I got back in the car from the ice cream store to buy ice cream for Jay.
But my heart beat seemed to stop and then quicken again.
I saw Jay Jay shivering, despite the car AC being on, she had placed her head on her knees and was crying profusely while holding her knees to her chest.
Seeing her in this state, it felt as if someone had stabbed me in the chest.
I quickly got into the car, closed the door and asked her, "Jay Jay, what happened?"
I tried to pick her up but she jerked my hand away and pushed it away from her.
"Pl-please. ...let me go, I don't ....want to stay here, please don't touch... me,stay away".she said this and put her hands on his ears as if someone was shouting here.
She was crying with hiccups.
"Jay Look at me love, it's me Keifer, come on look at me" I said, I caught her face and made her look at me, her eyes turned red, she was scared, she was not recognizing me at all.
I didn't want to force her to come to me. I didn't want to make her feel that force again. I wanted her to recognize me and trust me.
She looked at me for a while and extended her hand towards me.
I gently held her hand and gave her a chance, 'If you are not ready yet, I will wait till you are ready.'
But she didn't take her hand back. I gently lifted her from my side seat and placed her on my lap.
I noticed her breathing was becoming deep, she was not breathing properly.
"Jay breath, breathe"I said and run her back gently.
She put her head in my crook or my heck.and place her hand around my neck.
"I am right here with you, I am not going anywhere , everything is fine iam here,it's okay just breath".I said .
Through her hiccups she said, "I didn't... do
a-anything,....save me, please take me away from here." She said this and started crying more than before.
"Jay you are here with me,I don't let you go ,iam here baby,iam here"I said creases her hair gently and rub her back.kiss her head.
I didn't move from my place, I just sat there listening to her breathing and her broken cry. Each tear of hers stabbed me like a needle. And the biggest sorrow is that I cannot do anything.
After some time, she stop crying became silent but still sobbing in my neck , I opened the bottle and gave her water to drink.
I made her drink water and gently asked "Jay, if you're okay, there's no problem. Can I ask you what's wrong with you? Only if you're comfortable".I said kiss her forehead.
She remained silent for a long time, I did not force her.
"Keifer I saw my s-stepfather and....his sons".she said and I saw her shiver."keifer,If they take me then"?.she asked fully scard.
"No I don't let it happen,I don't let go".I said she hugged me more tightly "promise jay iam here when ever you want me hmm".I said
I promise that I will remove every pain and sorrow from your heart. And will not think about it even once if I have to take someone's life for this.
With me around, you won't have to endure anything alone. Not even second.
Because Whatever I have, it was you, the rest was just wasteland.
"Kiefer, I have to go to Kuya".she said suddenly.
I started the car and Jay Jay was right on my lap. She said, "Kiefer, I'm feeling cold." She put her hand on my back through my leather jacket and I zipped it up so he wouldn't feel cold.
Her head was on my neck and her warm breath was falling on my collarbone.
"Jay, what do you want to talk to Angelo about?"I asked her.
"About my past, the part I don't even remember," he said, and I became a little worried.
"Jay, if you try to remember your past forcefully, it will be painful for you. If you want to remember it forcefully, then I am not taking you to Angelo."I said but she looked at me.Really looking ayes.
"Keifer, I understand your concern, but I want to fight this fear. I cannot live my entire life under the shadow of this fear. I am not that weak." She said and take a deep breaths."Keifer, will you be with me? If you are there, I will get courage".
I kiss her head.

I feel safe.
"Keifer please"I know he cares for me but I want him to be with me, to be my strength and support. When I get tired of this fight, when I start losing and start getting scared, then he should be with me and help me fight this fear.
"We will reach your house in 20 minutes, till then don't think too much, take rest".he said
And because of the warmth of his arms, I started getting more sleep as usual.
My home is in your arms , wherever you are, that is my peace keifer.
If you promise to stay with me for rest of my life, I can fight the world.
Don't stay ahead or behind, be my forever just be mine.
I want to join myself in the dream with your sleep, if you are not with me I will not be able to walk even a single step, by your presence I turn my way in your path.
