Chapter 67 - Chapter 67: The Conversation at Headquarters!

"Pwahahaha, we were thinking the same thing, Sengoku!"

Garp burst out laughing, but his laughter died down when he saw Sengoku's face had already turned dark.

"Where is he? Where's the person I told you to bring back?"

Sengoku's head instantly swelled, his teeth turning into fangs.

Beside them, Vice Admiral Tsuru calmly sipped her tea without even lifting an eyelid, long accustomed to such scenes.

As for the other two, Akainu and Kizaru.

One sat bolt upright with a solemn expression, while the other lazily trimmed his nails.

"The kid didn't want to join the Navy. There was nothing I could do," Garp said, promptly sitting down to the side.

Sengoku sat down, speechless, his eyes fixed on Garp.

"Then what about the intel?" Sengoku asked after taking a few deep breaths.

"Oh come on, he's just a young man. Why are you so concerned? You're the Fleet Admiral, you have so much to do every day."

Garp waved his hand while chuckling.

"You're aware that I'm very busy?"

Sengoku was so angry he almost laughed.

"I know, I know, so I won't disturb you any longer. I'll be going now, ha!"

Garp said, about to get up.

"Wait, don't change the subject, Garp. Tell me your thoughts."

Both Akainu's and Kizaru's gazes fell upon Garp.

"Alright, Cyrus is a pretty good young man. Likes to hunt down pirates!" Garp said after a moment's thought. Akainu slowly nodded upon hearing this.

"But he says it's for the bounty money."

Akainu's expression stiffened, and he let out a cold snort.

"That's not bad either. The purpose of us issuing bounties is just that, so this is fine," Vice Admiral Tsuru said with a gentle smile.

Behind her, a young female marine with long legs had a curious look in her eyes.

To be praised by Vice Admiral Garp, he must be a decent person.

"And then? Garp, don't pretend you don't know what I'm asking!"

Seeing Garp beating around the bush, Sengoku's expression turned grim.

"Indeed, he's a suspected user of the Logia Type Flame-Flame Fruit. He fought with Jinbei in the East Blue. I don't know the result, but Jinbei didn't take the Fish-man's body with him, so he probably suffered a loss," Garp said, stroking his chin.

"He fought with Shichibukai Jinbei, huh? His strength is quite impressive. Isn't this young man just a teenager?" Vice Admiral Tsuru asked with a smile.

"That's right, he's indeed not old. He even fought with me on my ship," Garp said nonchalantly, scratching his head.

Then, everyone in Sengoku's office turned their gazes to him.

"Ahem, of course, I wasn't serious."

Although Garp was an unreliable person, everyone acknowledged the strength in his hands.

"He's proficient in Two Colors Haki, has a formidable physique, and is very strong. He just doesn't know how to hold back!"

As Garp spoke, he even touched his eye socket.

Of course, the mark from that punch had long since disappeared.

"For someone so talented, Vice Admiral Garp, you should have found a way to bring him back to Headquarters. He would naturally come to understand the Navy's justice then," Sakazuki said with a stern face.

Garp shot him a sideways glance but didn't answer.

Sakazuki, having been snubbed, didn't continue speaking.

"How terrifying. A young man like that, after a few years of experience on the seas, will become another powerhouse. If he becomes a pirate, that would be a huge problem," Kizaru said with a pout.

Snip!

He clipped a nail, which spun as it fell to the floor.

Indeed, if such a young man became a pirate, it would be a problem.

"That's unlikely. Cyrus has no interest in becoming a pirate," Garp immediately shook his head.

"Garp, you don't get to decide that," Vice Admiral Tsuru spoke up, shaking her head.

With her wisdom, she could naturally figure out that whether he was a pirate or not was a decision Cyrus could make for himself, but it was also a decision the Navy and the World Government could make for him.

Hearing this, Garp thought of what Cyrus had mentioned about the Celestial Dragons, and he frowned at once.

Many problems were caused by this group of parasites.

Seeing Garp's expression, Sengoku and Vice Admiral Tsuru, who knew him well, realized there was something Garp wasn't saying.

"If he becomes a pirate, I'll go capture him myself," Garp said after a moment of hesitation.

"But from my contact with him, he's not the type to do evil deeds. Even if he becomes a pirate, it might be for other reasons," Garp added as a supplement.

In fact, his words already indicated that he would not be inviting this person again.

"Let's leave it at that for now."

Sengoku was actually still unwilling to give up, but since Garp had put it that way, he temporarily set the matter aside, merely keeping it in mind.

After all, he was a Logia user, very young, and different from pirates. He was worth trying to win over.

"Over in the North Blue, Germa 66 attacked four kingdoms, beheaded the four kings, and released the news through the World Economic Journal," Sengoku said.

"Such villains should be eradicated!" Akainu was the first to speak.

"The World Government is preparing to make contact with Germa 66!" Sengoku said after a glance at Akainu.

Akainu's face stiffened, and he said no more.

"As long as they have value and can pay up, the World Government doesn't care about this kind of thing," Garp said, picking his nose with a disdainful expression.

"They're probably going to invite them to become a member nation of the World Government. After all, those four countries in the North Blue weren't before," Vice Admiral Tsuru said.

"This time, the World Government's contact requires the Navy's cooperation. Their request is for an Admiral to go!"

As soon as Sengoku said this, Akainu immediately stood up.

"I still have many matters to attend to."

After saying that, Akainu left directly.

Then, everyone else's eyes turned to Kizaru.

"Me?"

Kizaru pointed at himself, his lips pouting high, looking very displeased.

He probably didn't want to run such a long errand.

"Your ability will get you there faster. It's you," Sengoku gave the order directly.

Kizaru looked utterly speechless.

He had been caught in the crossfire while just watching the show.

Kizaru stood up, acknowledged the order, and also left directly.

Vice Admiral Tsuru watched Kizaru leave, her gaze lingering on Garp.

"Diamante is one of Doflamingo's executives. Arlong is a Fish-man, and he has a good relationship with Jinbei. Once this Cyrus goes to the Grand Line, a conflict between him and those two is inevitable."

Having pursued Doflamingo for a long time, Vice Admiral Tsuru knew him very well and understood Doflamingo's attitude toward the executives of his family.

Diamante was considered a core executive. Now that he had died at Cyrus's hands, one could already imagine what would happen next.

"There's no need to worry about that. Since he did it, let's see what this Cyrus is capable of. As for Doflamingo, if he gets defeated, it doesn't matter," Sengoku said directly.

The Shichibukai system was a World Government plan, and the choice of Doflamingo was also made by the World Government.

If he were to be defeated, it was nothing the Navy needed to be concerned about.

At most, they would just have to find someone else to be a Shichibukai.

Sengoku's gaze turned to Garp.

"Don't. I mentioned it, but he doesn't seem interested," Garp said, shaking his head immediately upon catching Sengoku's meaning.
