In the vast expanse of Teyvat, war raged and smoke filled the air. Every faction fought ceaselessly for supremacy. Lü Bu, an incomparably fearsome warrior, wielded his Sky-Shattering Halberd and led his iron-clad cavalry to cut down all who stood in his way. First, he seized Inazuma. There, he witnessed the strange power of Electro, and his troops clashed fiercely with the Inazuman Resistance and the Shogun's forces. Flames reddened the seas, and blood soaked the earth. In the end, Inazuma fell beneath his iron hooves.
Next, Lü Bu turned his gaze toward Liyue. Though the ancient power of Geo was formidable, Lü Bu feared nothing. He battled the Millelith army led by Ningguang on the open plains. Boulders fired from the Guizhong Ballista and arrows from Lü Bu's army clashed in the sky. Charging ahead of his men, Lü Bu cut through the enemy ranks as if they were nothing, routing the Millelith. At last, Liyue also fell into his hands.
Soon after, Mondstadt did not escape his wrath. The Knights of Favonius fought bravely, yet they gradually faltered under Lü Bu's ferocious assault. Even the power of Anemo could not halt his advance. The gates of Mondstadt were breached, and cries of battle echoed through its streets. With that, Mondstadt came under Lü Bu's control.
Finally, he marched his army toward Snezhnaya. The bitter cold and the stubborn resistance of the Fatui did not deter him. He fought thrilling, deadly battles against the Fatui Harbingers one after another. Amid the ice and snow, Lü Bu swung his halberd, leaving trails of cold light. His army surged like a tidal wave of steel, smashing through Snezhnaya's defenses and conquering the nation.
By then, Lü Bu had become the most powerful force in all Teyvat, his fame spreading far and wide.
Meanwhile, Yuan Shu, once a prominent figure on the continent, lay gravely ill on his deathbed, his life hanging by a thread. Knowing his days were numbered, he watched Lü Bu's rise and formed a plan.
Yuan Shu sent for Lü Bu to come to his camp. Lü Bu strode inside and looked at the sickly Yuan Shu with a flicker of confusion. Struggling to sit up, Yuan Shu said:
"General Lü, you have conquered Inazuma, Liyue, Mondstadt, and Snezhnaya. Your power is unmatched. Teyvat will soon be yours. I hold the Imperial Jade Seal, a symbol of supreme authority. I offer it to you three times, to help you claim the throne and rule over all Teyvat."
Lü Bu was stunned. He had not expected such an offer.
The first time, Lü Bu declined: "Lord Yuan, though I have seized several nations, claiming the throne is too great a matter. I fear I am not worthy."
Yuan Shu did not press him.
Several days later, Yuan Shu summoned Lü Bu again and once more offered the seal.
Lü Bu frowned. "Lord Yuan, many powers still remain across the land. If I declare myself emperor, I will only stir resentment and bring disaster upon myself."
Yuan Shu only smiled and said nothing.
When Yuan Shu summoned Lü Bu a third time, begging him earnestly to accept the seal and take the throne, Lü Bu's resolve wavered. He thought of all the battles he had fought, the vast lands and armies he now commanded. The temptation of the throne was too great. And Yuan Shu's persistence… perhaps this truly was the will of heaven.
In the end, Lü Bu accepted the Imperial Jade Seal from Yuan Shu.
Surrounded by his followers, he held a grand coronation ceremony across Teyvat. On that day, colorful auspicious clouds lingered in the sky, and horns and cheers rose one after another. Wearing a golden crown and imperial dragon robes, Lü Bu sat tall upon his throne, gazing down at his subjects, his heart filled with pride. He swore that he would make Teyvat prosper under his rule, and usher in a brand-new era.
