Chapter 59 - The Chu Father and Daughter

The Man in Black was a bit dumbfounded.

Something seemed to be wrong.

"Wait, actually I..."

Before the Man in Black could finish his sentence, that fat monk had already swung a fist over.

Immediately after, dozens of monks began to gang up on the Man in Black.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!!!

The Man in Black initially wanted to resist.

But unexpectedly, every single one of these monks was an Expert.

In no time at all.

The Man in Black was beaten until he lay flat on the ground, screaming repeatedly.

"Amitabha!"

Monk Hugo chanted a Buddha's name, signaling for everyone to stop.

When the crowd stopped.

The Man in Black was seen lying on the ground like a dead dog, his face bruised and swollen, blood continuously flowing from his mouth.

"You... you... you guys are going too far!"

The Man in Black said, his words slurred and indistinct.

From the looks of it, even his teeth had been knocked out.

"You were the one who came to make trouble first, why are you saying we went too far?"

Void Bamboo (Drake Song) said with a strange look on his face.

The Man in Black broke directly into tears.

If I fucking knew you monks were this brutal, I wouldn't have dared to come make trouble even if you beat me to death.

"Amitabha. Benefactor, do not be sad, do not grieve."

Hugo stood in front of the Man in Black with a face full of benevolence.

The Man in Black looked up, staring blankly at Hugo.

"As the saying goes, put down the butcher's knife and become a Buddha on the spot. I wonder if the Benefactor is willing to be tonsured and become a monk? To enter my Buddhism?"

What the hell?

Asking me to become a monk?

The Man in Black thought he might have misheard.

"What did you say?"

"It is fine if the Benefactor's ears are not good, this poor monk will say it again. I wonder if the Benefactor is willing to be tonsured and become a monk, to enter my Buddhism?"

Hugo raised his voice a little and spoke to the Man in Black.

The Man in Black had a face full of grievance.

You beat me up, and now you want me to become a monk?

You can't bully people like this.

"I... I won't become a monk!"

The Man in Black said cautiously.

He was deeply afraid that by saying this, he would invite another severe beating from these monks.

Hugo revealed a look of regret.

"Alas, alright then."

Hugo did not force the Man in Black to be tonsured and become a monk.

"However, the gates of my Shaolin Temple will always be open to the Benefactor."

"If one day the Benefactor achieves a great epiphany and wishes to become a monk, you may come to my Shaolin Temple."

After saying that, Hugo waved his hand at the crowd.

"Fellow cultivators, thank you all for today."

"It's nothing, fellow cultivators of Buddhism should naturally help each other."

"My Buddhism has always been united as one."

"A pure land of Buddhism truly cannot tolerate outsiders coming to act wildly."

...

The monks returned to their respective temples one after another.

The Man in Black scrambled and rolled as he quickly slipped away.

He swore.

He would absolutely never come to this godforsaken place again.

He didn't want those two kids anymore, either.

Anyway, he had already mastered the secret art of making Boy Puppets; the worst-case scenario was just finding new ones.

Three days later.

Dakang, who had been unconscious all this time, finally woke up leisurely.

Finn Guo, who had been staying by the bedside the entire time, was instantly pleasantly surprised.

"Dakang, you're finally awake!"

Hearing the commotion, Quinn Ye also walked in from outside.

Dakang was awake, looking around with somewhat bewildered eyes. Although his face was still a bit pale, it was much better than the previous few days.

"Where... where am I?"

Dakang asked somewhat weakly.

"Cloud-Drifting Mountain, this is Cloud-Drifting Mountain."

Finn Guo hurriedly said.

Dakang looked at Finn Guo, a bit of doubt in his eyes.

"Little Rascal?"

"Mm-hmm, I am Little Rascal."

Finn Guo quickly replied.

"Dakang, do you still remember what happened?"

Quinn Ye asked from the side.

Dakang frowned and thought back.

"There was a person who said he could give me a lot of food, as long as I followed him."

"And then?"

"And then I followed him. He made me eat a lot of weird-tasting pills and tapped my body many times."

"I just felt my body was a bit unwell those few days, and then I can't remember clearly."

Speaking up to here, Dakang revealed a bit of pain on his face.

Quinn Ye's brows furrowed slightly.

It seemed this child's memory also had some problems.

But fortunately.

It looked like his life was saved.

This was already considered a great fortune amidst misfortune.

Quinn Ye brought over a bowl of vegetable porridge and had Finn Guo feed it to Dakang.

After drinking the vegetable porridge, Dakang's complexion obviously improved.

There was even a trace of rosiness.

By the afternoon, Dakang could actually get out of bed and walk.

This made Quinn Ye feel doubly amazed.

Could it be that the vegetable porridge I cooked is even more effective than the medicinal pills of those cultivators?

No matter what, Dakang had pulled through anyway, and was getting better at a visible speed.

Another day passed.

A long procession arrived at the foot of the mountain.

Dozens of tall horses, ridden by soldiers wearing battle armor.

Further back was a luxurious carriage.

Inside the carriage sat a father and daughter.

The woman was exactly the Princess of the Prince of the West's Estate, Princess Tiffany Chu.

Princess Tiffany's father, the Prince of the West, Theodore Chu, had also come along with Princess Tiffany this time.

The father and daughter came to thank Quinn Ye for his grace in saving the Prince of the West's Estate.

Back then, the Prince of the West's Estate was suppressed by the Song Clan and was once driven into a desperate situation.

Even Princess Tiffany was miserably pursued and almost lost her life.

Now things were fine.

The Song Clan had completely settled down.

They had even sent people to the Prince of the West's Estate to apologize and offered a heavy gift.

Thus, the Prince of the West's Estate could finally breathe a true sigh of relief.

Having survived the crisis, how could they not thank their benefactor?

Not only did Princess Tiffany come herself this time, but she also dragged her father, Theodore Chu, along.

Theodore Chu's appearance was somewhat similar to Princess Tiffany's.

But for some unknown reason, his face was a bit sallow, and his eyeballs also had a yellowish tint, making him look somewhat listless.

Looking at her father's complexion, Princess Tiffany also felt some worry in her heart.

It had been some time since her father started showing such symptoms.

She had also sought out many famous doctors, but all were helpless.

One famous doctor even said that once these symptoms appeared, unless relying on life-extending Heavenly Treasures, his days were numbered.

Princess Tiffany was very worried, so she brought her father not only to thank Quinn Ye but also to ask Quinn Ye to take a look at her father.

After all, Princess Tiffany had witnessed Quinn Ye's abilities with her own eyes.

Even a strange disease like Bella Bai's, which had existed since childhood, was cured by Quinn Ye.

Perhaps only Quinn Ye had a way to cure her father's illness.

"Daughter, I am a bit worried. Do you think an Expert like that would be willing to treat me?"

Theodore Chu said, laden with anxiety.

Although he held the noble status of the Prince of the West, he knew very well that in the eyes of a true big shot, he was absolutely nothing.

Especially since Princess Tiffany had said that even Emperor Dominic Su had to be exceptionally polite in front of Quinn Ye, this made Theodore Chu even more nervous.

"It's fine, Father. Expert Ye is very approachable and doesn't put on the airs of an Expert at all."

Princess Tiffany comforted him.

"Moreover, Expert Ye is currently experiencing the mortal world using the identity of a mortal. So when the time comes, we shouldn't call him 'Expert', nor should we be too respectful. It's better to be ordinary."

"I see. Truly worthy of an otherworldly Expert, his ways of doing things are indeed so eccentric."

Theodore Chu nodded, his mood relaxing a bit.

"Your Highness, Princess, we have arrived at Cloud-Drifting Mountain, it's just..."

The captain of the guards suddenly came to report.

"Just what?"

Princess Tiffany asked.

The captain of the guards revealed a strange look.

"It's just that for some unknown reason, quite a few temples have been built at the foot of Cloud-Drifting Mountain. Right now, we are stopped in front of a temple named The Shaolin Temple."

A temple?

Both Princess Tiffany and Theodore Chu were startled.

"I'll go down and take a look."

Princess Tiffany immediately got out of the carriage and walked straight to the front gate of The Shaolin Temple.

It just so happened that Void Bamboo came out holding a broom to sweep.

The two bumped right into each other.

"Drake Song!!!"

Princess Tiffany was greatly shocked.

Why is this playboy here?
