That's the last thing i said before throwing myself into the deep clear lake. I felt the cold water all over my body as i sank deeper into the water. I saw no point in screaming for air or holding my breath longer.
A smile on my face appeared as i barely heard panicked chatter and screams of people below me.
I put all my strength into flipping them off as the pressure of the water almost made it harder to do so.
Its funny how the world works, no one gives a damn about you but when something interesting happens to you, they treat you like a king for some reason. I absolutely hate that about this world.
"Fwak...thwis..woold.."
I struggle to shout out the words out as the water fills my lungs, slowly feeling the water reaching my throat. So this is how i die...such a sad way to go.
"So that's what brought me here," I explain nonchalantly to the two goddesses towering before me as i put my arms around my head. From the white hair colour they share, as well as the matching blouses of the same colour as their hair they are wearing, i am pretty certain that they are twins, except for their distinct eye colour. Iam sure these are not the gods we were thought about.
"So am i free to advance to heaven now?"
The goddesses stared at each other dumbfoundedly in response to my question. One of them chuckles maniacally as she focused her glance at me while the other yawned loudly, her baggy eyes showing her tiredness.
"Listen....Light, you might have lived a sinless life according to your records, but...you unfortunately committed a heart breaking....sin of ending your own life.
The obviously sleepy goddess murmured between quick yawns which made it very irritating and difficult for me to understand her.
"I see so can i go to heaven now....i have no time for chit chat." I respond in a scornful manner as i examine my nails, my reaction causing one of them to twitch as she tries her best to hold on to her smile as the other continues to yawn, using her hand to support her head.
"We understand your patience is non-existent but please bear with us...
" No! I didn't kill myself for nothing. I didn't sacrifice my life just to be lectured into not receiving what i deserve. Heaven or hell don't care as long as my soul rests in a quiet empty place.
The once quiet goddess smirks widely to the mention of hell as she finally releases her voice to me.
"Hell you say, no need to say no more.."
She summons a dark door behind me as it opens, revealing a red void. As i turn to face it, hands emerge from the door as screams occur from the door causing me to fall back as i rush back backwards, my mouth wide with fear.
"W-w-what the hell is that!"
I scream out before my body lands on their feet, causing me to look at them as my body shakes.
The one who summoned the door grins widely as she tilts her head at me.
"What's wrong Light, you said you didn't care if you soul went to hell didn't you?
'I...i know that but...but...,"
Before i could answer another door suddenly appears as it slowly opens, emitting a bright light. A mysterious figure in white emerges out of the door, catching my attention.
"Mitsune, Kitsune we have a huge problem concerning the current vessel....oh and who is this?"
The mysterious figure studies me as he asks the two goddesses. "Never mind him, so what's the problem about the vessel, we were pretty sure he would be capable of handling the demon king. Did something wrong happen?
The once grinning goddess asks the figure as she approaches, leaving me with her sleepy twin as she tried her best not to loose consciousness and not fall on me.
The bright white, faceless figure nods as he sighs, having a slight tone of disappointment.
"Positive, from observations, the demon king broke free from the vessel before the sealing was completed.
" Damn...so close this time...if this continues our poor islands will slowly become wastelands."
The conversation caught my attention as i crawled towards them, trying to keep as far as possible from the horrid door to hell.
"Vessel? Demon king? Islands? What are you talking about?"
"Non of your business, we should deal with you now before continuing on the other matter."
The faceless figure glares at me as his his body shines brightly, almost at if interested in me. "Oh isn't it the kids who ended his life? Yeah we should deal with him as soon as possible...or...?
"Or?"
The goddess and i say in unison, causing him to grin, showing his white, sharp teeth as he strokes his chin.
"Hey are you interested in being reborn in another world...,"
"Reborn?"
"Kinda...i have a proposal for you. We will consider sending to you heaven if you agree to become the new vessel for trapping the demon king."
"Become a vessel huh? This feels like one of those isekai manga i read back in the day. Will i get an overpowered skill or something? A hot goddess to accompany me?
"Excuse me?"
The goddess raises her brow at me as she give me a stare of disgust, the mysterious figure having a little chuckle.
"Heh...i like this guy. To answer your first question, yes ill give you a skill but i wont say much about it, call it overpowered if you want to. Now for the second question....i am not answering that, if you want a harem or something be my guest."
"I see... so about this world....,"
"Mitsune...can you summon the door?"
The goddess known as Mitsune nods silently as she snaps her fingers, summoning a transparent door a few ichies in front of the door to hell, the transparent door glowing a bright shade of blue.
"Are you sure he is capable of...being a vessel? Not everyone can handle the role you know?"
I glance at the transparent door as i gulp. "Uh...i think ill take the door to hell instead?"
Mitsune grins hearing me. As i get up she quickly approaches me as she places her hands on my shoulder." Ill gladly help you achieve that goal immediately," She says as she agressively pushes me to the door to hell, passing the transparent one. Hearing the voices grow louder and the hands emerging of it being aggressive, i push my feet to the ground as i try my best to prevent her from throwing me in.
To my luck it works as i come to a stop sudden stop as he fails to push me any further.
"What the hell! Why cant i push you in."
"I changed my find! Ill take the offer! Pls stop!!"
" Oh no you decided to go to hell now you do, your not capable of becoming a vessel. Kitsune come help me get rid of this guy!"
The sleepy goddess known as Kitsune yawns as she slowly approaches them. "o...k...," She weakly says as she places her hands over Mitsune's back, barely helping her.
"Is that all you got Mitsune? Be serious!"
"I am trying my best sis..,"
" No your not!!"
I immediately use my remaining strength to back away. For some reason it worked as i suddenly push them back, it was surprising how light they were.
"W-WHAAAAT!"
Mistune screams as the mysterious figure examines the scene with interest. A slight bit of panic washes over him as he realized that they are coming close to the transparent door to the other world.
"Hey uh...you guys should be careful not to approach the door any further before...,"
Suddenly i trip over something as i fall back, my body weight causing the goddesses to also fall back as their bodies vanish into the transparent door, causing it crumble in sparkles.The mysterious figure sighs as he shakes her head in frustration.
"Well that happened.....,"
