My day starts like any other. I wake up at six in the morning, brush my teeth, wash my face, and go through the same boring routine. Today is a school holiday, and normally that would make me excited. But not today.
Today, I'm waiting for something else.
By eleven in the morning, I can already feel it. My heartbeat is faster than usual, and my thoughts won't slow down. I try to distract myself, but it never works. It never does.
At eleven-thirty, I leave my house and head toward the beach. The salty air always helps me breathe better. The waves are calm, the sky is clear, and everything looks peaceful. Too peaceful.
My body starts to feel… strange.
Not weak. Not tired.
Good. No—too good.
At eleven-fifty, a memory flashes through my mind. A broken wall. Sand flying into the air. A single punch that should never have been that strong. I swallow hard and force myself not to think about it.
Eleven fifty-nine.
My surroundings feel distant, like the world has taken a step back. My breathing slows. My heartbeat becomes steady, heavy, powerful.
Then the clock hits twelve.
A shockwave passes through my body—silent, invisible, but absolute. For a moment, it feels like the entire world trembles. Like reality itself is holding its breath.
For the next twenty minutes, I know one thing for sure.
