Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: First larping Character; Alyosha Karamazov

Imagine this: a guy gets exposed by a social media platform known as MediaTok on TikTok. Just a simple guy who likes reading novels, watching por—anime, and reading fanfics. Then one day, when he opens TikTok, he's immediately greeted by a character known as Alyosha Karamazov, the main character of The Brothers Karamazov, written by Dostoevsky.

And that is exactly the situation I'm in.

Ever since I watched and read some of Alyosha's dialogues and monologues—about universal love, high morality, universal forgiveness, and more philosophical brainrot—I've been acting like him. Shakes, smooth edits, cool AI voices—honestly, it was entertaining. I even adapted it into real life… to the point where my classmates said I became mentally ill.

I guess if MediaTok somehow noticed me, they'd make larping edits of me. Hell, they might even paint an oil portrait and dub me "the best representation of larping" or something.

Before Alyosha's influence took over, back when I still watched anime and read novels normally, I believed humanity was a disease—a disastrous incarnation incapable of morality. I mean, who wouldn't? Death, war, weakness, fragility, and undeniable cruelty.

I even imagined having the power to change humanity itself, or god-like authority to rewrite truth. But such a thing is incomprehensible.

Yet after Alyosha's influence seeped into my mind, I gained something close to enlightenment. I began to see humanity as a whole—evil, yes, but also good. Humanity is a disease, but so is life. Whether humanity exists or not, cruelty is simply part of existence. Destruction leads to creation. Stars explode into supernovae, and only through their death are new stars born from their remnants.

In Alyosha's view, everything deserves a second chance—evil seeking forgiveness, good seeking joy. God's miracle was never power, but love. Love transcends time and space. It overcomes pleasure and destroys lust. Forgive those who harm you, and pray even for those who condemn you.

Truly, once exposed to such an idea, one becomes part of it.

Anyway—after that larping phase of mine, I died.

Yes. I died. D-I-E-D.

Not from assassination. Not from something that defied physics. I died because I slipped into a manhole.

Yes. Stupid. I know. No need to rub it in.

I was too busy watching Alyosha banger edits to notice my surroundings—whether it was a highway or an ordinary road.

So when I opened my eyes, what greeted me was a massive eye, surrounded by four wheels rotating along multiple axes at once. Within those rings, countless eyes bore straight into my soul.

It radiated a brilliance that clearly outshone the sun—though I've never actually stared at the sun. That would burn your eyesight. Only an idiot would do that. Anyway, back to the story.

Everything around us was filled with blinding white light. Clouds that felt near yet infinitely far. White hills. And yes—an angel.

"Be not afraid—" a thunderous voice echoed through my ears, making me scream so loudly I think I drowned out his voice.

"AHHH!!!"

My eyes widened at the holy sight before me. Then realization hit—I was screaming way too loud. Embarrassment washed over me.

"Ahem. My apologies, O esteemed one." I bowed my head and knelt on all fours.

"O image of my Father. O child of my Father. O Child of Man, I greet you."

Oddly enough, I could understand him. Not the glitchy, distorted nonsense TikTok always portrays—this sounded… humane.

"Uh… hi?" I waved nervously as I stood back up.

"We bow before you, O Child of my Father."

The ball—yes, the ball—somehow bowed. I guess the upper part of its eyeball tilted downward.

"Come, O Child of my Father. Let us sing praise for our Father. Let us bathe in His grace."

My body began to levitate. Before I could respond, my vision blurred—no, everything turned into light itself.

We traveled at light speed. The boundless realm didn't seem to move, despite how fast we were going. The speed kept increasing until reality itself felt irrelevant. Then we stopped.

I stood among the Thrones. Thousands—millions—perhaps billions of angels sang beautifully. Before me was a glowing, pure light. Its silhouette resembled a man, a dove, and something entirely formless all at once.

Before I could speak, He laughed.

He patted my back—not mockingly, but with warmth and amusement. Not because of my death… probably.

"Son, you died… pfft!"

The singing stopped. Angels surrounded me, ruffling my hair and gently touching me.

"Uh…"

God wasn't what I expected. Humane, yet not. He understood emotions—not beneath Him, but as part of Himself.

"It's fine, it's fine. Do not worry," He said softly. "How was your life, my child?"

He conjured a massive carpet, and we sat casually.

"It was good. Thanks for asking… I guess." I scratched my head. I might get dandruff at this rate.

"But more importantly—why am I here?"

"How? Why ask such a thing?" He lowered His head, looking disappointed. "Do you believe you are unworthy to be with Me? Do you reject Me?"

"Ah—no, no! Not that." I shook my head quickly. "I'm just confused. I mean, I sinned. I never even asked for forgiveness."

"Ahh, I see," He said gently. "You fear separation from Me. Worry not—you will not be cast into the abyss."

Wow. God really could read minds.

"I am not reading your thoughts," He smiled. "Your face already tells me."

"Ah…" Heat crept into my cheeks.

"You died young," He continued. "Would you like Me to create another universe for you to be reborn in?"

"Eh—seriously?" I asked.

"For real."

"I guess…?" I answered hesitantly. Isn't this moving too fast?

"Then, My children," God's voice echoed warmly, "it is time to roll the roulette for your sibling!"

Lo and behold—a roulette so massive I couldn't see its edges. God placed my hand on it.

"Spin, my child."

I nodded, excited. Another universe—who wouldn't be? Maybe I'd become a loving priest this time.

I spun it with all my strength. The roulette spun so fast it generated violent winds—yet I didn't move an inch.

"What will you do once you arrive in the new world?" God asked.

I thought for a moment. "I think… I'll keep larping Alyosha. He's a great character. Loveable. Inspiring."

"I see. Will you abandon yourself for him?"

"No." I smiled. "I may sin. I may think dark thoughts. I may seek pleasure. I'm human. Whether I gain power or not, humanity still lives within me—not as Alyosha, but as me."

God looked satisfied.

The roulette finally stopped.

Larping System.

"…Wait. That exists?"

"Uhh—why is it larping—AHHH!!! GOD, WHY!?"

Before I could ask more, God threw me into a black hole, waving cheerfully.

"Bye-bye."

"GOD!!! I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS!!!"

Darkness swallowed me whole—warping my body, dissolving my existence, until I vanished into the void.

—--------

"Hn…?"

When I woke up, I found myself lying in an alley. Scratching my head, I couldn't help but feel confused.

"Wasn't that a bit too fast?" A soft sigh escaped my lips.

"System?"

The moment I said it, a transparent golden panel appeared before me. There were only four tabs: Gacha, Progress Bar—self-explanatory—Storage, and Abilities Banner.

Storage… maybe that's where I keep other characters? Perhaps. Anyway, let's open the starting pack.

I pressed the yellow box. A triumphant sound echoed in my ears, and five golden tickets labeled 'Best Representation of ___' appeared, along with three golden tickets titled 'It's a Dangerous World, So Have One, King.'

"I see. So that's how it is. I understand." I nodded calmly and tapped the Gacha tab.

Looking at the rates, my face immediately twisted.

Rainbow: 0.26%

Gold: 1.48%

Silver: 30%

Bronze: 80%

"Dang… oh well. Gacha! Gacha! God, please forgive me—but gimme rainbow!"

I tapped the [DRAW] button. Light erupted from the panel.

I think I've become a fanatic, but who cares? It's gacha.

When the light finally faded, a single rainbow card appeared.

"Looks kinda gay—but YAHOO!!" I shouted, celebrating my absurd luck.

The card revealed its name:

Alyosha Karamazov

[EQUIP?]

"What the peak?!" I yelled, grabbing the back of my head as my eyes widened.

Excitement surged through my body. Without hesitation, I tapped Yes.

My appearance changed instantly—long, wavy brown hair, innocent yet gentle brown eyes, a robe resembling that of a medieval priest, and a silver cross hanging from my neck.

"Ah… I've truly become Alyosha. Blessed be this peak…" I clasped my fingers together and looked upward.

Shaking my head, I tapped the Abilities / Weapon Banner, which worked the same way as the character gacha.

Not that I needed power—but since this world was dangerous, just like the ticket said, I suppose it couldn't be helped. I am human, and helping humanity is what makes me human.

I tapped [GACHA] once more.

Light erupted again—this time revealing two gold cards.

They flipped over:

[Third True Magic: Heaven's Feel]

[Jewel Sword]

"Hm…" I stared at them, then tapped [Third True Magic].

A description appeared.

> [Immortality. A miracle itself. The body may perish, but the soul shall ascend higher. The ultimate immortality. Unlimited mana.]

"Wow…" I muttered. "Does that mean I can sacrifice myself without dying? And if I keep sacrificing myself, wouldn't that make me the Best Representation of Sacrifice or Utilitarianism…?"

I nodded eagerly. "Now that's what you call peak."

Next, I tapped the Jewel Sword.

> [A sword once owned by a certain vampire troll. Capable of utilizing the Second Magic, allowing the user to draw potentially infinite magical energy.]

"Hm… now that's cool." I grinned.

I equipped the Third True Magic.

Nothing happened.

My excitement instantly died out, and a sigh escaped my lips.

"And here I thought it'd be like when Goku goes Super Saiyan—screaming, glowing, feeling energy or something."

Shaking my head in disappointment, I equipped the Jewel Sword and fastened it to my clothes.

"Alright then."

I stepped out of the alley, raising my voice with enthusiasm.

"Here I come, world! I'll be larping and be dubbed the Best Representation of Anything!!"

With that, I began walking calmly, my hair fluttering in the gentle wind. The stroll wasn't bad at all—aside from the stares directed at me. Nevertheless, I smiled and waved back. Truly, this was… pleasant.

After walking for a while, I found myself in a park. I took a seat on a nearby bench and began planning my next move. This world was unfamiliar, yet the civilization remained mostly the same as my old one—though slightly lacking, it was still recognizable.

The signs on the shops were written in kanji… perhaps. Either way, since I was now Alyosha, I supposed I should take that role seriously and live as he would.

"Yosh, with that, I should continue—"

Before I could finish, I heard something fall, followed by a soft cry of pain. I looked up and—wait, was that a green pan—no. No. Scratch that thought. I am innocent.

I stood up and walked toward the girl who had tripped. When I reached her, I extended my hand.

"Ouch…" she murmured, still facing the ground.

"Are you okay?" I asked, concern slipping into my voice.

She looked up, revealing pure, innocent eyes. Golden-blonde hair framed her face, only enhancing that fragile gentleness.

'Isn't this… Asia Argento?'

As she took my hand, she smiled—soft, untainted.

"I-I'm fine… Father? Are you… the one who came to meet me?" she asked, blinking.

'She's even more innocent than I imagined. Goodness… I must protect this child, no matter the cost.'

"Yes," I replied calmly, releasing her hand afterward. "Are you perhaps Asia Argento?"

"Yes, Father!" she answered sweetly.

Her large suitcase lay beside her. I bent down and lifted it.

"Ah—Father, you don't have to do that. I can carry it myself," Asia said quickly, trying to take it back.

I shook my head.

"It's fine. It's my duty to take care of you. After all, we are both children of God," I said with a gentle smile, already holding the suitcase.

"Let's go."

Her face lit up as she followed beside me.

As we walked away, I noticed a young man standing in the distance—brown spiky hair, green eyes, an open striped uniform with a red shirt underneath.

'Issei Hyoudou…'

I sighed inwardly.

'Forgive me. I cannot allow you to taint Asia's innocence. I cannot allow her to become a devil—nor a pawn in this fractured world.'

It wasn't hatred. Issei wasn't a bad person. He was kind, selfless even. Yes, his perverted tendencies were… questionable, but he was someone who risked his life to protect those he loved.

He was one of my favorite protagonists—not as the "boob dragon," but as Issei Hyoudou, the man who sacrificed himself for others.

Asia noticed my gaze and turned to look as well.

"Father… is something wrong?" she asked timidly.

I shook my head.

"Not at all. I was simply… reminiscing. There's nothing to worry about. Let's go. The longer we linger, the sooner they will arrive."

She didn't understand my words, but she nodded and followed me quietly.

Perhaps it was because we were still strangers—not yet close. But that didn't matter. Time would bring us together, and before long, we would speak as family.

The corner of my mouth curled upward.

Good? If so, praise me! Tee he, I might be wrong the plot since it's been a while since I watched highschool dxd but don't worry, I will redo watching it again so I can smooth things up. :) And yes, Alyosha kinda branded because of mediatok. Since mediatok keep popping out from my tiktok fyp, so why not make a fanfic from it. XD
