Chapter 27 - One Look

I lay on the grass, looking at the sky

for what seemed like the hundredth billionth time.

I lay in wonder at the order of the world.

The grass, the trees, the people,

the buildings,

and the trillions of aliens scattered across the universe—

and Him.

The one everyone looks up to,

dies for,

lives for.

God.

And I wonder:

is one look all we get?

If there are so many of us to watch,

do we only get one look—or none at all?

Do we get seen at our worst,

or our best, just once?

One look decides it all.

If He notices us randomly throughout our lives,

why not give Him something good to look at

for that one look.
