Kade's hands flexed, his jaw clenching with visible restraint. "Do you have any idea how easy it would be for me to kill you?" he asked, his voice conversational despite the threat. "How quickly I could snap your neck and be done with this conversation!"
Dakota met his eyes without flinching. "Then do it."
"Or," Kade continued, his voice dropping even lower, more dangerous, "I could race down to Silver Ridge territory and kill every member of your pack. Your father. Your sister. Everyone you've ever cared about. I could do that in a matter of seconds, Dakota. My pack against yours, it wouldn't even be a fair fight."
He leaned closer, invading her space with deliberate intimidation. "So I suggest you reconsider your refusal to cooperate."
