Her gaze shifted to Ayase, curious. Then, an understanding smile suddenly formed on her face.
"I didn't think it would be this early, oh dear."
Hearing that, Akihito suddenly shouted in embarrassment.
"I told you mom, not every girl I bring to my house is my girlfriend!"
'Mom?'
Ayase blinked, shocked. She looked at Akihito, her eyes clearly demanding an explanation.
Feeling her gaze, Akihito sighed before answering honestly.
"I think… I get it. Anyways, this is my mom. Or at least, someone that's taking the appearance of my mom. I don't know if she's real or not, but I can't be mistaken. This is probably the monster's way of messing with our minds."
Ayase nodded in understanding, but then her brows furrowed.
"Why are you so calm then?"
