1:00 AM, Tuesday, 1728
A heavily armed private military plane landed on the airport of Rockvale City. The whole Airport was in a lockdown to welcome this plane. All city officials and big business tycoon could be seen waiting outside to catch a glimpse of that figure.
He was the God of War of the Rokan Empire and he has returned to his hometown after 7 long years in battlefield and wars.
The plane landed and the staircase opened and from there a dark, tall handsome man descended. He was not very mascular and not particularly very lean, the frame was moderate and at first glance he would be seen as a very ordinary being with no power nor status but that was far from the truth.
After descending he walked towards the car which was parked there before the plane arrived and there were two men standing there. They after seeing the figure immediately knelt on one knee and said
"LORD".
" Get up both of you." A deep voice sounded and " Refrain from saying that to me from now onwards. I have left my post." While saying this there was a deep pain in his eyes and it went away as soon as it came.
The two said in unison " You shall always be our Lord. This life of ours have been dedicated to you".
He slightly opened his mouth but seeing there resolve he said " But don't say it in public. I came here for my personal reasons and nothing more."
" As you wish my Lord" both shouted in unison.
"Let's go." He said.
All of them got into the car and the black phantom quietly moved towards the exit.
There was heavy military presence in the airport and wherever the car passed the millitary personnel knelt on one knee and after they departed all the military personnel too went away.
Draken Calder came from the city of Rockvale married to the Nobles of the city The Ashborn's.
In the car he asked to the two of them
" How are my parents doing and my wife?"
Hearing the question they flinched slightly and it didn't went unnoticed by Draken.
His tone became frigid cold and the car's temperature went down by 5 degrees. "What is it?" He commanded. The two shivered and Aric said" Lord your father has been crippled and your mother is sick. The Ashborn's have inflicted tremendous torments and pressure to them in these 7 years."
" What about my wife?" He asked. This time they didn't flinched they said " She has been cut off from the Ashborn's and she is living with your parents. Also your brother and her have been the breadwinner this whole time."
At the mention of his wife a small smile tugged at his face but then again after listening to all the things done by the Ashborn's to his family and wife he was furious. Not the kind of furious where one becomes hot headed but a cold and calculative anger where you break your enemy and take joy from there torments and fear.
He narrowed his eyes dangerously after hearing all the things. After his enlisting in the army the Ashborn's tried to nullify their marriage and when their own daughter opposed to it they cast her aside and even threatened her to outcast her parents. She swallowed all the grievances and chose to leave her home and go to his husband house. They sent people to The Calder household and demanded betrothal gifts and money. At first they gave whatever they had but after some time it became a routine so they stopped giving and that's when the real assault began. His father government job was snatched as he was framed for a crime he did not commit and he was terminated from his job. Though it was not a very high ranking job but they were well off with his income. His brother was rusticated from the University programme and was forced to give up his dreams and join the workforce at the tender age of 16. Seeing all these his mother fell ill and was bedridden for the past 3 years. Hearing all these made his eyes moist and he was blaming himself inside but there was also a resolve slowly forming in his heart. Now that he has returned he would make everyone pay for the crimes they have committed and give them 1000 fold for what they have done to their family.
After sometime the Car came to a relatively low end residential area. The road was bumpy with wastes littered across the roads and it's sideways. The smell was foul. Since it was night no one could be seen in the neighbourhood. As the car approached a dilapidated house. The walls had cracks and the paint was worn out a long time ago.
Draken came out of the car and motioned the two of them to go away and though they were tasked for his safety and his stay here they knew it was better for them to leave and watch from afar. The car went away. The house looked very old and in the verge of breaking. This was not the house he grew up because at that time they were given houses from the government to stay and it was not something very grand but even then it was way way better than what he was seeing now.
He cracked his neck sideways and exhaled and took a deep breath because he has been returning after a very long time.
He braced himself for everything like his father lashing out, his brother being angry with him and all of that. Thinking all of the things he started walking towards the door and after reaching the door he wanted to ring the bell but he was very restless and anxious inside. It was a very peculiar feeling because he felt like this after a very long time. Even when he faced millions of enemy soldiers he never even felt a shred of anxiety or discomfort but today he felt it in his bones. Because this was his own family. What a Irony it was as he being the Commander of the Rokan Empire whose very name instilled a deep terrifying fear in his enemies was visibly tensed to meet his own family members.
Putting aside all the thoughts he pressed the door bell. No one answered at first and he again pressed it for second time. This time there was some movement inside the door. And the door opened and the person was sleepy. So he said in his sleepy state" Who is it?" And when he saw the person's face he was shocked beyond anything.
