Chapter 30: The Bloody Feast and a Silent Prayer
Liva's Threat and Fear
When Liva saw that Rina had stood up on her feet despite all that blood, he went mad. He pressed his black dagger against Rina's father's throat and shouted with a voice full of rage and trembling, "Rina! If you take one more step, I will separate your father's head from his body! Stop trying to be a hero. Look at yourself; you are just a broken, fragmented body." Liva wanted to stop the storm inside Rina with these threats.
A Destructive Conversation
Liva's mother approached Rina with arrogance and said in a cold voice, "Rina, look at this world. Where is your light? Where is that God you were praying to? Now, only the shadows rule. You are just a weak girl who brought destruction to your father and your friend. Your life is a great curse to anyone who gets close to you. You are an ill-omened girl." Rina, with dark eyes, replied, "Your words are as full of poison as your body. Rest assured, one day this poison will make you regret everything."
Diari's Tears and the Magical Blow
Diari lay on the ground, his body burning with magical fire. With eyes full of tears, he looked at Rina and said in a strained voice, "Rina, forgive me. I didn't want to be a burden to you. Please forgive me... save yourself, leave me behind." Rina wanted to reply, but suddenly Liva's mother struck Diari with a magical blow, throwing him aside. Rina shouted with a trembling voice, "No! Don't hit him, he is innocent!"
The Feast of Shadows
To humiliate Rina and the others even more, Liva and his mother sat down and began eating the prey they had hunted. Liva raised a piece of meat and said mockingly to Rina and her father, "Eat and be full, mother, because after eating these animals, they (Rina, Diari, and the father) will also become the meat before Liva and his mother." The sound of them chewing the food echoed like sharp knives in Rina's ears.
The End of the Chapter: Rina's Father's Prayers
Rina's father had no strength left. With eyes full of hope, he looked at the sky and managed to raise his hands slightly. He began to pray, "Oh God, protect our children. My age has passed; even if I die, it is okay, just let Rina and Diari be saved. Have mercy on us.
