THE INTRODUCTION
The story is about a young boy by the name Henry. Henry has always been despised in his class for his poor performance. And in his class, there is a girl called Lisa, she is not a social person therefore has never participated in any non academic activities, all she does is watch in silence.
In the school no pupil is favored more than the other, this is because they are all standard, they all came from well of families. Lisa lives with her parents the same neighborhood as Henry hence they often meet both in school and during holidays.
One day in school Henry had been harassed since he was unable to answer a science question ,most of his classmates had laughed and commented on his failures especially after the science teacher had read loud his performance in the recent exam. As obvious, Henry was top last. This has always been his position from the beginning. His papers had roamed around the class and by the time he received them, he had received numerous names and comments which made him despise himself and feels sad.
At home, things were not any different. His father who by all means is an architect has always criticized him and telling him how lazy he is and insults him all manners of names. He does these as his mother watches without a word, as his father abuses him for his failures.
The end of the school calendar is finally coming to an end. Everyone is excited going to the school hall for the final words before the school closes. Henry is left behind, he is not interested. Unfortunately Lisa has forgotten her glasses in her desk and decides to go back fetch them. She is surprised to see Henry sleeping on her locker.
She tries to wake him but he is not responding, realizing that, she hits him hard I waking him in surprise, he probably must have thought it was a teacher.
"May I " says Lisa as she opens her desk and takes out her case then leaves, but before she could reach the door something stops her.
" If I may ask , why are you always like this?"
But Henry does not respond, he thinks it is one of those many questions they ask him to level his stupidity.
"Are your parents aware of what you're going through in school?" Lisa asks again but receives no response. she starts working away to the school hall.
Henry on the other hand is left puzzled on how any of his classmates would care about him after all they all despise him.
