Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 Zoro and Kuina

Garp saw Genzo's awakening and the rise of his aura, and laughed: "That's more like it. This kind of aura is the spirit a Swordsman I know should have, instead of that decayed look just now."

Garp said: "Since you've come to your senses, you can take Hera as your disciple now."

Genzo said with some shame: "I have been stubborn for many years, and my awakening is thanks to your reminder. As long as you don't mind my meager strength, I am willing to do my best to teach Hera swordsmanship."

Hera was stunned. Nothing that happened during the apprenticeship was within her expectations. From Genzo saying girls couldn't be the strongest, the pace of events afterwards was too fast for her to keep up.

But looking at it now, the result is good, so it counts as a good thing.

Genzo looked at his daughter Kuina with an apologetic face: "I'm sorry for all these years, I've delayed your growth. I don't object if you want to become a Marine, but I still hope you can forgive me."

Kuina saw her father acknowledge her dream and couldn't help but cry, hugging him.

Garp whispered to Hera: "I see Kuina is also a good prospect. While you're training here, tell her more about the benefits of the Marines and see if you can bring her back to the Marine Training Camp too."

Hera was speechless at Garp's behavior of trying to pull every good prospect into the Marine.

Garp saw Hera's speechlessness and explained: "Sigh, the new generation of talent in the Marine is insufficient. Since the generation of Kizaru, Aokiji, and Akainu, the Marine hasn't produced any decent talent. Not to mention, in the Great Pirate Era, pirates keep appearing, and the Marine is short-handed."

Hera also had a good impression of Kuina. Who would dislike a child with talent, effort, and a firm will? She said: "Then you have to promise me, when I trick her into the Marine, she has to be with me when I become a Captain. No one else is allowed to snatch her."

Garp said: "Sure, sure. I'll definitely put you two together then."

When Hera came over again, she already considered Kuina as a Swordsman on her ship. Naturally, she wanted to lure her into the Marine, though not right now. Hera still wanted to go to the Marine's recruit training camp with Kuina, so she suggested to Kuina:

"Since Mr. Genzo has realized his mistake, you don't need to rush to the Marine. It just so happens that I'll be training here for three years. Grandpa Garp will come to pick me up then. If you still want to go then, come to the Marine with me."

Kuina nodded and agreed.

The Marimo-head on the side had been unable to sit still for a long time, looking at Hera with a scrutinizing gaze, as if observing a new opponent.

Genzo said: "Since Hera wants to become a disciple, come over. How much you can comprehend in three years depends on yourself."

Seeing that the goal of coming here was achieved, Garp left with peace of mind. As he walked, he said: "In that case, I will come to pick you up in three years, before the Marineford recruit training camp begins."

Kuina was happy to see a younger sister in the Dojo: "Let me show Hera around the Dojo first." Genzo nodded.

Seeing this, Kuina pulled Hera out and began to show her around, with Zoro following them.

Kuina introduced things as she pulled Hera along.

"This is the Dojo's arena. Fellow disciples spar here. Zoro and I sometimes duel here."

"This is the Dojo, where we usually train."

Then she pointed to a small room: "This is where I live. I'll tidy up later, and you can come and live with me."

Hera agreed, looking at the happy Kuina. Since transmigrating, this was the first time a girl around her age had talked so much with her, and she felt a bit constrained for a moment.

Kuina noticed Hera's constraint and turned to ask something else: "Hera, why do you want to learn the sword? Have you learned it before?"

Hera finally heard a question she could answer and relaxed: "I feel like my ability is calling me to learn the sword. I've practiced with someone before, but he always said something about following the aura or whatever. I only have a bit of understanding."

Kuina was wide-eyed when she heard Hera was an Ability user: "What ability? Did you eat a Devil Fruit? Is it convenient for me to see?"

"I get it! I'll demonstrate it, just stop shaking me."

Kuina had been curious since hearing Garp say Zoan Devil Fruit could increase physical strength. Now that she knew Hera was an Ability user, her curiosity was piqued to the extreme, and she couldn't help but shake Hera.

"Zafkiel." Following Hera's call, a gorgeous spirit dress replaced her simple clothes, and the two long guns in her hands were also summoned. A golden clock flashed in her left eye.

Kuina let out a "Wow" in amazement. This cool transformation style was too tempting for a girl her age, no less than a boy's friend suddenly pulling out a belt to transform.

Kuina held the hem of Hera's skirt and marveled: "This fabric feels so comfortable and looks so good. But does wearing this affect combat?"

Hera replied: "No. In this state, my physical fitness is partially improved, and this is my spirit dress, which significantly increases defense."

Kuina suddenly thought of something, peeked under the skirt, and looked at Hera with a slightly shy face: "Hera looks quite cute, I didn't expect her to be so bold inside."

Hera didn't expect Kuina to suddenly peek inside. Her face immediately turned red like an apple: "This comes with the spirit dress! You're the pervert!"
