Jay-jay's POV
I didn't even realise how I reached home. Because I was thinking about Keifer all the way back. I met mama in the living room.
"Why are you early today??" She asked me while staring at me suspiciously.
"Huh??" I couldn't even register what she meant by that question.
Was she pissed at me that I came home early or happy about it. Or she was trying to play detective.
"You came back home from school before Aries. That's rare. Did something happen?"
She grabbed my arms.
"Why?? Can't I come home early. Do I need to explain myself for coming home early too?"
"Jeana! Let go Jay-jay. You're hurting the child." Tita Gemma yelled at mama.
"Child? She's turning eighteen in two weeks. She should think about the consequences before doing things."Mama snapped back at tita.
What was she talking about?? And why did she suddenly start caring about me so much? My life is like this because of her mistakes.
"What's your problem?" I asked her.
"I'm telling you to stay away from that boyfriend of yours." She tightened her grip on my arms.
Tears started sliding down my cheeks. I couldn't even wipe them because she was holding my arms. I hate how easily she makes me cry.
"What are you talking about?? We are not even together."
Yes we are together but not officially...I love him and I know he loves me more...but it wasn't the right time to discuss this...he was in danger now...I don't even know if he was safe or not...I don't want to discuss our relationship with anyone especially not with someone who couldn't even understand the relationship between a mother and her daughter.
My mother shook my arms,"He's not a good choice for you Jay. He's just like his father!!" She shouted.
"Don't compare him to his father! He's not like that monster. He changed himself !" I shouted back.
She laughed...A laugh that didn't reach her eyes. A mocking laugh. "And you believe that Jay? You believe that he changed himself for you?"
"Yes!"
She released my arms. "I'm warning you last time..Stay away from Watsons. Stay away from that boy or I will kill him myself before someone else does." She threatened me.
Someone else kills him?? How did mama know someone was trying to kill Keifer. Did mama know anything about the hit list?
"Do you know anyone who's trying to kill him?? " I asked mama,wiping my tears.
She didn't answer me. She just looked away. She definitely knew something. And I needed to know it at any cost.
"Mama.....Ma... please tell me what you know about Keifer..." She was still silent.
I kept wiping my tears but they kept falling anyway.
"I'll do anything you say... Please just tell me who's trying to harm Keifer... please ma..." I pleaded her.
Finally she looked at me. She exhaled heavily.
"I can't tell you everything Jay. Just know one thing...Kaizar Watson can do anything to get his property and dignity...even if that means killing his own blood."
I started seeing blur as I heard that. Keifer's father....was he the one trying to kill Keifer? Was it all his planning... Was Yuri also with him? That means Keifer was in danger now. His own father was planning to take his life... No no no no I can't let that happen...I have to go to him...
I started walking out of the living room...
"Jay?? Where are you going??" I heard tita Gemma calling me.
But I can't stop... I have to find keifer... I have to save him from that monster...
Someone grabbed me from behind as I reached the door.
"Jay!! Stop!!" Kuya Angelo yelled at me.
"I have to save him...I have to save him...Keifer..." I blurted out as tried to free myself from his grip.
"Jay!! Stop acting crazy!! You're not in sense now!!'
"Kuya...kuya....Keif.. Keifer...Keifer..." I cried out.
I was struggling against Kuya to free myself...
"Keifer... Keifer..."
But I started seeing blur...my legs felt numb...my knees gave out and I collapsed on ther floor...I saw with my blurry eyes kuya catching me before I hit the floor...
"Jay!! Hey!! Jay jay!!"Kuya was patting my cheeks....
But I couldn't see anything clear anymore. I could just whisper one name before my eyes closed fully.
