By noon, she found herself alone beneath the old oak tree where Alessandro had once stood waiting.
The wind carried autumn's edge now. Sharp. Clean.
She closed her eyes.
The growl inside her was no longer chaotic.

"Fine," she whispered softly. "We stay."

She stared at the screen for a long moment before answering.
