Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Let's Date

After a long six-hour flight, the plane landed smoothly at LAX.

Having received the news early, Margot Robbie had already been waiting in the airport for quite some time.

"Leon~"

As soon as they met, Robbie gave him a warm hug. Neither of them explicitly broke the ice about their relationship, but their intimate behavior was just like a couple.

"Welcome to Los Angeles. You said you like Chinese food before, and I happen to know the best Chinese restaurant in LA~"

With that, Robbie dragged Leon away without waiting for a response, leaving Phil and Bonnie standing there, confused.

Climbing into Robbie's red Ford F-150 pickup, Leon finally couldn't help but comment, "You drive a truck like this?"

"What's wrong? I like big trucks. Don't you?"

Looking at Robbie's athletic thighs, Leon murmured, "I like it, actually..."

Robbie grew up on a farm in Queensland, Australia. To a New Yorker, she was a typical country girl, sharing many similarities with the "redneck girls" of Texas.

Chatting along the way, they unknowingly arrived in the San Gabriel Valley, also known by a more resonant name: "Chinese Valley."

The number of Chinese people here was no less than in Flushing, New York. Looking at the streets full of Chinese faces, Leon briefly thought he had traveled back to East Asia.

New York used to be the top gathering place for immigrants ("Runners"), but that's in the past.

With its more inclusive policies, Los Angeles has become the number one spiritual utopia for immigrants, with the number of undocumented immigrants skyrocketing in recent years.

Walking into an unassuming Chinese restaurant, Leon almost lost it as soon as he saw the food served on the table.

General Tso's Chicken, Cola Chicken Wings, Orange Juice Double Cooked Pork...

Although his memories of his past life were blurry, the taste of his mom's cooking was something he still remembered.

Looking at this table of "Chinese food" filled with American elements, and then at Robbie's expectant big eyes... "How is it? Isn't it great?!"

Leon could only nod while eating.

After the meal, they strolled along the street. Robbie, who had never been to East Asia, seemed very interested in the street vendor culture.

The whole Chinatown was like a lively town market, full of dazzling small commodities.

These goods from the world's largest small commodity market (Yiwu) saw their value multiply more than tenfold as soon as they crossed the ocean.

Checking his phone, Leon frowned. Phil had connected with the organizers of the MTV VMAs, and there were some gala details that needed his attention.

"Robbie, I think we should go back..."

"Honey! Come here quickly! Look at these!"

Before Leon could finish, Robbie pulled him to a mysterious stall, and the address changed from "Leon" to "Honey."

Arriving at the stall, he was instantly stunned. Such an inconspicuous stall was actually selling men's desires.

Nurse outfits, maid outfits, hot teacher outfits, flight attendant outfits...

All kinds of professional uniforms were here, but none of them were the serious kind.

Either they couldn't contain the "big thunders," or they couldn't cover the "tail lights."

"I think this is way more interesting than Victoria's Secret. What do you think?"

The owner, speaking with a heavy Northern Fujian accent in broken English, said, "Miss, you are so beautiful. If you wear my clothes, your boyfriend will love you to death!"

Boyfriend?

Leon didn't fuss over the owner's choice of words. What attracted his attention was the price of the goods here!

A full set of cosplay costumes cost only $20. If you bought just a pair of panties, it was only $10.

And the styles were even more flamboyant and bold than Victoria's Secret.

"Where are these clothes made?"

"Made in China~ Pick whatever you want, the quality is undeniable."

Leon shook his head and asked, "I mean, can you contact the manufacturer?"

This question stumped the owner. These products had passed through several hands of Chinese traders before reaching him.

After thinking for a while, he stammered, "Seems like... Guanyun? I don't remember clearly."

"Guanyun?"

Leon silently repeated the name several times in his heart, memorizing it.

Just these styles alone were enough to drive rich New Yorkers crazy. What these products lacked was a powerful brand to empower them.

Big shots like P. Diddy who threw orgies every day made fake eggplant manufacturers rich.

Rumor has it that the nr bought thousands of differently shaped fake eggplants every year to satisfy his crazy party needs.

After getting the stall owner's contact info, Leon turned to leave.

He had many details about tomorrow's VMA ceremony to discuss with Phil. The spotlight of the entire entertainment industry would be focused there, so he had to ensure nothing went wrong.

"Let's go, Robbie..."

"Robbie?"

As soon as he turned around, he saw Robbie carrying big and small bags, while the stall owner counted money excitedly nearby.

"WTF did you buy?"

"I bought every style they had. I could tell you liked all of them~" Robbie flashed a cunning, fox-like smile. "Which one do you want to see me wear tonight?"

Tonight?

What does that mean?

Smack—

Leon was still completely confused when Robbie planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Robbie... you..."

"Shh..." Robbie put a finger to Leon's lips. "I want to ask you a question. Do you like me?"

Leon was stumped by this question. He really liked Robbie's straightforward personality.

This girl came from a farm family in Australia, fundamentally different from those money-grubbing women in New York.

Even stepping back a bit, she was a rising star in Hollywood. Once the news of them dating got out, Leon's exposure would rise exponentially.

"You're not speaking, so that means yes?"

"Then let's officially start dating from today!"

Robbie held Leon's face and was about to launch an attack, but this time her "reverse push" didn't succeed.

Because Leon took the initiative!

The two engaged in a lip-locking battle right there on the street as if no one else existed.

"Whoa..."

When they separated, Robbie's cheeks were flushed, her eyes heavy with desire.

Unsurprisingly, the two soon appeared at the famous Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

As soon as Leon released the seal, he pinned Robbie down, ready to attack.

"Wait!"

"What's wrong?"

"I like to take the initiative!"

Saying this, under Leon's surprised gaze, Robbie flipped over and completed a counter-pin, staring at Leon like an aggressive leopardess.

Under this fatal temptation, Leon instantly felt his throat itch, dry like a traveler about to die of thirst in the desert.

"Wait again!"

"What now?"

Robbie smiled playfully, rolled off the bed, and spread all the mysterious equipment she bought today on the floor.

"Which one do you want to see me wear?"

"Anything works..."

"Then let's go with this one~" Robbie picked up the tight "Hot Teacher" outfit. "Let me see which bad student dares to misbehave?"
