Chapter 86 - Who taught you to deny everything after kissing someone?

The whiskey Duan Yiheng was drinking had a citrus acidity, its rich fruity aroma swirling on Lin Xi's tongue. The cocktail she ordered was potent, leaving her dizzy.

Lin Xi was held firmly in Duan Yiheng's grasp, her waist and neck squeezed, the position somewhat uncomfortable. She was held tightly in his hands. She tilted her head back, her eyes half-closed, enduring Duan Yiheng's uncontrollable and forceful kiss. Their breaths mingled, their lips being sucked and licked.

"Mmm..." Lin Xi exhaled a breath from her nose, "Enough...enough..." The last words were swallowed, and she was forced to arch her chest, pressing it against Duan Yiheng's chest, the difference in their sizes instantly apparent. She was pinned against the wall, unable to move forward or backward.

But Duan Yiheng couldn't. They were already six years apart, and if she hadn't insisted on working at Yin Fan, they probably wouldn't have had any interaction after she returned.

She was always right under his nose, but only Duan Yiheng knew how much effort he put into clenching his fists. The delusions fueled by alcohol and the atmosphere, which had been mostly sobered up by the cool breeze, were suddenly shattered when she lowered her head and said, "I don't like it."

At that moment, all of Duan Yiheng's restraint crumbled, and in a moment of impulse, he continued the ambiguous atmosphere of the bar. Lin Xi felt Duan Yiheng's kisses were like a relentless summer downpour, hot and humid.

She felt as if she were shrouded in the storm, unable to see ahead, unable to find shelter, and could only cling tightly to the person before her. In the stillness of the night, she tasted the release of passion. Her breath was taken away, her waist tightened, and Lin Xi's legs went weak, about to slide down.

Duan Yiheng caught her hips, lifting her up, his lips still on hers. Lin Xi was suddenly lifted high, instinctively wrapping her arms around his neck. The alcohol continued to spread through their bodies from this deep kiss.

Suddenly, the ceiling light flashed in Lin Xi's vision, and she found a foothold behind her. Duan Yiheng placed her on the living room sofa. Before she could even say a word, he kissed her heavily again.

The aftereffects were lingering; whether from the alcohol or the kiss, Lin Xi's limbs felt weak, and her eyes were filled with tears. "Duan Yiheng..." she mumbled, calling his name incoherently, "No..." She truly couldn't breathe.

How could Duan Yiheng not notice? He released her lips and instantly kissed her fair, slender neck. Lin Xi trembled, like rustling leaves. The strong liquor had already intoxicated Duan Yiheng.

His sharp mind was no longer working; he could only smell her fragrance. "Lin Xi..." Duan Yiheng called her name hoarsely.

The temperature around them rose steadily. Lin Xi's hand covered Duan Yiheng's strong chest, feeling his rapid heartbeat. "No…" Lin Xi's face flushed red, she refused weakly.

Another tight kiss landed, Lin Xi's beautiful eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings, drenched by a downpour, plunging headfirst into the mud. All of Lin Xi's thinking was cut off; she timidly wrapped her arms around Duan Yiheng's neck and began to respond.

Duan Yiheng was startled, then grabbed her wrist, firmly pinning her beneath him. His coat was pulled open, and his waist, pressed against the inside of the sofa, was suddenly pressed down. Warm palms pressed against her skin, sliding inside, then upwards.

Lin Xi curled up like a boiled shrimp, her eyes snapping open, and she pushed Duan Yiheng away with all her might. Duan Yiheng frowned and reached out to her. "Don't come any closer." Lin Xi abruptly raised her hand to stop him, shrinking herself into the corner of the sofa.

Hidden in her eyes was shame and panic; she wished she could jump off the building. She wasn't drunk, and she'd avoided him before because of a kiss, so why, why did she repeat the same mistake? He was her brother, and her boss. Lin Xi, what were you thinking?

Duan Yiheng, panting heavily, felt a sudden weight lift in his heart: "You're trying to run away again?" Lin Xi didn't dare look him in the eye, saying, "Can't we just pretend everything that happened was an accident?" Duan Yiheng scoffed: "You always try to brush me off like this?

Then why did you let me kiss you again and again?" "You initiated it," Lin Xi said softly, her head bowed. "..." Duan Yiheng was speechless, leaning back on the sofa, giving a self-deprecating laugh to the ceiling light.

Lin Xi felt stifled and a little upset. She glanced at Duan Yiheng out of the corner of her eye and slid down to sit. Looking at the slippers scattered at Duan Yiheng's feet, a blush rose to her cheeks again. She and Duan Yiheng had changed into slippers when they came in.

When he picked her up while she was still somewhat dazed, her slippers were thrown off the moment she lay down on the sofa. Lin Xi awkwardly curled her toes, trying to figure out how to naturally walk to her kissing partner, then squat down and pick up the slippers. "Lin Xi."

"Hmm?" Lin Xi answered instinctively. Duan Yiheng turned to her, a half-smile on his face: "Who taught you to deny everything after kissing someone?" "I didn't, I—" "I did initiate it." Duan Yiheng interrupted her, "Then didn't you respond?"

Lin Xi pursed her lips, stubbornly denying it: "I was drunk, not very sober." Duan Yiheng was practically laughing in exasperation. He rested his elbow on his knee, picked up the slippers from the floor, then stood up and walked to Lin Xi, squatting down beside her.

Lin Xi paused, not understanding what he was doing. Duan Yiheng grasped her ankle and put the slippers on her. Lin Xi snapped back to reality, trying to pull her leg away, but he firmly held her down and put the other slipper on her. "Drunk?" Duan Yiheng looked up at her. "Who was that with their arms around my neck? And who responded to my kiss? You were trembling with pleasure, your heart was beating faster than usual, but you can't remember what happened a second ago?"

Lin Xi blushed deeply. She suddenly stood up, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "I'm going back to my room to sleep." Duan Yiheng moved even faster, trapping her between himself and the sofa. "Can you sleep? What happened just now isn't something you can just forget."

Duan Yiheng gritted his teeth, pressing her hard. "Last time it was an accident. I was afraid of scaring you, so I let you run away. Guess if I'll still treat this as an accident this time?" Lin Xi grabbed his collar. "You bastard."

Duan Yiheng pressed down on her hand, chuckling softly. "Don't threaten me with your resignation anymore. Whether you're at Yin Fan or not, tonight, our relationship has changed." "What exactly do you want?" Lin Xi's throat tightened.

Duan Yiheng cupped her face, his fingertips pressing against the corners of her eyes, his gaze gentle: "I dare to say it now, but do you dare to listen?" "No." Lin Xi shook off his hand, her expression stubborn. "You're not allowed to say it, and I don't want to listen." "I knew you'd react like this."

Duan Yiheng's fingertips brushed against her lips. "I'm not in a hurry, Lin Xi. We have a long future ahead of us."
