Chapter 41 - Chapter 41 Great Evil!

Ameri walked up to Shesi, unsure how to speak, when Shesi suddenly said to the two of them, "Let's go, I'll take you to a good place."

"Huh? Oh." Ameri didn't ask further and just followed behind Shesi. Shesi, with Clara tucked under his arm, pulled out a paper doll from Clara's pocket and started to find the way.

Soon, the group arrived at the Magical Creature classroom.

"What are we doing here?" Ameri looked at Iruma, a little confused.

Shesi didn't speak but instead gave Ameri a mischievous smile. Suddenly, Ameri seemed to realize something, her cheeks instantly turned red, and she began to fidget.

This isn't good... If it's a confession, shouldn't Clara not watch? After all, she's still a bit shy.

Just as Ameri was lost in thought, Shesi's voice interrupted her.

"Come, reach out your hand, we need to go up," Shesi said, standing by the cherry blossom tree.

"Huh? Oh, oh." Soon, the three of them reached the treehouse Shesi had cleaned a few days ago. As mentioned before, from here you could see all the scenery of Babyls School, and it was also the best place to watch the Fireworks. "Clara, can you give us some cushions?" Shesi asked Clara.

"Okay!" Clara said, then pulled out three cushions from her pocket and placed them under the three of them. She also took out a lot of snacks. Since She Si-chin said they would watch the Fireworks here, they definitely needed something to eat.

The three sat down and looked towards the Central Plaza.

Seeing Ameri's worried frown, Shesi comforted her, "It's fine, my brother has already gone to handle it. Trust me, he's very capable." Shesi said.

"Iruma? Alright, if you believe in him." Ameri replied after Shesi spoke, but the worry in her eyes still lingered. Although she hid it well, Shesi still noticed it.

Shesi, seeing this, thought to himself:

If she knew Iruma was the next Demon King, she'd be scared to death. The demon prophecy is practically screaming that Iruma is the Demon King. As for himself, hmph, being a Demon King's relative who bullies men and women doesn't sound bad either.

Just as Shesi was about to get sidetracked, he heard Clara call out, "Time is almost up! When the opening bell rings!"

"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5."

Time rewound to two minutes earlier.

At this time, Iruma had already arrived at the secret base and began conversing with Kiriwo.

"Senior, those barriers, you set them up, didn't you?"

"Yes, I didn't expect the teachers to call it an event. It's even livelier now, isn't it?"

Iruma then saw the Fireworks above gaburi.

"Then... Senior, what are you going to do with the Fireworks?"

"Of course, to blow up the school, to destroy the school!"

Kiriwo looked at Iruma's surprised expression and continued, "gaburi was made for this very purpose."

"Why... Why would you do this?" Iruma couldn't understand. His respected senior, the senior who wanted to eliminate ranks, the senior who was so good to him—why had he become like this?

"Say, have I ever told you about my birth? My family, the Yamis, are known as the Iron Wall, a leading noble family in the Demon World. Our magical power reserves are also top-notch. My birth, however, was nothing short of a stain on this family. When I was born and tested with scarce magical power, everyone was disappointed in me, even my mother. I was sent to the Academy for Delinquent Children, an elementary school that thoroughly managed, trained, and corrected young demons. Although the teachers at that academy were very strict, and my classmates constantly mocked me, there was still one demon who was willing to play with me. Although her grades weren't great, we often played together. But there was one time I failed to protect a memento her grandmother had given her. The look of despair on her face then was truly..."

Iruma heard this and thought it was a story similar to those his brother told him in the Human World.

Kiriwo suddenly began to tremble.

"Seeing her desperate expression, succumbing to brute force in the cutthroat Demon World, I felt it. Every time I recall her desperate look, I think... Ah~ I want to see it again!"

"Huh?" Iruma was stunned.

"It's incredible. Every time the demons around me look at me with disappointment, my heart tightens. Thanks to her, I realized what this emotion was. But when I saw her desperate look! My heart pounded like lava. In that moment! I knew the meaning of my existence."

Kiriwo directly pinned Iruma against the wall.

"Can you understand? The despair of other demons is the value of my life."

It was then that Iruma clearly realized that the person in front of him was a demon, and he was a human.

Suddenly, Kiriwo reacted, released Iruma, and then continued, "You want to know my reason for destroying the school, right? The catalyst was the previous Division exhibition. I met Big Brother in the Magic Tool Division. At that time, the Magic Tool Research Division could be said to be infamous, and that's what attracted me. It was then that I met Big Brother." Kiriwo recalled this, touching the metal on his ear.

"I told him what happened. I still clearly remember what I said: 'I know it's abnormal to feel excited by desperate expressions.' But Big Brother said, 'What's abnormal about it? This is an atavism. Demons of old were all like this. You just inherited a purer bloodline, that's all. But I understand your thoughts.' Big Brother said that the current Demon World has no screams, no roars; it's sickeningly lukewarm. So, my comrades in the Magic Tool Division and I decided to restore chaos to the Demon World. After that, I occasionally went back to see Big Brother. He gave me many things and knowledge. Then I entered this Babyls School to study. After some time, Big Brother suddenly told me he wanted to eliminate ranks."

He continued, as Iruma watched in shock,

"It's truly exciting! Because of the hierarchy of ranks, everyone obeys those above them. But if you turn the steps into a cliff, that's true chaos. So, we decided to first destroy the symbol of ranks, Babyls. With gaburi and the Fireworks, it's sure to be a huge explosion, right? And you, as the Chairman's grandson, personally destroying the school your grandfather manages, must be truly desperate, right?" Kiriwo looked down, expecting to see Iruma's desperate expression, but instead, he saw Iruma's resolute expression, as if he were about to join a party.

"Huh?"

What Kiriwo didn't know was that Iruma and Shesi were people born from despair in the Human World! Difficulties, for Iruma and Shesi, were commonplace!

So, for a man like Iruma, who was accustomed to despair,

"Wh-why?"

"Because even if you despair, the situation won't change, and your stomach won't be full. So, you must act."

All along, Kiriwo felt that Iruma was very similar to him: honest, good at defense, and ambitious. But, for someone who brings despair, for someone like Iruma who is already accustomed to despair and strives for a better direction...
