*3rd Person View*
Choso's presence in 'The Pitt' , the name they gave the E.R, was positive, whenever he was in the building it took a weight off everyone's shoulders, some who had people on the verge of death and other's realizing death wouldn't come for their patients this shift.
The Hospital's higher ups started to take a liking to Choso due to getting an influx of patients and patient satisfaction scores being 80%, higher than private hospitals averaging 75% and public hospitals 51% making it the number 1 hospital in Torrence, even then the hospital didn't open up an empty floor, their new excuse?
Choso-his patient to door time was extraordinary when it involved physical injuries, so much so that there was always at least 3 rooms down in the E.R, 5 during Night shift and snowy days when physical injuries rise.
Choso graduated early from school after learning that 9 and 6 year olds had done it before, after slaughtering a large group of curses in frustration. He proceeded to take the necessary steps in order to graduate early.

*Choso POV*
"So you're not going to go to school with us anymore?" Shoko signed
"Yeah, I hate it honestly" I sign
"But what about everyone else!?" She signs frantically.
"Oh please, they act all nice because of what they did, they're improving but I know they tense up when I'm near, afraid to make actual jokes and walking on egg shells." I sign as she lets out a breath of resignation.
"So are you just going to forget about us!?" She signs
"Of course not, we'll hang out when I have time" I sign
"You never have time!" She signs with frustration on her face.
"Well on my days off I hang out with you guys." I sign
"If you don't leave halfway to go help at the hospital!" She signs
"I'll try to make more time then yeah?" I sign
"You better! Herman's starting to sulk a lot more without you there, he misses you and you two live together!" She signs
"We see each other in the house and talk don't worry" I sign
"When? When he stays up for hours waiting for you to get home for a 3 minute conversation?" She signs which makes me feel guilty realizing that's why Herman's been getting in trouble for dozing off in class when I pull doubles and I pull doubles most of the time.
"Shit, I'll make sure to actually have days off then, I'm sorry" I sign with a sigh
"Good, I missed you hanging out with us too" she signs, biting her lip.
"Aww, you miss me that much?" I sign before I hook an arm around her neck and give her a noogie and she pushes me away while I chuckle.
"I told you to stop doing that! I need to redo my hair now!" She signs as I laugh a bit.
"Come here" I sign as I hold my arms out.
"You better not do anything stupid!" She signs as I smile, happy she's gotten stubborn over the years and doesn't take shit as easily anymore
I gesture her to come close before she sighs and does so as I place my hands on both sides of her face making her blush as I focus.
Shoko was born with her auditory input which is what lets you hear, she can hear but at such a low level it's all muffled to the point of just noise as if someone were spinning in a room and could only barely make out colors.
It makes what I'm doing so much easier as I focus my reverse cursed technique on it and let it flow into it before I start to increase the amount I'm pouring inside in small amounts, letting her adjust to more and more before she jerks away quickly, gripping her head as she starts hyperventilating.
"Shoko" I say before she looks at me with wide eyes
"I-I can hear" she says, eyes still wide.
"Happy late birthday gift Shoko" I say with a smile.
She immediately tackles me into a hug, sobbing.
"I-I always felt like a buden to you and ewyone!" She says, her speech being somewhat decent.
"Never, we all love you Shoko" I say as I rub her back, she buries her face into my torso, hands tightened into fists on my back.
"Now, you should probably let your little sister and family know, they'd be so happy" I say which makes her gasp
"Yuzuwu!" She says before she bows quickly before she starts running home.
I smile as I start making my way home to go and take Hermy out for a movie night.

*Choso POV*
-4 hours Later, Movie Theater-
"I'm sorry I haven't been spending enough time around, Hermy" I say as we watch the movie.
"It's fine...I know you're busy saving lives" he says softly
"Doesn't mean I'm fine with not spending time with you and Grandma" I respond.
"Grandma misses you being around all the time" he says
"I know, I'm going to stop doing doubles so I can be there for the both of you okay?" I say
"Ok" he says with a tone that suggests he doesn't fully believe me.
"I promise Hermy, you ever seen me break a promise?" I ask as I look at him.
"When you told Grandma who pee'd in her flowers after I ate the rest of your Chinese food" Hermy says with a snort.
"You know how much I love Chinese food Hermy, shouldn't have poked the Elephant" I say
"Isn't it usually a bear?" He asks
"Meh, shmatatoe potato" I say with a shrug before I hook my arm around his neck and hold him close.
"I love you little brother, don't you ever forget that" I say as I kiss the top of his head.
"Love you too" he mutters, embarrassed as I smile before we turn our attention to the rest of the Movie.

*Choso POV*
-2 Hours Later, Hospital-
"I'm quitting double shifts Abott, been neglecting my family too much" I say as I heal someone from a penetrating thermal injury, they would've most definitely died in the next ten minutes due to how big the wound is and residue 'sludge'? That is green and toxic in nature which had been slowly burning through organs.
We're currently in a room with precautions in place to stop any excess levels of toxicity from leaking and hurting anyone since we don't know what this is.
"What? Shit I get that you want to spend time with your family but-you're saving tens of hundreds of people every day, yo-" He sighs before he calms himself down.
"I'm sorry" he says as we both walk out of the room, both in suits due to the patient.
"It's alright, I know the pressure's gonna skyrocket once I stop with double shifts and especially when I leave at 18 for hero work" I say as he sighs
"You could be saving lives here in the hospital, actually saving lives and not just stopping a bunch of idiots stealing tv's" he says as I smile.
"It's for my little brother, I want to be the number 1 hero in Torrence so he knows that I am the strongest and so he knows he has someone to rely on not just emotionally but physically, it's one thing being beat by someone and thinking they're strong, it's another when the entire city confirms it" I say as we go and take the suits off before getting cleared for any airborne toxins.
"I know but it's still frustrating letting you go next year especially with the shit we see, someone comes in on the brink of death with injuries that we can only help numb before they die in our beds" he says as we get confirmation.
"Especially with these fucking villains running around zapping and shooting everyone just like that kid in there" he points to the kid who I just healed, wrong place wrong time.
"I'm being selfish I know but you're not changing my mind Abott" I say
"I'm not trying to change your mind I'm trying to make sure you know what you're causing by leaving, it's not just the patients affected by deaths it's us Choso, every death makes us focus on what we could've done and regret ever choosing this goddamn job" he says with frustration
"Tell you what then, you have my number, I'll work part time-I know hospitals don't do part time but with my abilities I can make it part time. If someone comes through those doors with something you couldn't hope to fix then you call me" I say as I lean against one of four desks in the middle of The Pitt.
"That's a terrible solution" he says with desperation.
"It's the only solution available since I'm gonna go become a hero at SDN." I say
"And if they don't accept you?" He asks
"If they don't then I'll beat villains black and blue anyway" I say
"What- and still work here?" Abott asks with hope.
"Nope, time for family, either way Abott, I'm quitting full time at 18, the board will happily comply since I'll be able to renegotiate my contract by then.
Abott says nothing before he tightens his hands into fists and walks away, clearly agitated.
"Could've gone better" the charge nurse says as I turn to her.
"My family comes first, always-no matter what" I say as I sigh and fill out the paperwork for the teen.
"And the future patients families?" She asks which I don't answer before I look at the screen up top for my next patient, ignoring her.

*Choso POV*
-10 hours later 7am-
I pull up in my car, A Volvo 242 turbo automatic as I look over at our home.
I see Herman sitting on the house steps, waiting for me most likely. He hears the car and his face lights up before he stumbles with his backpack while getting up and jogs over to the car as I smile.
"Hey Hermy" I say as he gets in and shuts the door, backpack in lap.
"Hey Choso! Did they let you quit the double shifts!?" He asks with excitement.
"Yup, it's my day off tomorrow too so let's go somewhere with Shoko and them." I say with a smile.
"Ah, we were gonna go hang out at Shoko's since we're gonna help her better her English" he says
"Ah ok, I'll buy some snacks for everyone and we'll head over to Shoko's house after school is over ok?" I ask with a smile as he relaxes into the seat and I put the car in drive.
"That'd be nice, Shoko misses you" he says and I grip the wheel a bit.
"Well I guess I can see why, I haven't been around much at all and she's told me already" I say as I feel his side eye practically burning into me.

-15 hours later-
After having dropped Herman off I slept until it was time to pick him up, we went to Shoko's and surprised everyone before spending a few hours helping her pronounce words better.
She was noticeably happier when I was there according to Hermy, something I chalked up to me actually staying the whole time.
Afterwards I spent some time at home with Herman and Grandma before they went to their respective rooms and I watched the tv for a while before leaving for a drive around the city, blasting music while just thinking.
As I pass through a street on the edge of Torrence I notice a building with tons of papers covering the windows and door, likely to block any view inside since everyone avoids this part of town due to it being a villain bar.
"The Sardine" I mutter to myself as I drive for a few more hundred feet, debating to myself before I turn into a parking lot out of sight.

*3rd person View*
Inside the bar reside a wide range of villains, mostly small time due to the Sardine being known for a place where Villains gather in abundance.
There's more villains than usual due to successful mission's, the bars mood is high with smiles and laughs.
*BOOM* the door of The Sardine goes flying into the bar, hitting a poor soul sitting on one of the stools in the doors way-stopping the door and ending up unconscious as a man walks into the bar.
"The fuck!?" The bartender says from behind the bar.
"Fucking idiot" another man says as he snorts from a corner of the Bar.
"Nut up or Shut up" Choso, who kicked the door says with a smirk as he walks into the light.
"Another 'tarded super lookin to prove somethin" another man says as they smash a bottle onto their table.

*Choso POV*
The one who spoke last charges me with his bottle as blood shoots out of my blood mark, creating a solid blood hammer that falls into my palm
mid-air before I slam it into his shoulder.
*CRACK*
"AGHHH!" He yells out in agony as blood sprays out, his shoulder fractured as bone is visible.
"I don't really have a reason why I'm here, I just felt like culling you fucking ants" I say, mostly to make them afraid, I wouldn't normally speak like this but I wanna show off.
The man collapses, sobbing in pain as everyone watches with wide eyes, others tensing up for a fight.
"Scare ya?" I ask as my smirk widens into a smile before I lean forward and use -Flowing Red Scale- my blood mark thinning, one line above my nose and two lining my eyes.

*3rd Person View*
*BOOM* Choso disappears from sight of the villains and appears in mid-air in front of a man with the build of a brick shit house, both legs tucked in before he performs a drop kick which launches the man-behind the bar into the wall.
Everyone scrambles to their feet before they try to overwhelm him with numbers, four at a time while others with mid to long range abilities providing support behind them which proves ineffective as Choso doesn't stand still, he disappears from sight, constantly attacking in a flurry of punches in various spots, behind, above in front or above.
Choosing to use hand to hand with a manic grin on his face as he absolutely demolishes anyone he sees.
"I love this" Choso says as he smashes someone's jaw to dust.
"This is what I live for" he continues as he appears in front of a person shooting beams and smashes his palms into the woman's two humerus, the bone connecting her arm to her shoulder which makes them cave inward as she screams, horrified as she collapses.
"I'M ABSOLUTELY CRAZY ABOUT IT!" Choso yells out in fervor before he lets his blood spray out from his back in waves.

-1 hour later-
The moment Blonde Blazer and Phenomaman land on the sidewalk-they notice blood seeping outside onto the pavement from the Bar.
They walk in, mindful not to slip as they look around to find the entire bar lined with villains-held onto the walls with cuffs of blood surrounding a plastic chair made of blood turned away from the two of them in the middle of the bar, a man sitting on it, two buns of spiky hair styled atop his head.
"Hello?" Phenomaman asks, fear seeping into his voice as Blond Blazer tenses up in preparation for a fight as the chair liquifies into the rest of the blood coating the floor.
"You came just in time, if I knew you two superstars were coming I'd have prepared better ribbons on your gifts." Choso says while gesturing to the Villains.
"Well! I apologize for this but would you happen to be a fellow hero?" Phenomaman asks with a smile as Blonde Blazer frowns
"No, the only hero's with blood abilities don't have this level of control or energy for this volume of blood." Blonde blazer says as she puts her hands up for a fight.
"Ah! Well would you please come with us for questioning?" Phenomaman asks
"Nah, I've done enough for you guys, don't worry-the bloods mine-most of it anyway" Choso says as the blood all retracts, condensing into a ball of blood floating in Choso's palm.
"No one has any injuries physically" Choso says with a smirk as he had healed them all after beating them.
"We'll have to take you into custody for further questioning, we need to know what happened here" Blonde Blazer says as she bends her legs, ready to attack.
"Wine and dine me before we go back to your place at least, besides-I'm more into brunettes." Choso says as he tosses the ball of condensed blood and it explodes in their faces, stunning them as they're coated with blood and Choso disappears after they wipe blood from their eyes to see Choso no longer their, the Villains still cuffed.
