Chapter 29 - The Confrontation: Ego vs. Gold

The Lot Legends Gym was a crucible of elite athletes. The sound of Aiko's (8% fat, 57 kg) uppercuts on the heavy bag boomed like artillery, while Hana (9% fat, 52 kg) and Yumi (8% fat, 56.5 kg) sparred with blinding speed in the ring. Twenty paying students watched in awe. The gym, a fortress built on $5,400 fundraising and $3,100 Tokyo prizes, pulsed with energy. The $1,800 ring, the gleaming 70 kg weights, and the red-fist logo radiated an aura of untouchable success. Two security cameras silently recorded everything.

Rewan (65 kg) and Herlen (58 kg) sauntered in, looking cheap and out of place in their loose hoodies. They ignored the boys, their eyes fixed on the female champions.

Rewan (Cocky, tossing gloves down): "Well, look who's here. The Lot Legends gym... or is this the 'National Hottie Club' now? Skipping classes for this, Hana? And Aiko, still playing with those little weights?"

Hana (Bantamweight Gold, pausing her heavy bag drill): "Still talking, Rewan? That's the only thing you're fast at. If you're not here to pay for a $350 lesson, leave. The gym's full of champions, not trash."

Herlen (Aggressive, sneering at Hana and Aiko): "Relax, champ. We saw the KOs. Impressive. You girls are looking... very strong. Maybe we can have a little private victory spar? Me and Rewan can show you what real strength feels like, away from the weights."

Aiko (Featherweight Gold, crossing her arms, her 8% fat muscles flexing): "You look at me and see a 'girl,' Herlen. I see a human heavy bag waiting for my championship uppercut. And that 'private spar' talk? That's not training. That's disrespect. You'll be talking to my fist."

Rewan (To Date, trying to provoke): "Easy, Tanaka. Don't let the girls handle your business. We came for revenge, but honestly, getting a little reward from your Bantamweight and Featherweight queens would be a better way to save face. How about it, champ? You boys step aside."

Date (Light Welterweight Gold, stepping into the ring, radiating cold authority): "You want to earn respect, not demand it, Rewan. You came for revenge, but you showed disrespect. That means you pay double. You two face every single Lot Legend, girls first."

Herlen: "All nine? Against just us? We'll school the champs!"

Date: "No street fighting. Boxing rules, 3-minute rounds, 10 oz gloves, headgear, supervised. Cameras on, no tricks. You wanted to break us? We're going to break your will. Get ready to eat canvas."

The Gauntlet: Humiliation by Champions

The crowd of paying students, now joined by Kaito (filming) and Mei (sketching), pressed against the ropes. The air was electric. Rewan and Herlen were forced to endure nine brutal rounds back-to-back with no rest. The gap between their sloppy street-fight aggression and the crew's nationals-honed, power-conditioned discipline was catastrophic.

The Girls: The Initial Wave of Destruction

Spar 1: Hana vs. Rewan (Bantamweight Gold): Hana slipped Rewan's wild haymaker, landing a rapid Jab-Hook-Cross to the body and jaw. Rewan gasped, buckling. Hana used a signature Roundhouse Hook (Mori KO power) to send him staggering against the ropes at 2:10. Date stopped it early. Hana: "That's a Bantamweight Gold medal rejection. Go home."

Spar 2: Aiko vs. Herlen (Featherweight Gold): Herlen rushed; Aiko blocked and immediately drove her championship Uppercut (Tanaka KO power) straight into his chin, knocking his headgear askew. A brutal Body Cross to his liver dropped him to a knee at 1:45. Aiko: "You look at me and see 'girl,' Herlen? I see a $350 lesson you can't afford. Get up."

Spar 3: Yumi vs. Rewan (Featherweight Silver): Rewan was wobbly. Yumi (Kaori fight honed) slipped his weak jab and slammed her Knee-Strike Hook into his ribs, folding him over in pain. She followed with a power cross that spun him, forcing Date to call it at 2:00. Yumi: "My 8% body fat is for punching, not pleasing. You got hurt because you're weak."

Spar 4: Emi vs. Herlen (Bantamweight Silver): Herlen was panting. Emi rolled away from his weak punch effortlessly, then unleashed a clean Jab-Cross combo (Asuka fight power) to his face. Herlen turned his back, glassy-eyed. Date stopped the spar at 1:55. Emi: "Stay down, flirt. Your ego's bruised worse than your ribs."

The Boys: The Final Nail in the Coffin

The girls' power had already shattered the rivals' morale. The boys finished the job instantly.

Spar 5: Date vs. Rewan (Light Welterweight Gold): Rewan was barely standing. Date used his Flash Step, feinted a jab, and delivered a clean Right Cross (Taichi KO power) to the jaw. Rewan dropped flat, completely KO'd at 0:40. He was revived by Kaito's water. Date: "That's my gym. Don't come back."

Spar 6: Kenji vs. Herlen (Featherweight Semis): Herlen, limping, faced Kenji. Kenji's hook (Mori loss avenged) smashed his body, followed by a clean cross to the chin. Herlen dropped, coughing violently, crying "Mercy!" at 1:15. Kenji: "The only thing lethal here is our discipline. Learn respect."

Spar 7: Toshiro vs. Rewan (Bantamweight Silver): Rewan was slow. Toshiro's speed jab (Yuto fight honed) snapped Rewan's head back, followed by a power hook to the body. Date called it at 1:30. Toshiro: "Silver's stronger than your whole crew, clown."

Spar 8: Sora vs. Herlen (Featherweight Silver): Herlen could barely lift his arms. Sora's untouchable weave dodged a desperate hook, and his quick counter-cross sent Herlen stumbling. Sora: "You're done, mumble. Stay out of our light."

Spar 9: Riku vs. Rewan (Lightweight Gold): Rewan was forced to stand one last time. Riku, the Lightweight Gold, needed 30 seconds. A massive power hook (Fujimoto KO) to the jaw. Rewan was annihilated. Final KO. Riku: "Gold says stay gone forever."

Aftermath and Legacy

Rewan and Herlen, bruised, humbled, and completely destroyed, limped out of the gym, jeered by the class kids chanting "Legends! Legends! GOLD!" The two cameras had captured every blow, securing evidence against any future trouble.

The humiliation was absolute. The rivals' crew dissolved fully. The spectacle pushed class signups to 50 kids, projecting weekly revenue to $550. Taro's jock rumors died immediately. Mr. Sato, arriving just after the incident, was relieved by the clean sparring match.

Date, wiping the sweat from his Gold Medal jacket, surveyed the scene. "Rewan's done, Taro's silent, and the gang guy's jailed. We eliminated the last of the local noise. Pro tryouts in June for JABF are next. The world is watching, Lot Legends. Forever!"
