**Chapter 7: Awakening the Sharingan**
Reo took the mission scroll and saw that a group of bandits had appeared on a trade route somewhere in the Land of Fire. They needed to be cleared out as soon as possible. The intelligence report only mentioned some ronin (masterless samurai) and bandits. For ninja, clearing them out wouldn't be very difficult; it could only be considered a C-rank mission.
After all, once chakra became widespread, samurai were completely eliminated from this world. This was the era of the ninja.
"Is there any problem accepting this mission?" Sarutobi Hiruzen asked as per routine.
"No, we will definitely complete the mission!"
Reo shook his head.
"Good, then take the mission scroll and set off as soon as possible," Sarutobi Hiruzen said.
He didn't give Reo a second glance. Such a Chunin wasn't worth much attention from a Hokage like him.
"Yes!"
Reo took the mission scroll and left the mission hall.
Then he notified Aida Genryu and Hyuga Keiko, telling them to pack up a bit and rest for a while, and they would set off in the afternoon.
"Let's strive to complete this mission as soon as possible, then we'll have a three-day break," Reo said.
Aida Genryu and Hyuga Keiko nodded upon hearing this. The three of them rushed out of the village at extremely fast speeds.
Although Aida Genryu and Hyuga Keiko were only ordinary Genin in terms of rank, both of them solidly possessed Chunin-level strength, lacking only the promotion certification.
Their squad was a bona fide Chunin squad. Coupled with Reo, whose strength was comparable to a Special Jonin, handling a C-rank mission was truly using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
After marching rapidly for most of the day, the three-man squad arrived at the mission location. The target was a stronghold on a mountain not far away.
Not far from this mountain was a wide road. Normally, many merchant caravans should be traveling here, but according to the mission scroll, they had recently been blocked by this group of bandits.
And since there were many ronin among these bandits, ordinary people couldn't deal with them, so the request could only be entrusted to Konoha Village.
"Rest for an hour, then prepare for battle. We'll eliminate this group of bandits tonight," Reo said, standing on a tree branch and looking at the stronghold in the distance.
"Mm."
"Understood."
The other two didn't say much. They sat under the tree and took out food pills to replenish their stamina and chakra.
Reo, shouldering the responsibility of the captain, was in charge of keeping watch.
In the night, Reo stood on the tree branch, gazing into the distance by the moonlight.
He could clearly notice that his eyesight had improved. He could see more clearly than before. Although he hadn't awakened the Sharingan yet, his vision was much better than originally.
After resting for an hour, the three recovered their stamina and charged directly into the stronghold under the cover of night.
At this time, apart from a few sporadic night watchmen, everyone else in the stronghold was fast asleep.
*Swish!*
*Swish!*
*Swish!*
With just the sounds of shuriken cutting through the air, several bandits were hit directly in the throat and died before they could even react.
Aida Genryu and Hyuga Keiko looked at Reo in shock. Since when was his shurikenjutsu level so high?
Especially in the dark night, to be able to accurately hit the throats of these bandits without error—this wasn't just ordinary skill.
Originally, among the three, the one with the highest shurikenjutsu level was Hyuga Keiko. She had the Byakugan. Although it was the incomplete version restricted by the Caged Bird Seal, it was still much stronger than the average person.
So even if her ninja talent was considered mediocre within the Hyuga clan, for ordinary people, it was already quite good.
And the enhancement of a dojutsu Kekkei Genkai for ranged attacks like shuriken goes without saying.
But now, as soon as Reo made a move, his shuriken throwing technique seemed to faintly rival or even surpass hers. This wasn't something that could be achieved just by hard practice.
The three cleared them out very quickly. Although they looked like just three half-grown kids, the ninja profession was completely different from ordinary people.
In times of war, it was normal for children of a few years old to go to the battlefield and kill.
Some talented ninja were already renowned throughout the Ninja World at this age.
This was the particularity of the ninja profession.
Suddenly, just as Reo had silently killed the bandits in a courtyard, he heard a scream from the distance.
It was Aida Genryu!
Reo recognized it immediately; it was Aida Genryu.
But in a bandit den like this, who could injure a Chunin like him?
Even for an ordinary Genin, slaughtering ordinary bandits wasn't difficult at all. As long as one overcame the fear of killing, everything was easy, let alone with Chunin-level strength that surpassed an Elite Genin.
Thinking of this, Reo stomped his foot and used the Body Flicker Technique to rush towards Aida Genryu's direction.
When he arrived, he found Aida Genryu clutching his shoulder and cowering in a corner. In front of him, Hyuga Keiko was struggling to withstand a person's attack.
That person wore a ronin's outfit but was a ninja possessing chakra. The long sword in his hand was extremely fast, almost suppressing Hyuga Keiko to the point where she couldn't catch her breath.
This strength had absolutely reached the Elite Chunin level.
No wonder Aida Genryu suffered a big loss. If Hyuga Keiko didn't have the Byakugan enhancing her dynamic vision, she would probably have been injured by now too.
Reo probably understood now. No wonder this group of bandits could make such a big commotion.
It turned out there were rogue ninja supporting them from behind.
Seeing that Hyuga Keiko was almost unable to hold on, in a split second, Reo felt everything before his eyes slow down. His vision instantly enhanced, allowing him to clearly capture even a mosquito flying not far away.
**Sharingan!**
Reo immediately thought of it. He had probably awakened the Sharingan; otherwise, there wouldn't be such an astonishing improvement in dynamic vision.
Was it because he saw his teammate in danger that he naturally awakened it?
Is the awakening of the standard Uchiha bloodline given by this system that easy?
It completely lacked the legendary difficulty of needing the death of close relatives or friends.
However, at this moment, these many thoughts just flashed through his mind. He almost instinctively threw a shuriken.
The rogue ninja, who was fiercely suppressing Hyuga Keiko, suddenly noticed the shuriken shot from the side. He turned almost immediately and slashed the shuriken down.
But in the next second, another shuriken had already appeared in front of him, aiming straight for his neck.
To be precise, the two shuriken were thrown almost simultaneously.
But just as he was about to dodge, he saw another two shuriken blocking his escape route.
