After a year, Shen Xin was once again a zookeeper.
Tiger Forest Park had assigned a veteran keeper to assist Shen Xin and teach him how to care for tigers.
The man's name was Yan Tao.
Physically, he was a standard Northeastern man: broad-shouldered and thick-waisted, with a square jaw. Just standing there, he gave off a real sense of security.
But once you got to know him, you'd find he was actually a considerate and kind-hearted guy, exceptionally good at looking out for others' feelings.
"Officer Shen, you should really reconsider. You could spend more time getting familiar with it," Yan Tao said, leaning against the wall as he tried to persuade Shen Xin.
Shen Xin had proposed opening the cage to actively approach Wandashan No.1.
He had been a keeper for three days now.
Every day, Shen Xin spent nearly all his time with the tiger. He wasn't just responsible for feeding it and cleaning its enclosure; he also chatted with it, trying to get closer.
