Chapter 80 - Chapter 81 New Friends (2)

In the hallway, Mike, holding the remaining half of a thick sandwich, walked towards the library.

Compared to the bustling school cafeteria, the library was also a good place to eat; at least it was quiet there, and no one would bother him.

Under various advantages, it also made the library a very good place for the school's marginalized people to eat.

At this moment, in the library, Sheldon was enjoying lunch with his friends.

Yes, friends.

Today in the library, besides Sheldon and Tam, who were good friends, there was also a girl at their table.

"Libby, can I borrow your twelfth grade books for a while?" Sheldon, who was eating a hot dog, asked the girl at the same table.

The girl called Libby was a sturdy and healthy girl with curly hair and thick lips.

"No problem, I'll give you the books this afternoon." Libby smiled, revealing a set of white and neat teeth, looking very approachable.

Moreover, Libby also had a pair of beautiful and lively eyes, which made people know at a glance that she was a smart girl.

This was indeed the case; a large part of the reason Sheldon could become friends with her was because this girl named Libby had an extraordinary talent in geology.

Of course, another reason Libby could sit at this table was because Tam had some more-than-friendly thoughts about this girl.

"Thank you," Sheldon, who received a positive reply from the other party, thanked him earnestly.

The twelfth grade textbooks were very important to Sheldon now. He wanted to quickly learn the knowledge on them to defeat Mike and redeem himself in the next test.

In America schools, textbooks are public property; after each batch of students is promoted, the textbooks are left for the next batch of students.

Moreover, the school also prepares some spare teaching materials every year to replace damaged textbooks.

Therefore, finding another set of twelfth grade teaching materials was not very difficult for Libby, who was in twelfth grade.

Moreover, Libby's attention at this moment was not on Sheldon.

Inadvertently, after seeing the figure walking in from the library entrance, Libby's face lit up with surprise, and her lively big eyes seemed to be emitting light.

Immediately, she covered her mouth and whispered, "Sheldon, isn't that Mike?"

Sheldon turned his head and just saw Mike walk in, and then the two simply greeted each other.

Then, Mike walked towards an empty desk.

Seeing that Mike did not come over to sit with them, Libby was a little surprised. Then, she deliberately asked, "Sheldon, isn't Mike your friend?"

Everyone in the entire school knew that Mike was boarding at Sheldon's grandmother's house and had a very good relationship with the Cooper brothers.

"Yes, we are friends." Sheldon did not deny it.

"Then why don't you invite him to come and eat with us?" Libby asked the question she cared about most.

"Why should we eat together?" Sheldon asked back seriously.

In Sheldon's heart, if it was not necessary, he preferred to eat alone.

By analogy, he felt that there was no problem with Mike choosing to eat alone.

"Uh..." Many words were stuck in Libby's throat; Sheldon's rhetorical question really stumped her.

Tam, who was beside them, spoke to relieve Libby's awkwardness, "Actually, I have a good relationship with Mike too; he has a very good personality."

Ever since Tam got an autograph from Mike, he felt that the other party was a good person.

Hearing Tam's statement, Libby immediately turned her gaze to him and said, "Is that so? As Mike's friend, I think you can call him over to eat with us. It's more lively with more people, and that creates a better dining atmosphere."

"Is, is that so?" Tam didn't expect Libby to say such a thing, and for a moment, he was a bit flustered and didn't know what to do.

To be honest, Tam and Mike had barely spoken a few words; their relationship was far from reaching the level of friendship.

As a marginalized person in the school, if it weren't for Sheldon, Tam probably wouldn't even have had the chance to talk to Mike.

His previous boast was entirely to show off in front of Libby. As a result, who knew the other party would take it seriously?

Libby only said, "Of course, eating alone is so boring." Then, she urged, "Go, invite Mike over, and we can chat."

"O-okay—" With things having reached this point, Tam could only get up and walk towards Mike.

Although he was a little nervous, to prove his reliability in front of a lady, Tam had to make this trip.

Moreover, as a marginalized person in the school, Tam indeed felt that eating alone was not as comfortable as eating with friends.

On the other side, Sheldon looked at Tam's retreating back and the unconscious smile on Libby's face, and he frowned slightly.

Although his emotional intelligence was very low, he was not stupid.

Vaguely, Sheldon sensed that things were not that simple.

At this moment, Tam also arrived in front of Mike, feeling conflicted.

Meeting Mike's gaze, Tam nervously spoke, "Mi-Mike, do you want to eat with us?"

As he spoke, Tam even forced out a stiff smile.

"Thanks, but I'm almost done eating." Mike held up the sandwich in his hand, which had less than a third left.

"Oh, okay then." Tam was so nervous he could barely breathe; after being rejected, he felt completely relaxed and turned to walk back.

However, when he turned around and saw Libby's expectant gaze, he couldn't help but stop again.

"Mike, please come and sit with us. We can chat together, and Sheldon is there too." Tam, speaking again, had a pleading expression on his face.

"Hmm?" Mike looked at Tam strangely, then glanced towards the corner.

There, Sheldon and the girl were sitting quietly, but their expressions were very different.

"Interesting, then I'll go and sit." Mike said with interest.

When he entered, Mike had noticed that girl. Being able to sit with Sheldon proved her uniqueness.

As for Sheldon's new friend, Mike felt it was necessary to get to know her.

Beside him, Tam clenched his fists excitedly when he saw Mike get up. Being able to fulfill Libby's request made him very happy.

On the other side, seeing Mike arrive, Libby quickly moved over, making space for him to sit next to her.

Mike saw the girl's small action, but he still chose to sit next to Sheldon.

"Sheldon, is she your new friend?" Mike asked curiously after sitting down.

Sheldon nodded very slightly and introduced, "Her name is Libby, she is a smart person, and very talented in geology."

Then, he introduced Mike to Libby, "His name is Mike, and he is very famous in school."

Because Mike got a perfect score on this math test, Sheldon, who was a bit unconvinced by this, intentionally avoided the topic of academics when introducing him.
