Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Viridian Forest

Viridian Forest, Kanto Region.

It was late autumn, and the forest was carpeted with yellowing leaves, forming a golden carpet on the ground.

"Swish, swish, swish!" A majestic and powerful figure moved through the forest, stepping on the fallen leaves.

It was a beast with fiery orange-red fur, its strong body adorned with iron rings, red six-pointed star-shaped structures on its cheeks, and a golden clover-like mane embedded in its forehead. With each run, a large plume of white smoke trailed behind it like flowing clouds.

That was Entei, a member of the Ho-Oh Guard, and one of the legendary Pokémon.

Faster, it had to be faster.

Entei's majestic gaze was fixed ahead.

Not long ago, it had discovered Pokémon hunters rampaging through this forest.

To protect and rescue the Pokémon, Entei began tracking the group of Pokémon hunters.

It dared not delay, for Entei knew that if it hesitated, the Pokémon would likely be harmed or sold elsewhere by the hunters.

A faint, pungent scent of blood drifted in the wind. Entei, running, paused slightly, its majestic face sharply turning in one direction.

In a daze, Entei seemed to hear a cry in the wind, a clear and resonant sound, seemingly from a cub.

What was happening?

Entei frowned slightly. After a moment's hesitation, it decisively changed direction and ran towards the direction of the sound.

Passing through a dense, deep forest, a country road suddenly appeared ahead, stretching into the distance.

Beside the road lay an overturned car. The closer it got, the stronger the stench of blood became.

Entei frowned, slowly trudging forward on its powerful limbs.

A human corpse lay on the side of the road. It was a male, covered in wounds, seemingly attacked by a Pokémon.

Entei glanced at it, then walked past the corpse to the overturned car.

The doors and windows were completely mangled from the impact. A human woman was trapped in the driver's seat, dead, lifeless.

In the back seat, a crib was securely strapped in, and a human infant, seemingly less than a year old, lay there, crying helplessly.

'What... happened here?'

Entei frowned slightly.

Its gaze fell on a group of trembling Pokémon hiding behind a roadside tree not far away.

They were a swarm of Oddish, the kind of Pokémon you see everywhere by the roadside.

Entei summoned them and telepathically inquired, "What happened here?"

The Oddish, still terrified, managed to answer, "Oddish... Oddish!" Through their description, Entei quickly learned the events of the incident.

Not long ago, two Pokémon hunters passed through this area, rampaging through the forest and hunting wild Pokémon.

The father of a family of three passing by was brutally murdered by the hunters while protecting his Pokémon. The woman, in a panic, fled in her car, resulting in an accident.

Pokémon hunters! More Pokémon hunters!

Hearing this, an indescribable rage surged within Entei.

A fierce fire burned in its eyes, and it immediately prepared to continue pursuing the Pokémon hunters, burning them to ashes with the sacred fire bestowed upon it by Lord Ho-Oh!

However, the baby's cries from inside the car abruptly snapped it out of its rage.

Located deep within Viridian Forest, far from any human town, if he took the child to a town first, the Pokémon hunters would likely use the opportunity to escape safely.

But if the child was left here, he would probably die.

His parents had died protecting their Pokémon, and as a member of Ho-Oh's guard, Entei couldn't ignore it.

"..." After a moment of silence, Entei gritted its teeth and made a decision.

It swung its powerful claws, smashing a large hole in the car, and then used its claws to pull the human child from the back seat.

Then, Entei picked up the human child in its mouth and placed it in a hollow of a nearby giant ancient tree, intending to return to it after dealing with the Pokémon hunters.

In its haste to leave, Entei didn't notice that the human child it had carried had stopped crying and was now watching its departing figure with large, bright black eyes.

That Pokémon was… Entei?!

Fuyuki was stunned, his heart filled with complex emotions.

A few months ago, he was a struggling office worker on Earth, working for a game company that specialized in adapting web novels into games.

At that time, the company bought the game adaptation rights to a web novel called Reincarnated into Another World, Become Stronger by Shocking Others.

As an office worker, Fuyuki stayed at the company to write code in order to earn more money.

Unexpectedly, his computer exploded, transporting him to another world. He was reborn with his cheat-like code into a family living in Viridian City in the Kanto region.

Fuyuki originally thought he would live a peaceful life like Ash.

However, both of his parents in this life died.

With his reincarnated age incorrect, Fuyuki could only watch helplessly as everything unfolded. He managed to escape the two Pokémon hunters by feigning death.

After the other person left, a flood of emotions overwhelmed him. Influenced by his age, Fuyuki burst into despair, weeping bitterly—grievances of his parents' deaths and resentment at the injustice of fate.

Then, Entei appeared before him, looking radiant.

Fuyuki felt a surge of joy. He had originally thought Entei would send him back to the human city; after all, the welfare system in this world was very comprehensive.

As long as he returned there, even if he didn't become incredibly wealthy, he could at least have enough to eat and grow up safely.

When he turned ten, perhaps he could receive a starter Pokémon from the Kanto League, like Ash.

Maybe it would be Charmander, or Squirtle, or even Bulbasaur if necessary, and then, relying on the code called the "Shock Value System" that had accompanied him from his previous life, he could reach the pinnacle of success.

But Entei just tossed him into this tree hollow and left, looking radiant?

Fuyuki began to question the meaning of life.

A chilly autumn wind swept through Viridian Forest, its sound echoing eerily as it whistled through the tree hollows.

It was cold… Even though humans in the Pokémon world have a unique constitution, at the very least, Fuyuki was still just a toddler, not even a year old.

The wind made Fuyuki feel a sudden chill.

So cold… Night was falling soon, and with it, the temperature in Viridian Forest would plummet. Not only that, but many dangerous wild Pokémon would become active at night.

Fuyuki was filled with despair, his heart screaming in helplessness.

This is my new life, Please don't mess with this also!
