window filling my vision was exactly like in the game.

It was the player's standard ability there—used so casually. But now, in this real Reversal Hero Saga, it was utterly broken.

Viewing a target's full info with a simple 'Status Window Check.' Insane.

Yet despite unlocking it right after forming my mana core, I couldn't be happy.

"So... lar... So, Solar Body...?"

It was because of that 'Solar Body (EX)' boldly listed under Traits.

◇◇◇◆◇◇◇

Solar Body.

One of the few EX-grade traits in Reversal Hero Saga—so immeasurably powerful it was considered beyond grading, like stars in the sky.

It belonged to the 'Special Monster – Cataclysm' summoned by the 'The Witch of Catastrophe'—one of the four Wailing Walls—in her final death throes at 0 HP in the story's endgame.

This 'Cataclysm' monster was why the The Witch of Catastrophe even reached Wailing Wall status. Its Solar Body trait was notoriously tricky to handle.

Why couldn't I be thrilled to have such an amazing trait?

Just hear its effects, and you'll understand.

For an EX-grade, the effects were surprisingly simple. Three in total:

1. Mana efficiency dramatically increases.

2. Mana sensitivity dramatically increases.

3. Mana becomes highly flammable.

That's it.

1 and 2 alone make it a ridiculously overpowered trait, but 3 turns it into a nightmare for the user.

In short: turns you into a walking napalm bomb.

That was Solar Body.

"How is this even possible bad luck..."

One slip, and my whole body ignites, devastating everything around—a suicide trait. No way to celebrate.

Born into this crazy female-superior world was bad enough, but this Solar Body? An absurd stroke of misfortune.

Even me—the only one to clear 'Truth' difficulty—went blank for a second.

"...Hoo."

But that blank moment passed. My mind quickly overcame the despair, seeking a way to conquer this absurdity.

And soon, I found a way to navigate Reversal Hero Saga even with this insane trait.

Because I was the ultimate veteran.

Gamers don't despair at adversity—they rejoice at the chance to overcome it.

The solution my veteran brain found was as straightforward as Solar Body itself.

Toughen my body enough to withstand its explosive power.

Train so I could endure a hyper-efficient bomb detonating inside me. Absurd, even to me—but doable.

"Alright. It'll be hell, but totally worth it."

'Overcome Solar Body penalty.'

This was my lifelong quest, newly forged.

And 5 years passed.
