Chapter 24 - The Full Moon

"Master, could you maybe give me one?" Xu feng asked cautiously, trying to beg for a pill.

"You're too young. It's not suitable for you to rely on spirit pills for cultivation!"

"But Master, you're not that old either, and you're still taking spirit pills," Xu feng retorted.

How could their situations be the same?

Bai He had to reach the Golden Core stage within one month and had no choice but to use pills as assistance.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have taken them either!

"I'm the master. Listen to me," Bai He said, signaling for Xu feng to come down. Then he locked the door and left.

The moonlight that night was quite nice.

"Master, the moon is really beautiful," even Xu feng couldn't help but sigh.

Bai He stared at the full moon, feeling as though he had forgotten something very important.

What exactly was it?

Suddenly, Ye Shiyuan's face appeared in his mind.

Bai He slapped his hand against his palm and finally remembered. "Ah! It's the fifteenth today."

"Yes, Master. Otherwise, how could the moon be this full?" Xu feng replied.

Who cared whether the moon was full or not, Bai He had finally figured out where Ye Shiyuan had gone.

"Xu feng, head back to Baize Peak first. Your master still has something to take care of. I'll be leaving now."

After giving these brief instructions, Bai He summoned his sword and shot off into the distance with a whoosh.

Left behind was a completely stunned Xu feng… This master was really far too irresponsible.

Wasn't he worried that a newcomer like him might get lost?

Sigh.

No matter how unreliable he was, he was still the master Xu feng himself had acknowledged. Who else could he blame?

Under the moonlight, Bai He finally found Ye Shiyuan.

He was clutching his chest, and standing before him was a man dressed in black.

That black clad man attacking him viciously with no intention of holding back at all.

His target was Ye Shiyuan's heart.

That heart was rumored to be a Ninetinite Resonant Heart, something that appeared only once among tens of millions of people.

This heart was even more valuable than the Heavenly Soul Tempering Pill.

Today was when Ye Shiyuan was at his weakest.

People who possessed a Ninetinite Resonant Heart were, in fact, not suited for cultivation at all, yet Ye Shiyuan had chosen to cultivate regardless.

The drawback was that on every full moon night, his body would become extremely weak and he would need to remain in the Cold Lake for an entire night.

Otherwise, he would lose control of himself and might even cause irreversible consequences.

Today, Ye Shiyuan was no exception.

What he had not expected was that someone had already been lying in ambush here and waiting for him.

After exchanging several moves, Ye Shiyuan was already certain what the other party's goal was.

It was his heart.

Without a doubt.

This secret was something not even his own master knew.
