Viella's POV
Reaching Dante's mansion, I nearly forgot how to breathe.
The place wasn't just decorated-it was glowing. Fairy lights draped over marble pillars, and every corner had some kind of elegant floral arrangement (don't worry, no tulips-Dante must've ordered a tulip ban).
I took a deep breath.
Then another.
Finally.
Tonight was the night.
The night I'd get the bracelet. The night I'd get my freedom. The night I could start counting down to my retirement from this mafia plot
Or so I hoped.
The moment I stepped through the grand entrance, I was immediately ambushed-by a surprisingly strong hug.
"Omo, my darling!"
Oh no. Nonna.
Dante's grandma was in full fluffy-feather-scarf, hugging me"I heard you had an allergic reaction, my, my, I was so scared! I could hardly sleep!"
"I-uh-" My lungs about to give up because oxygen was no longer available.
