Chapter 25 - 25. Spirit Beasts Are Only Fit to Become My Spirit Rings

"BOOM!!!"

The Titan Giant Ape's mountain-like fist smashed down once more, carving out a bottomless crater in the area where Lin Mu had been, sending dirt and shattered vegetation flying.

However, Lin Mu's figure had long vanished from that spot.

As a speed-type armor, the Kushala Daora armor could move at a speed of one kilometer per second—equivalent to three times the speed of sound!

It was a complete and utter statistical monster.

Lin Mu's form left a series of afterimages in the air. In the blink of an eye, he appeared several hundred meters away, only to transform into a hurricane and whirl back the next second, continuously weaving and weaving through around the vicinity of the Titan Giant Ape.

"ROAR!!!"

The Titan Giant Ape roared in fury, its massive fists pounding the ground and its surroundings in a frenzy.

Its lantern-like eyes were filled with anxiety and violent rage. Sister Xiao Wu had been taken away by another human; she could be in mortal danger at any moment.

It had to deal with this meddlesome pest as quickly as possible and then go rescue Sister Xiao Wu!

Under the terrifying force of its blows, the nearby trees were destroyed as if they were straw. The earth shook continuously, leaving deep, concave fist imprints.

Yet no matter how the Titan Giant Ape attacked, Lin Mu always managed to evade just before being struck, doing so with ease and composure.

The Titan Giant Ape's terror lay in its immense strength, but its weakness was its lack of speed. Especially in front of Lin Mu, it could only be toyed with.

Seeing all its attacks miss their mark, the Titan Giant Ape grew increasingly furious. Its gaze swiftly locked onto Lin Mu.

"Hummm—"

An invisible force field suddenly expanded from the Titan Giant Ape as its center.

The surrounding space instantly became viscous and heavy. Under the effect of this force field, the ground abruptly sank downward.

This was precisely the Titan Giant Ape's innate domain: the Gravity Control Domain!

Within this domain, all objects would be subjected to gravitational pressure several times, even dozens of times greater than normal, making even basic movement extremely difficult.

However, at the very instant the domain expanded, Lin Mu's figure had already transformed into a cyan streak of light almost impossible to catch with the naked eye. With a speed akin to teleportation, he shot out of the domain's core range and landed steadily at its very edge.

So what if it possesses a domain? The Kushala Daora armor's speed is three times the speed of sound. It can escape the domain's range in the blink of an eye.

If he increased his spirit power output, the speed could become even faster. Not even a Title Douluo could catch up to him.

Feeling this terrifying speed, Lin Mu couldn't help but let a smile curl at the corner of his mouth.

"Raging Kite Blazing Bow!"

Lin Mu waved his right hand. The wind elements around him converged onto his hand, where cyan-green light continuously condensed, rapidly forming a gorgeously crafted bow wreathed in swirling winds.

Immediately after, the fifth spirit ring at his feet lit up. Countless wind elements compressed rapidly at his fingertips, forming an extremely solid cyan arrow.

When transforming from the Flame's Nava to the Kushala Daora, the spirit rings themselves did not change; only the elemental attribute shifted from fire to wind.

"Fifth Spirit Skill, Ten Thousand Arrows Unleashed!"

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

The arrow left the bowstring, transforming into a dense rain of arrows in mid-air that shot with pinpoint accuracy towards various parts of the Titan Giant Ape's body, specifically targeting areas of relative defensive weakness.

The Titan Giant Ape roared angrily, waving its massive arms to block.

Its thick fur and hard keratin provided excellent defense. Most of the arrows failed to cause substantial damage, merely piercing the skin.

Attack power was not the Kushala Daora armor's forte. Moreover, Lin Mu's spirit power was only at the seventieth rank. Seriously injuring the Titan Giant Ape was simply unrealistic.

However, while he couldn't inflict serious wounds, he could continuously whittle it down using his speed advantage.

Just as the Titan Giant Ape swung its arms to defend, one arrow shot through, striking and piercing the softer flesh under its armpit.

Other arrows followed in quick succession, similarly attacking relatively vulnerable spots.

While the effect of these attacks wasn't massive—for a creature as thick-skinned and hardy as the Titan Giant Ape, they barely counted as minor injuries—they would add up over time. Eventually, they could wear the beast down to collapse.

In just a few minutes, the Titan Giant Ape began to rage impotently. Its roars shook the entire forest.

The injuries on the Titan Giant Ape's body multiplied, yet this human hadn't suffered a single scratch. Even if it used every method at its disposal, it still couldn't lay a hand on this human.

Having lived for a hundred thousand years, it had never seen a spirit master with such speed. Even Title Douluo were far inferior to this fellow.

The longer this dragged on, the greater the danger to Sister Xiao Wu.

What made it worse was that this human was utterly shameless and impossible to catch, driving the Titan Giant Ape into an even greater fury. Its eyes turned bloodshot, as if it were about to enter a berserk state.

At that moment, Lin Mu ceased his attacks. Transforming into a hurricane, he landed on the ground in front of the Titan Giant Ape.

The Titan Giant Ape was just about to swing its fist and smash this bastard, but in the next second, its movement froze.

"Er Ming, that's your name, right?"

Having successfully stunned the Titan Giant Ape, Lin Mu continued, "I know your relationship with Xiao Wu. I also know Xiao Wu is the reincarnated human form of the hundred-thousand-year spirit beast, the Soft Boned Rabbit."

Hearing this, the Titan Giant Ape's pupils abruptly contracted, shock and fury mingling in its heart.

"For spirit rings and spirit bones, you humans killed Sister Xiao Wu's mother! And now you have your sights set on Sister Xiao Wu herself!"

"Die!"

Seeing that this human knew these things, the Titan Giant Ape's killing intent surged even higher. It lunged forward, a massive palm whistling through the air as it swatted towards Lin Mu.

However, Lin Mu's figure flashed. In an instant, he appeared on the beast's broad shoulder!

The Titan Giant Ape instinctively reached up to slap its own shoulder, but once again struck empty air. Lin Mu had already teleported to its other shoulder.

"Xiao Wu won't die. She was poisoned by a Human-Faced Demon Spider, but I've already given her the antidote. She's not in mortal danger."

Standing on its shoulder, Lin Mu's tone was flat, yet it carried an undeniable pressure.

"However, your attitude displeases me greatly. Tell me, what if I were to go back, kill that little rabbit, and absorb her hundred-thousand-year spirit bone? How does that sound?"

"You wouldn't DARE!!!"

The Titan Giant Ape let out a heaven-shaking, earth-trembling roar, the sound waves rolling out, yet carrying a trace of imperceptible panic.

"See if I dare or not?" Lin Mu snorted coldly, his gaze sharp and piercing. "You should understand perfectly well what a reincarnated spirit beast means to a spirit master."

The Titan Giant Ape's struggles gradually slowed. Its chest heaved violently, panting heavily. Its lantern-like eyes were filled with rage, unwillingness, and a deep, profound sense of helplessness.

After a long silence, it emitted a low, thunderous growl, pleading, "Human, as long as you do not harm Sister Xiao Wu, I will agree to anything."

"Excellent."

Lin Mu's figure flashed again, landing ten meters away from it. "I am currently in need of a seventh spirit ring. I think you are quite suitable. As long as you offer yourself to me as a sacrifice, I can swear not to lay a hand on Xiao Wu."

Whether it was the Sky Azure Bull Python or the Titan Giant Ape, in his eyes, they were merely spirit beasts.

Spirit beasts are only fit to become his spirit rings.
