Chapter 53 - Elite Four on the Other End

There was still some time before his next match, so Peter opened the Forum.

As expected, the sales post he had put up earlier already had plenty of replies.

The highest bid had climbed to 120,000 Poké Dollars.

A normal Mid-grade Fire Stone sold for around 130–140k at a department store. Peter didn't hesitate. He immediately contacted the bidder with the ID:

"CrimsonBidder."

Peter:

"Hello, that price works for me. How would you like to do the trade?"

CrimsonBidder:

"I'll transfer the money directly. You send it via Tomato Express (urgent) to Villa No.16, Lily of the Valley Island. Please make it fast."

The message had barely been sent when Peter's phone chimed.

'Your Tomato Bank card has received 120,000 Poké Dollars. For details, please check your mobile banking app.'

"Damn…"

Peter clicked his tongue. "This is what rich people are like, huh? Didn't even wait to receive the item before paying."

He replied briefly, then opened the Tomato Express app and entered the address for Lily of the Valley Island.

"…Huh?"

Peter suddenly froze.

Lily of the Valley Island—wasn't that where the Sinnoh League headquarters was located?

In the anime, that was where Ash participated in the Lily of the Valley Conference.

Which meant—

"Hold on… this guy's house is literally inside the League?"

"CrimsonBidder… buying Fire Stones…"

A bold thought struck him.

"Don't tell me—this is Flint, the Sinnoh Fire-type Elite Four?!"

The more he thought about it, the more it made sense.

His fingers flew across the screen. A quick search later—

Villa No.16, Lily of the Valley Island.

Owner: Flint.

"…Holy crap. It really is him."

Peter sucked in a breath.

"Wait—if that's the case, then Flint must have a huge demand for Fire Stones."

The logic was simple.

As a Fire-type Elite Four member, Flint would naturally need Fire Stones in bulk—whether for evolution, training, or specialized equipment.

And judging by how rushed he sounded, this wasn't casual stockpiling.

Without hesitation, Peter sent another message—this time with an image attached.

Three crystal-clear, blazing-red gemstones shimmered on the screen.

Three premium-grade Fire Stones.

The reply came almost instantly.

CrimsonBidder:

"Premium Fire Stones?! Name your price. I'll take all three."

Bingo.

Premium Fire Stones were practically unobtainable on the open market—but at the same time, they weren't items ordinary Trainers could afford or even consider.

Most civilian Trainers struggled just to pay for food and medicine. Evolution Stones were already a luxury, let alone premium ones.

The urgency in the other party's tone made it even clearer.

This was almost certainly Flint himself.

Peter's heart raced.

If this went smoothly, he was about to cash in big.

"…Flint's personality is supposed to be impulsive and straightforward, right?"

Peter pondered for a moment, then typed:

Peter:

"One price. 1.4 million Poké Dollars."

After sending it, he stared at the screen, waiting.

He was gambling.

Gambling that Flint desperately needed Fire Stones, that department store supply was insufficient, and that he'd been forced onto the forum because of it.

Market price for a premium Fire Stone was around 300,000 Poké Dollars, but supply was always extremely limited.

Paying extra wasn't unusual.

Still—

1.4 million for three stones was over 50% markup.

Pure daylight robbery.

Then came the reply.

CrimsonBidder:

"…Bold price. Fine. Send them together. Money's transferred—check it."

Peter's phone rang again.

'Your Tomato Bank card has received 1,400,000 Poké Dollars.'

"…Damn."

Flint didn't even argue.

The system voice was loud enough that several nearby Trainers glanced over. Peter awkwardly muted his phone and called Tomato Express for pickup.

"Good thing this is the Pokémon world…"

He sighed in relief. "Stuff like murder-for-loot and scams is basically nonexistent."

With the deal done, Peter opened the system panel.

He didn't rush to break Lopunny's talent cap.

At his current stage, over a million Poké Dollars could do a lot.

And even if he broke the limit, he didn't have enough spare money or talent points to push further anyway.

Better to invest in immediate combat power.

He opened the training panel and selected Indeedee.

[Training Target: Indeedee — Analyzing…]

Strengths & Weaknesses:

Outstanding talent, Hidden Ability unlocked, intelligence surpassing humans. Exceptional Special Attack and Speed. Defense is weak. Best suited for kiting, artillery, and tactical control. Close combat is a notable weakness.

Summary:

A newborn but top-tier "little maid." With high intelligence and psychic link capabilities, she excels at daily tasks, learns skills rapidly, and executes commands with extreme precision in battle.

Indeedee – Early-Stage Training Plan

Ability Training – Psychic Surge

Psychic Surge requires at least Proficient mastery of Psychic Terrain to activate reliably.

Training Methods:

Learn Psychic Terrain naturally and maintain it in daily lifeAssisted training using items such as Terrain Extender

Peter froze when he saw this.

Unlike in games, Abilities in reality had activation thresholds.

Whether it was Lopunny's partially awakened Speed Boost, Indeedee's Psychic Surge, or even anime examples like Infernape's Blaze—all of them required training to fully control.

Peter chuckled.

"So that means Dolliv training Grassy Terrain early was actually the right call by accident…"

After evolution, Dolliv's Ability would become Seed Sower, creating Grassy Terrain when hit—an extremely powerful effect.

…..

Affection Training

Indeedee naturally seeks joy and gratitude by caring for people and Pokémon.

Recommendation:

Provide frequent opportunities to help others and praise her often.

(P.S. Don't hold back—using this little maid generously will rapidly increase affection~)

Peter stared at the screen in silence.

"…This system," he muttered, "is getting more unhinged by the day."

But deep down—

He was grinning.
