"Do not make them slaves." Her voice was calm but firm. "They are just wolves who were affected by this situation. Let them live like everyone else. So long as they do not betray us, they can work in other areas. Let them live like Nightshade wolves."
She could not watch them become slaves. This was her father's failure, not theirs. They shouldn't feel the heat because of her father's failure to treat her as his daughter.
Kade considered this for a moment, and it was because it was she who had said it. "Fine. What about your family?"
He had not touched them yet. He had been waiting. He knew she would have a word on it.
Dakota was quiet for a moment. "Let them fend for themselves."
This was her last mercy. She would not help them, but she would not destroy them either.
