Chapter 2 - failure to scientist

From Failure to Scientist

Chapter 1: The Boy Who Always Failed

Everyone in the small town of Brookfield knew Leo as the failure boy. Not because he was lazy, and not because he was bad, but because he never succeeded in anything. In school, his grades were always low. In sports, he was always the slowest runner. In competitions, he always lost. Teachers stopped expecting anything from him. Classmates laughed at him. Even some relatives whispered behind his back.

"Leo will never become anything," people said.

Leo heard those words every day.

He lived in a small broken house with his mother. His father had left when he was young, and his mother worked in other people's houses to earn money. She was tired every day, but she always smiled at Leo.

"Don't worry, my son," she said. "Failure is not the end."

But Leo did not believe it.

Every night, he sat alone and looked at his school books. Numbers confused him. Science formulas looked like strange codes. English felt like a foreign world. He tried and tried, but nothing worked.

One day, after failing another exam, Leo sat behind the school building and cried.

"I am useless," he whispered.

That day changed his life.

Chapter 2: The Broken Radio

On his way home, Leo saw a broken old radio in the trash near a shop. It was dirty, cracked, and useless—just like how he felt.

For some reason, he picked it up.

At home, he cleaned it and opened it.

Inside, he saw wires, small parts, metal pieces, and strange tiny components. He did not understand anything, but he felt something new inside his heart.

Curiosity.

He tried to connect two wires.

The radio made a small sound.

His eyes widened.

He tried again.

The sound became clearer.

After many hours, the radio suddenly played music.

Leo froze.

"I fixed it…" he whispered.

For the first time in his life, he succeeded in something.
