Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The forest of Silverwood, as always, was super vibrant and pretty. You could hear all sorts of animals and the forest spirits were out, playing around. But one fairy stood out from the rest.

Unlike the other fairies of Silverwood, Cassiappeia was different. She'd been around for like, 500 years, and had helped and seen so many adventurers come and go.

The thing is, Cassiappeia was a half-fairy, mixed with human blood – her mom was human, her dad was a fairy.

A lot of people looked down on her because she wasn't "pure" fairy, but she didn't really care. She proved them wrong and earned the title of

"The Gentle Guardian of Silverwood." She even got to know a bunch of humans because she was curious and always wanted to help.

Fairies are usually known to avoid other races, super reserved and proud, unlike anyone else.

But Cassiappeia broke all those stereotypes because she was so curious and caring when it came to creatures who needed help.

It was supposed to be just another chill day for Cassiappeia. She was just sitting on a branch high up in a tree, in her human form, watching some young fairies play.

Then, suddenly, a loud screeching sound! The fairies all scattered and hid, but she just stayed put.

"Hmm...must be another goblin or someone getting attacked," she thought, and shifted into her fairy form. She fluttered her wings and followed the screeching sound.

The sound led her to this weird-looking thicket. "Huh...the sound stopped here. That's strange..." She hesitated for a sec, but after thinking about it, she dove right into the thicket.

As she got to the other side of the thicket, she found herself in a place she didn't recognize.

"Wait, has our forest always been this huge?" She looked around, took a deep breath, and then looked up at the sky. She saw two moons.

"Teka, shouldn't there be seven moons? What's going on?!" Her head was spinning with questions.

Where was she? And why were there only two moons?

"Okay, relax, don't panic... I must be seeing things...yup, definitely." She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and then let it out.

She opened her eyes again and looked straight at the sky. Still the same. The sun was setting and the two moons were shining bright.

She froze and suddenly had a million questions. She just plopped down on the ground.

She didn't know what to do when, suddenly, she heard that loud screeching again.

"Huh...the screeching sound!" She flapped her wings super fast and flew towards the sound.

She ended up seeing giant scorpions fighting a tiger that had a lot of scars. She also saw girls screaming and yelling behind the tiger.

"Looks like...the tiger's protecting those girls. Interesting."

She watched as one of the scorpions went for the tiger, trying to sting it with its tail. The tiger dodged it, making sure the girls were safe.

One of the scorpions, while the tiger wasn't looking, tried to sneak up on the girls from behind.

Cassiappeia noticed and with a flick of her hand, a tree root shot out and attacked the two scorpions.

The tree root sent the two scorpions flying, and they crashed into the other scorpion that the tiger was fighting.

This surprised the tiger and the girls. The scorpions got mad and attacked the tiger with everything they had.

Cassiappeia flicked her fingers again, and a tree root appeared and dragged the scorpions away.

The roots wrapped around their bodies and crushed them. The girls were terrified, but the tiger didn't seem fazed. It let out a loud growl, like it was telling the fairy to come out.

Cassiappeia was amused. She waved her hand in a circle, and a white gas came out. One by one, the girls behind the tiger fell asleep.

"Hmm...so they're that weak," she said to herself, and looked at the tiger, who looked worried. "It... handled that sleeping spell pretty well." She grinned but then saw the tiger's face and felt a little guilty for doing that.

She fluttered her wings and flew towards them.

"Hey there, brave warrior... sorry for putting them to sleep,"

She said as she approached the tiger. The tiger was surprised and confused. He looked at where the voice was coming from and saw the fairy looking at him, amused.

What confused him even more was her appearance. He'd never seen a creature like her before.
