Chapter 12 - Ayal Unlocks His Power

Ayal felt something awaken inside his body—something far beyond his imagination.

He could sense seven different streams of mana flowing within him.

He slowly closed his eyes.

Seven mana… inside my body?

Questions flooded his mind.

He stood by the window. Outside, the moonlight poured into the room, filling it with pale silver light.

Was I chosen?

Did someone select me… and send me to this world?

I'm just an ordinary human. Can I really do something like this?

Doubt, fear, and curiosity tangled inside his chest.

But then his gaze hardened.

If this is real… then I will fulfill my goal.

First, I must understand my power.

I don't even know what kind of strength this body holds.

And who is the mastermind behind all this?

Which god wants to descend and destroy the world?

And more importantly—

How do I control this power?

Lost in thought, Ayal kept staring outside.

Suddenly—

His eyes widened.

Someone was standing there.

A figure holding a sword.

Beside him stood another presence—its shape unclear, almost invisible.

But when Ayal focused, he understood.

Lenfan…

So this was it.

They had sent someone to kill him.

Before he could react—

The figures vanished.

A moment later—Pain exploded through his body.

A sword struck him from behind.

Ayal spun around instinctively and raised his own sword with both hands to defend himself—but it was useless. The blade cut deep.

Blood spilled from his arm, dripping slowly onto the floor.

"Why?" Ayal shouted.

"Why are you trying to kill me?! I know who sent you—Lenfan, right?!"

The attacker stopped.

Then—

Darkness crept across the man's face.

He fell silent.

Ayal looked closely.

The man was dressed in black, his entire body concealed.

A strange smiling mask covered his face.

"Hahaha… ha… ha…"

"I knew it," the masked man said.

"I knew you were watching. I knew you heard me talking with Lenfan."

Ayal's eyes widened.

"You… you knew we were watching you?"

The masked man laughed and ran a hand through his hair.

"Of course. I always know."

"Before I kill someone," he continued, "I let them see their own death first."

"Watching their fear… it's my greatest pleasure."Ayal's mind went blank.

Suddenly, the masked man attacked again.

Their clash shattered the ground beneath them.

Ayal's body was already severely damaged.

Blood streamed down from his head.

His left arm bled heavily.

He struggled just to remain standing.

The masked man looked down at him and sighed.

"I thought you'd be strong," he said coldly.

"But you're weak. Killing you is meaningless.""You call yourself a god?"

"You're nothing but a disgrace to the name."

Ayal collapsed to one knee.

The masked man drew his sword.

"Your fate was written," he said

"A weak god like you only stains the name of all gods."

Then—

Something unbelievable happened.

A brilliant light erupted from Ayal's body.

An aura unlike anything the masked man had ever seen surged outward—

An aura no god should possess.

Ayal's mana exploded.

It grew vast.

Overwhelming.

Endless.

The pressure alone sent the masked man flying backward.

His mask cracked slightly—

Yet he smiled.

Not fear.

Not regret.

Only joy.

"Incredible…!" he laughed.

"I've never been this happy in my entire life!"

"Show me," he said eagerly.

"Show me your power!"

Ayal stood upright.

His eyes glowed faintly.

His body felt light—unnaturally so.

Without a word, he struck.

One blow.

The masked man was sent flying far into the distance.

When he stood again, Ayal's face showed no emotion.

"Not bad," Ayal said calmly.

The masked man's aura surged—dark, twisted, monstrous.

"Then let's see," he grinned.

"How much joy you can give me!"

He rushed forward, drawing his sword—

But Ayal shattered the blade with his bare hand.

The masked man burst into laughter.

"I haven't felt this alive in years!"

He attacked again, grabbing Ayal—

But Ayal caught his arm effortlessly.

"Enough," Ayal said.

With a single spell, countless swords materialized in the air around them.

"This ends now," the masked man declared.

The swords rained down—

But Ayal moved faster than sight.

He stepped through them.

Then he looked up at the sky.

His body lifted into the air.

The masked man froze in shock.

Before he could speak—

Ayal cast his magic.

A massive point of light formed in the sky, vast beyond imagination.

Then—

He released it.

The explosion swallowed everything.

The academy was almost completely destroyed.

Ayal fell to the ground, drained, collapsing onto the ruined road. The masked man was still standing.

He had prepared for this.

Not a scratch on him.

And he was smiling wider than ever.

"This is the best moment of my life," he said happily.

But when the dust settled—

He walked toward Ayal.

"You possess a magnificent power," he admitted.

"But I've already accepted the mission."

"So you must die."

He raised his sword—

Suddenly—

A voice called out his name.
