Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: I Am Soldier Boy!

Time lost all meaning.

Somewhere deep in the ocean, far beneath the surface, Leon Stark slowly regained consciousness.

Most of his injuries had miraculously healed, only a few raw, crater-like scars still lingered on his face, wriggling faintly as if knitting themselves shut.

"What the actual fuck?!"

"Where the hell did I end up this time?!"

He blinked through the gloom.

A faint blue energy barrier was wrapped around his body, separating him from the crushing pressure of the deep sea.

His thoughts were sluggish, but then, like a dam breaking, a flood of memories from his past life came crashing in.

[System detected: Host consciousness stabilized. Newbie protection will disengage in 3... 2... 1...]

"Wait, what?!"

Pop.

The energy membrane vanished instantly.

The crushing pressure of the deep sea bore down on him from all directions. Leon gasped. His lungs compressed.

"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'M GONNA DIE!"

Still unaware of just how powerful he'd become, Leon kicked into survival mode and instinctively swam upward.

Clang!

The two-finger-thick iron chain tethering him to the stone snapped like string. He barely even noticed.

Gasp! Gasp!

He finally burst through the surface, collapsing onto the nearby shore, greedily sucking in fresh air.

Lying sprawled like a giant "X" on the sand, Leon didn't move for several minutes.

Then finally, he looked at himself. Really looked.

And remembered everything.

In his previous life, he had been a foreign international student.

One fine day, while walking down a street in New York, he'd been watching the season finale of The Boys Season 3 on his phone.

The scene where Homelander betrayed his teammates had him laughing in disbelief, so much so that he stepped into traffic without noticing.

One unfortunate full-insurance half-trailer later…

Boom. Welcome to the Marvel Universe.

Now he was Leon Stark, the fraternal twin brother of Iron Man Tony Stark.

Everything that happened after that? A blur. But eventually, through a series of dumb-luck events, he unlocked a cheat:

The Daily Sign-In System.

Its gimmick was exactly what it sounded like, sign in every day to receive a random reward.

And when they said random, they meant it: anything from cosmic artifacts to quantum-level particles. RNGesus was real.

Fortunately, Leon's luck wasn't bad.

His starter reward? The Soldier Boy Template.

In this world that looked suspiciously like the MCU, Soldier Boy wasn't just some edgy knock-off superhero, he was the top-tier powerhouse of The Boys universe. A bootleg blend of Captain America and a dozen other properties, but with actual firepower.

Definitely a combat force to be reckoned with.

Far above Cap in raw strength. Far above most.

Leon tested his strength by scooping up a handful of sand and lightly tossing it at the ocean.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

It hit the surface like shotgun pellets.

That was barely 5% of his power.

Terrifying.

Next came body tests: smashing rocks on his chest, uprooting small trees barehanded… All effortless.

In short, he was now a one-man super-powered disaster zone.

In the original show, Soldier Boy had feats like brushing his teeth with a machine gun, using lasers as skincare, and puffing halothane like it was chewing gum.

Extreme durability, toxin resistance, and in his prime, he could overpower even Homelander.

Then there was his signature chest cannon, the ability to blast away superpowers, erasing them completely.

Leon didn't dare test that one casually. Too dangerous.

But it meant only one thing:

He was now a walking nuclear reactor.

God-tier power… with a cooldown.

(And no, by "god" we're not talking about cosmic entities like Eternity or Infinity. We mean the likes of Thor and the Asgardian pantheon.)

Sure, the chest blast needed charging.

But hey, better to have it than not. Always good to have a trump card, especially in a world where people could fly and throw moons.

Still, Leon didn't let power go to his head.

This universe might not be as apocalyptic as the comics, but there were plenty of beings stronger than him.

Take the Ancient One, for example.

He wouldn't last five seconds against her.

But with the system on his side, Leon wasn't worried. He could bide his time, lay low, power up.

Then one day, when he was ready?

"This Earth will be protected. No more beef."

(Pun intended.)

[Would you like to sign in for today?]

"System… show me what you've got!"

[Ding! Daily Sign-In Complete. Congratulations, Host. You've received: Super Regeneration.]

[Super Regeneration: No matter the injury, the body will heal rapidly. As long as a single cell remains, full recovery is possible (with extended time required).]

[Description: "I heard the echo of endless life, and rejected death."]

(Note: Recovery effect modeled after Muzan Kibutsuji's regeneration in Demon Slayer, except this version has no side effects. Regeneration power comparable to Majin Buu. Faster than Deadpool. Just ridiculously OP.)

"Oh-ho-ho… jackpot!"

Leon grinned so wide he thought his face might crack.

This ability? Basically a license to do whatever the hell he wanted.

Deadpool: "Let me see this crazy bastard."

In an instant, the scars on Leon's face vanished completely, no trace of injury remained.

[Ding! First sign-in complete. Character Panel unlocked.]

Suddenly, a semi-transparent blue interface appeared before his eyes, only visible to him.

Host: Leon Stark

Abilities: Soldier Boy Template, Super Regeneration

Items: Soldier Boy Combat Set

(Note: All system items are automatically stored in the system space and can be freely accessed within a 100-meter radius.)

"Huh… limited range, but still super handy."

Leon glanced down at the filthy rags clinging to his body and immediately frowned.

As someone who prided himself on his image, he couldn't tolerate this fashion crime.

With a thought, he retrieved the Soldier Boy outfit from the system and changed on the spot.

Boom, new level of swagger unlocked.

The shield, which most couldn't even budge, felt light in his hands, moving like an extension of his body.

That's the power of absolute strength.

"I am f■■king Soldier Boy!"

As the thrill of power slowly faded, Leon's grin sobered.

He hadn't forgotten.

His brother Tony was probably still trapped in some cave in Afghanistan, being forced to build weapons by the Ten Rings.

"Obadiah, you snake… just wait."

With his memories fully returned, Leon didn't need a genius IQ to figure out who had tried to kill him.

Obadiah Stane wanted full control of Stark Industries, and Leon and Tony were in the way.

Clearly, Uncle Obie had decided to stop pretending to be human.

Now?

Leon was running faster than most cars on the road. His enhanced body was a blur. Fortunately, the cliff where he got attacked wasn't far from the villa.

In just a few minutes, he was home.

Pepper wasn't around. She was likely out coordinating the search or doing damage control.

And Leon?

He was about to unleash hell.
