Chapter 57 - 57-New Recruits and Old Grudges

On a street several blocks away, Officer Judy rode a police trike and stuck parking tickets on vehicles along the road. Even though she had already been promoted to chief, this counted as a little hobby of hers.

Judy had noticed what was happening long ago. With a twist of the throttle, she sped toward Clara, then pulled out a stun gun and fired. A burst of electricity shot through the air.

The lizardman who still wanted to fight instantly convulsed from the shock.

She walked up and presented him with a shiny pair of silver handcuffs.

"Hi, nice work, Miss!"

The lizardman had already been subdued and was now crouching on the ground while trembling and clutching his head. No one could tell whether it was from fear or the electricity still coursing through him.

The antelope girl also got her bag back. She kept patting her chest with her small hands and repeatedly thanked Clara.

"Thank you, Miss! I'm truly grateful for your help."

[You helped the antelope girl retrieve her lost bag. Money +200]

Clara felt a bit embarrassed, and her face flushed slightly red. This was her first time doing a good deed. She had not expected that two casual punches would actually daze the criminal.

Then she looked at Judy again. Before, she had only seen her in the promotional videos, but now she saw the real rabbit officer up close. She had big eyes and two rabbit ears swaying back and forth.

"Recently, the public security in Liberty City has been getting worse. The police station is short on staff, so are you interested in becoming an officer, Miss?" Judy directly extended an invitation to Clara.

Hearing that, Clara immediately nodded and eagerly agreed.

Boshita stood in front of the police station entrance after being held in custody for an entire day. He scanned his surroundings and only felt the bleak breeze cutting through the evening air.

Fifteen years and one day of prison life had hardened his heart like stone. In his life of luxury, he had never suffered such treatment before. In his family, everyone had always acted according to his mood.

"How despicable!" he muttered.

Now he looked at every citizen in Liberty City as if none of them were good people.

Boshita felt he could not waste time any longer. In the story, Ken had told him to come find him, but he had already wasted too much time. He had to continue advancing the main quest and understand this world's systems.

But before that, he wanted to conduct an experiment.

He first arrived at a rundown neighborhood on the outskirts. A filthy environment with garbage scattered everywhere on the ground and flies buzzing all over it. Dusk was approaching, and made the entire alley look gloomy.

While walking through it, Boshita suddenly had his path blocked.

Two young delinquent catfolk people approached, and beside them stood a motorcycle with ghostly blue flames.

One was a white catman, the other a yellow catman.

"Bro, where are you headin'?"

The white cat looked arrogant with his chin raised almost to the sky, staring sideways at Boshita.

"Kid, if you know what's good for you, hand over all your money and show some respect. We might consider lettin' you go!" The yellow one had a scar across his face and a fierce expression. He licked his sharp fangs while pulling out a dagger and spinning it in his hand skillfully

The two directly sealed off Boshita's path from both sides.

Boshita calmly watched all of this, then the corner of his mouth slightly curled upward.

"You're exactly who I was looking for."

Especially since they were catfolk, which stirred up unpleasant memories of his stolen car.

He clasped one hand into a fist, and his joints cracked loudly.

"Oh ho, this kid's tough!"

"Get him!"

Seeing the Marine Elf before them, the yellow cat revealed a cruel smile. Then the two charged straight at him.

The yellow catman took the lead and thrust his dagger straight forward.

Boshita remained completely calm.

'Did you think I studied at the Royal Academy Sword Department for nothing?'

Boshita felt very safe, especially with this body's excellent physical condition; even if he were an ordinary person, he still would not be afraid.

He sidestepped the incoming stab, then instantly grabbed the yellow cat's wrist. At that moment, the white catman had already rushed over.

He kicked again and sent the white cat flying backwards, hitting the ground hard.

With a squeeze of his right hand, the yellow cat screamed. His dagger-holding hand instantly loosened.

*Clang.*

The dagger fell to the ground.

Next came hunting time.

Boshita completely vented and poured all the resentment of the past two days onto the two of them. His fists came down relentlessly.

"Ah!"

"Stop hitting, stop hitting! I was wrong, boss!"

But Boshita did not stop. These two catfolk were surprisingly durable.

"I'll teach you for trying rob me!!

I'll teach you for blocking my path!!

I'll teach you to demand respect from me!!

I'll teach you for stealing cars like mine!!"

Every sentence came with a punch, and the two cats were beaten until their faces were swollen and bruised.

"Sir, sir, we know we were wrong! Stop hitting, stop hitting! Wuuu..." they sobbed.

"We didn't steal your car! Wuuu..." the white cat whimpered.

They swore that if they ever found the bastard who stole this demon's car, they would make him pay for their suffering.

"Still talking back?!"

"Ah! My face!"

At this moment, the white and yellow cats were filled with endless regret. They had really brought this unto themselves by provoking this monster.

"Boss, pls stop hitting! From now on, we will follow your lead."

"Yeah, yeah, boss! From now on, we'll listen to you, just please spare us!"

After beating them up for a while, Boshita got tired. Hearing they wanted to become his underlings was an unexpected gain, so he stopped. Continuing would really kill them.

Originally, he just wanted to test whether beating people outside a police officer's range counted as a crime. Seeing no stars appearing above his head, he had already understood.

As long as no officers were nearby, doing some small acts of violence should be fine. As for the rest, further testing was needed.

Now that he had two subordinates, his mood improved slightly. He took their contact information.

"If I need something, I'll call you. Don't try any tricks, otherwise..." His face stared coldly at them, making clear that he wasn't playing around

"Definitely, definitely! Boss, you can rest assured!"

"Yeah yeah, whatever boss wants us to do, we'll do it!"

Boshita nodded in satisfaction, then looked at the Harley nearby. He had already fallen for its design and immediately got on it.

"Boss, that's ours..." The white cat's voice grew quieter and quieter because Boshita gave him a cold look, saying What belongs to his underlings belongs to him.

Actually, the motorcycle had just recently been stolen by the two of them, and they had not even properly enjoyed it yet. But Boshita did not care. Now it was his.

With a new ride as cool as this Harley, his mood instantly improved. He just wondered how the hover bike he had been longing for would feel. He had to get one someday.

Opening the map, he looked at a marked location. Then he rode off toward the target.
