Ultra Sonic realized, in a sickening way, that even with his powers, he couldn't beat Max's raw strength and toughness. Max controlled the fight, beating Sonic until he was covered in his own blood and backed into a corner.
Just when Ultra Sonic was about to give up, Rahale, who had been knocked down earlier, got back on her feet. She started throwing lightning-fast Taekwondo kicks, but Max just blocked them with his now-tough left hand. Her moves were useless against his monster strength. With a final, brutal kick, Max sent her flying again. Max stood tall, looking like he was the toughest guy in the room, even after beating two super-powered teens.
Right as Max was about to finish them off, something weird happened. Golgo, who had already lost earlier, stumbled back into the arena. But this Golgo was different. A dark, creepy aura started to glow around him, like black smoke. It was a sign that he was getting really strong, like he was unlocking a hidden power.
Max froze, his face turning into a scary grin. He looked at Golgo and said, "Traitor." Before things could get any worse, Max's own aura changed.
