Chapter 24 - The Cunning Lyra

At the Magic City Training Ground, Kael ended the call and shouted:

"Corviknight, that's it for today!"

"Gaa!"

Corviknight stopped flapping its wings and looked at its master in confusion. Training usually lasted until the afternoon—today it ended before noon.

Exhaling lightly, Kael said, "Lyra has something going on at school. Let's go check it out."

He wasn't worried at all. He knew his sister well—clever and playful, yes, but kind-hearted and never one to stir up trouble.

"Gaa."

Corviknight responded, clearly urging him to hurry.

"Shinx, return. You did well today," Kael said, recalling Shinx into its Poké Ball.

"Let's go."

He leapt lightly onto Corviknight's back and patted it.

At the same time, the closed dome of the training ground slowly opened.

Corviknight's crimson eyes flashed. Its nearly eight-meter wings beat powerfully, stirring up a violent gust.

"Whoosh!"

Like a cannonball, Corviknight shot into the sky.

With a loud crack—boom, the ground below fractured into a spiderweb pattern.

Moments later, Corviknight vanished beyond the open dome.

As for compensation for the damaged ground—no joke. Kael had paid a hundred thousand for the venue. Breaking some tiles was nothing. Otherwise, no one could train seriously.

After Kael left, the heavy doors reopened, and a middle-aged man entered. Looking at the battlefield-like scene, he sighed.

"Young people these days… such fiery tempers."

He patted the Poké Balls at his waist.

"Sandslash, time to work."

Two beams of red light flashed, and two Sandslash appeared, immediately starting repair work.

Everything proceeded smoothly and professionally.

Half an hour later, Corviknight approached Chunfeng High School.

Kael tapped its back, signaling it to slow down.

"Gaa~"

As Corviknight passed over the school buildings, students below burst into excited cries.

Those familiar with the Pokémon knew immediately—Kael had arrived.

In the corridor of Senior Year Two, Class One, Elayne looked up and said:

"Aria, it's Kael."

Aria had already noticed.

She just couldn't figure out why Kael was coming to school at this time.

Meanwhile, in the teachers' office, Professor Selwyn stared out the window at the massive bird, then slowly turned to Lyra.

"So… that number you gave me… was Kael's?"

Only now did she realize she'd been completely tricked.

In Chunfeng High School, everyone knew how fiercely protective Kael was of his sister.

That past incident still lingered vividly in her memory.
